Situated opposite the Bolton St DIT, Dublin City Comics has a nice, not overly-stocked ground floor shop area, with comics, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, models, t-shirts and so on. The comics are sold at dollar prices so this can be a good savings on the prices you'll pay in other comic outlets. Downstairs is a large room with a flatscreen TV, an area for assembling models. comfy sofas, a computer, and inexplicably, a baby pen complete with multicoloured balls. Christy and Doc, the owners, intend to turn this into a GeekEasy, a nerdclub for movie watching and so on which will have a membership fee (to be confirmed) as five euro to start, then ten euro a month. So, more than your average neighbourhood comic shop! I'll be back.
