Lol ) also from my parents, some great late sixties and early seventies music, and my sister(past) more late seventies and early eighties music. And sone recently gifted music from a sweet redhead. They informed me that, bringing in some of the rarities I've collected, they can help, evaluate it's worth. Lots of fun, reminiscing about the record stores of the seventies and eighties. Dedicated to real punk. Did not have some mainstream bands but overall great curation of items and vinyls/CDs. They also have decor, old posters or signs from different shows, some T-shirts, DVDs, cassettes and even VHS. My brother loved this shop. He's a curator and big fan of vinyls and punk/pop/punk/metal and he really enjoyed this store. Super friendly and knowledgeable associates at the store as well. Like every indie vinyl shop, there's always treasure to be had. Enjoyed seeing the various world titles, variety of nostalgic bric-a-brac, vinyl for every price range, plus really friendly upbeat staff. I ended up with two records from Donna Summer and Rick James. Not a popular genre for some, but I love disco! And who didn't dig such a catchy tune, Super Freak?! It was such a score and ended up being quite the economical purchase versus the mocha I drank afterwards.

This store is massive and is in a warehouse style building. The selections for vinyl records are is extensive with a mix of both used and new. I ended up picking a few vinyls during my hour of exploring through their racks. I was excited to finally acquire Santana and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pricing was on the higher end. There were a few vinyls that were priced lower from other online retailers. I also explored their dvds and books section. They offer both used and new copies. Service was excellent. The staff assisting me provided some great information on their rewards program. Customers can accrue a rebate of 5% in the form of points on any purchases. The points can then be used to purchase any item in store or website. Lastly, there are both street and private lot parking available.

We were only in Seattle for a day, so i needed to find a place that was close to our hotel that would represent the Seattle music heritage and scene well since i was only going to be able to visit one, and Holy Cow Records did the job very well!!
