I want to start off by this...I'm originally from New Jersey approximately 15 minutes away from Philadelphia. With that being said, this is the best Philly cheesesteak I've had being outside of Philly. The establishment is small and all the meats are cooked on a grill. The moment you get it, they have to double bag the sandwich because the grease is coming out of the bag. The sandwich has a perfect mixture of the cheese, peppers, onions and meat. Once I took the first bite I thought "OMG this thing is GOOD!" Had to recommend it to my friends who are from Philly. A small establishment that can be overlooked, but don't drive past it! Man I freaking love their subs. Skip Publix, go here. My favorite is the Pastrami with horsey sauce and spicy peppers. I add a lot of other fixings but it's great every time. So filling and they have a great selection of kettle cooked chips, which in my opinion, pair perfectly with this delicious sub. Always order in advance online if you can bcuz it's a popular local spot and there's always a wait. No seating inside but there's a few tables outside so you don't have to look far. read more

Placed a huge order with coworkers for lunch; the lady who took my order over the phone was really courteous and made sure the orders taken were accurate. You can tell they were busy because it took several minutes for them to put my order items together to take, but there were 8 people running like a well oiled machine! (Thank you for having 2 doors to enter and leave.) I love that the ingredients they use are visible in the front refrigerator case, so you know they're fresh and not bs-ed. I got a chicken and bacon hot sub and was delighted they have the option of putting grilled green peppers on vs. raw ones! (Small delight, I know.) Also, spicy mayo as a condiment option is gold. Employees are a bunch of high schoolers which is great but not when they are gossiping about customers right in front of you and playing around with each other. One of the best philly cheesesteaks I've had in my life! They are always friendly, ingredients are fresh, and the wait is not too long. I've had chicken philly and the meat one. I prefer the meat one with onions, always grilled to perfection! Also, the cookies are delicious too! Now, the place sure is SMALL. Standing room only and they have a few tables outside. Only ok. I saw the crazy line and the Wife wanted to go hear baddddd as she is a sandwich head! I wasn't impressed. I didn't eat it all and would more than likely not go back. The bread was ok, same for the Turkey and the fixings, nothing spectacular. However, I respect the brand and the reason there was a line, so no disrespect. First off, I've been coming here since the late 80s. The food & service is still good, but it's obvious the owners have given up on maintenance & simple cleaning. Today I almost walked out, this place is filthy from the floor to the ceiling. (Wanted a birch beer but seeing the filth made me think of the soda machine cleanliness)No way this place could pass an inspection, no way! This place was recomended to me by co-workers and I must say they were right on the recommendation. They make really good subs here. Being my first time there I asked the handsome blue eye guy behind the counter for advice. He suggested the hot stake sub with cheese and jalapenos. So I ordered the sub with but without the jalapenos. I loved my sub and the toasted bread. I thought it was perfect, great taste, cooked well, reasoned perfectly. The staff was helpful and friendly. Service was fast. They have a big variety of chips. They also carry cream soda which is one of my favorite drink and hard to find. I liked this place. While this is a 1 of a kind type of place (not a chain) they should still be nice to the people providing them business. I guess when the food is that good you don't have to? I don't know, because they are always packed. The first time I came here they were friendly and helpful. The second time around not so much. The place is the size of a shoe box and can appear intimidating at first. There is no "order here" "pick up here" it's all done at the same deli counter. I feel like the quality of my sub was also not so great the second time around. I got turkey both times but it appears that they are more known for their hot subs. Maybe next time I will get a philly. I tried to get some chips but saw they were expired. When I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter he went to look for himself and tried to hand me a bag from all the way in the back filled with dust. When I politely declined and said I would just take a different flavor he seemed annoyed and not appreciative of the simple info I gave him that his chips are expired. Came here cause we wanted sandwiches for lunch. The place is small and no inside seating, there is no room for them but it has a nice outside seating area just outside. A nice young lady took our order, she was friendly and as she was making our sandwiches, she was asking what we wanted in them. We ordered a hot chicken and bacon sandwich with sweet onion dressing that was good and a original mixed that was very good. COVID-19 Update: I just wanted to thank all of the employees for being there during this crazy time and doing such a wonderful job. It is very nice to walk inside (3 customer max) and see everyone wearing masks and changing gloves often. I know some people are scared to go out to eat but I have to say that I was impressed and you don't have to be scared to come here! They even had hand sanitizer inside for the customers to use and if you spend over $40 you get two free rolls of toilet paper. Bonus! Keep it up! read more

I went this Saturday after work to try it out it is now Thursday and I have been back 3 times since then. The food is great chipotle mayo and vinegar house sauce are delicious on the Philly and chicken bacon. I drove 30 minutes to come here for a philly cheese steak sandwich. The grill was on they were cooking the same sandwich for other people that were there but told me they don't cook anymore phillys or anything on the grill after 7:30PM. I asked if they would make exception as I just drove 30 mins to get there and they said no. Their hours state they're open till 8PM. Nowhere does it say they stop making phillys (the sandwich they're most known for) at 7:30. Hours should be updated. I've been coming here for over 20 years.
