It's nice that a place like this did not pull punches with the heat quality of their sauces and salsas. Come to think of it, the complimentary house chips and salsa at the top of our meal also featured a hot salsa. We Angelenos loved the default style but it constantly had the alarms going off. Really, it was a good way to break in our palates because the green sauce managed to be even hotter. There were enough varied notes between the two iterations of heat to keep the meal interesting. My wife thought the tilapia was evenly fried. She didn't have as much fun with the rice and beans, the otherwise plain sides, but they helped get the whole tilapia down. This place fed us.
