This place is a staple in Abington! A great local spot to grab an ENORMOUS sub! The best thing about this place is that it hasn't changed, it's still the familiar sub shop my parents used to order from once a week when I was little. My only issue is that if you're looking for a place with a sunny, cheerful, happy employee to make your sub in the evening.....go somewhere else. During the day you will get an older woman who is an EXPERT at service and knows how to make an awesome sub. A wonderful person who makes you feel like your moms making you your lunch again. However, if you plan on getting a sub in the evening you will get the same sub but don't expect the same level of service. Most of the time you will get a millennial with some serious attitude. Your sub will be excellent either way but you'll feel like you're inconveniencing them. On occasion you'll get an efficient friendly college aged kid who has worked there since high school and knows that with a good attitude you'll get better tips. All service issues aside, you will get a great sub at a great price. Definitely worth trying if you're passing through or if you want some nostalgia when you come back home! read more

Called my normal sub shop they just ran out of roast beef (yes its that good read my other reviews for location) So I ordered 2 large subs both roast beef one with cheese one with pickles. This was by far the worse sub I have ever had!!!!! You could put a strip of poo on a old sub roll and it would taste better. The roast beef was white yes f n white way over cooked and as dry as desert sand. The lady must of put two pounds of pickles over the 3 slices of what they call roast beef. I just gave the meat to my dog he looked at it and walked away and he eats some nasty stuff. I pray I dont get the bazooka shits from this. The thanksgiving sandwich tasted like bad deli turkey meat, it was so so chewy. The Italian sub tasted like expired meat as well.

This has been my families go to sub shop for 40+ years. So very sad it's no longer the best sub. The last 5 Times we've ordered oil and spices on our subs they are bone dry and zero spices. Tonight one of our subs literally had blue dye like streaks on the ham and again no oil or spices on three subs. I called and the women who answered the phone said perhaps I need to ask for extra oil and spices. Nope nothing bone dry. After further thought I called to ask for a refund given 3 out of our 4 subs were thrown out. I Was asked which sub we ate and received a partial refund. I shared I thought it was terrible they didn't simply refund me in full. I was Placed on hold forever and the girl said she was waiting for an answer if they wanted me to return the subs and questioned me if we ate them. I told her I would bring my garbage bag to them if they wanted proof and then I hung up! $29 for garbage! NEVER AGAIN! read more

Don't waste your money at this dump. Ordered 5 subs for the family. First mistake, they were out of large sub rolls. No worries, we'll take smalls. All of the subs were horrible tasting of rancid onion. Got a sausage special, all peppers & nasty raw onions and about 3 little ultra nuked pieces of dry italian sausage. $30+ down the drain. Got a large Italian sub that was more like medium sub roll with mayo and bunch of onion and pickles with few tomato, no lettuce and little meat. Definitely not worth the cost. The Submarine Galley or "Sub Galley" is great! Their subs are delicious, and they are famous for their meatballs which you can order to go for your dinners at home! I loved their meatballs, which taste (and are!) homemade, which makes all the difference in a meatball sub! The staff is friendly, and they make the subs in a flash, which is convenient if you walk in without ordering ahead of time. My favorite local sub shop. You can have SubWay and Deanjellos give me Sub Galley. A funky little place staffed by locals. Subs are fresh and ingredients often lovingly home made. My favorite Italian Cold Cut sub can be found here (please don't tell the wife I even mentioned it.) Meat Balls and sauce are unbeatable. They put so many pickles and onions on their cold subs that you need a fork to scoop them up. read more

I love their Italian subs. The ingredients are fresh. Other places seem to always have old onions, wilted lettuce, and really dry rolls. My husband loves their hot pastrami. The atmosphere is simple and could be updated, but this seems to be more of a to go place anyway. read more

ALWAYS OUT OF BREAD. The last 2 times we went there, in a row, they have been out of bread. ALL bread, not just one size. I don't care what the reasoning is, that is ridiculous when one of the only things you serve are sandwiches/subs. read more

This place has gone down hill! Idk who makes the subs but wow. I been in the past and the prices are amazing here for subs. It don't cost $10 for a large sub but recently it's not even worth the $6 etc. I ordered my kids a plain ham and cheese sub and there was LEGIT one slice of ham and cheese on each side of the cut roll, another sub was a ham and cheese with pickles and again one slice each of ham and cheese then it was PILED AND STUFFED with pickles. Then the tuna sub had maybe 3-4 spoonfuls on the roll so there was all bread in these subs. It was awful! I put more than one slice each on my own sandwiches at home I'd atleast expect a sub place to do this too! Last two times I just felt I paid for a sub roll more than anything. Or fillers like lettuce and pickles because each times there's one to two slices of meat and cheese. Subway puts more deli meat on their trash subs. I would highly suggest they need to train whoever is making the subs they are supposed to put more than a single slice on each sub or something. read more

Went here on lunch break yesterday. Never been before but drive by ALL the time. The place is a slight bit tacky but it matters not. Since I've never been i asked the woman behind the counter for a recommendation. She recommended the Italian as their biggest seller. So I got the Italian with the works. Man, the thing was a beast in size and it tasted great. Only thing I'd recommend is to integrate the toppings between everything in the sub instead of just putting everything on top. Last night I ordered from Sub Galley. I was so impressed by the young man and young woman behind the counter. They were the most polite and respectful people that have ever waited on me. Even though the grill was broken, they cooked everything on the stove and actually helped each other out. The sandwiches were delicious too, especially the pickles! I'll be back soon! Ordered two (Large Steak, Cheese, and onion subs) Friday night. Went to pick up order, and the change received was incorrect, had to instruct associate how much I should get back. Left the establishment and found out that my order contained one large sub and one very small sub. Called to complain and left name and number for the owner/manager to contact me. Never heard back. It was not busy when I arrived for my order, not sure it was earlier. Bottom line very NOT pleased and will not be a customer anylonger going forward. read more
