Overall this store has a very large inventory of CDs and DVD. I'm not a vinyl user but it seems SoDo location has quite a bit more vinyl than Bellevue. Staff here are knowledgeable and courteous. All Silver Platter locations are great stores.

This store is massive and is in a warehouse style building. The selections for vinyl records are is extensive with a mix of both used and new. I ended up picking a few vinyls during my hour of exploring through their racks. I was excited to finally acquire Santana and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pricing was on the higher end. There were a few vinyls that were priced lower from other online retailers. I also explored their dvds and books section. They offer both used and new copies. Service was excellent. The staff assisting me provided some great information on their rewards program. Customers can accrue a rebate of 5% in the form of points on any purchases. The points can then be used to purchase any item in store or website. Lastly, there are both street and private lot parking available.

Regardless I still identify great pre owned and new finds when I come in. The staff is pretty knowledgeable on my inane questions (do you have that song that goes "do doo DOO"?" and also just in general on what they have out on the floor considering they do used sales. After coming here a few times after the move from lower queen anne. I am confident Silver Platters will always be a place I come to for more movies and music.

CDs are organized by genre etc. Staff is friendly and even asked if I needed help finding anything last visit and the team member was able to help me find my CD in less than 10 seconds! All CDs I have bought here look practically brand new with no scratches all at a good price which is awesome. Love the location with a free parking lot, close to the bus lines, and right next to Dick's Burgers. I like to stop here after grabbing some food from Dick's and sipping on my chocolate shake while I sift through everything. I recommend and I will definitely return!

There's a huge selection of old vinyls, cassettes, CD's, and movies and categorically organized by genres. All the vinyls are meticulously graded as well, which I appreciated as not every record store will take the time to do this. Fun place to go digging for old classics. The person behind the counter was friendly and didn't make us check bags or give us a hassle about carrying a sealed bottle of water. It's pretty standard to check your bags in some Seattle establishments (especially museums or other high traffic area!), so not sure why there are complaints for that here.

I had revisited Chocolat Vitale after a long hiatus. I finally had the opportunity to explore the eclectic vinyl collection from Stumbletown Records (12/2/23 and 12/24/23). I ended up buying vinyl for me and The Homie ranging from Frank Sinatra, Japanese soundtrack import, Ravi Shankar, Ten Commandments movie soundtrack, and Russian orchestra/composers. I enjoyed seeing the film reels, 45s, cassettes, foreign film posters also available for purchase. This is one of those indie record shops where one it elicits the excitement of a potential treasure trove. Detour and take the time to check out, not one but two, indie retailers.

Lol ) also from my parents, some great late sixties and early seventies music, and my sister(past) more late seventies and early eighties music. And sone recently gifted music from a sweet redhead. They informed me that, bringing in some of the rarities I've collected, they can help, evaluate it's worth. Lots of fun, reminiscing about the record stores of the seventies and eighties. Great prices, all vinyl I checked were clean and in VG++ to EX condition. Found two great finds for a very great price!! The owner (I assumed at the counter) was very polite and knowledgeable about music. I highly recommend this small store, especially if you are looking for classic rock vinyl.

My only complaint is they literally never ever answer their phone. I called for three days before finally just driving the hour to the store. I would come again but its really frustrating when i just wanted to ask a question about a particular record player I saw there before and they wont answer the phone which could have saved me hours of driving.​
