Always love SubStation II, but it seems lately the quantity of meat has really gone down. Still good quality meat and freshly sliced, but a third of the amount that you would get any competitor in the area. Outside of that, really enjoy this place!

These subs are bomb! I was told this place was really good and I had to find out for myself. Great, friendly customer service! I ALWAYS go for the Italian at any sub shop even if I feel like I want something else, but this time I did it and dived into a different sub. I ordered the Ham, Turkey and Cheese on white bread with bacon, lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar and mayo. Let me get started on this, their foot longs are huge! I couldn't even finish my 2nd half and which I normally can. The bacon is not that microwavable meat that looks sad and pathetic, it's real bacon with a crunch and thick. That gave the sub a nice texture and perfect amount of salt that didn't over power the taste. You get a pickle spear, yum! I love this place, try it out!

This might be a bit of a homer review. I've been going to this particular Sub Station II since I was in elementary school. When my family moved to Virginia for a few years, I would stop by here to get a sandwich whenever we came back to visit family. I love Sub Station II. I'm not sure I can give a fair review here, I only order the #19 Super Special, now just a Super Special since they've dropped the numbers from their menu. Basically its an Italian: ham, Genoa salami, zippy pepperoni, turkey breast, bologna, and a hot ham (commonly called cappicola). I always get my #19 "All the Way", by definition this should include Crushed Red Pepper; however, they will still ask you if you want Crushed Red Pepper. By the way, you do. Totally your call, but I also ask for mine on un-toasted bread as this is how it was served when I was a kid. If you're a local, you are most likely already familiar with this little gem.

SS2 is my go-to sandwich joint! Not many sub shops cut their deli meats and cheeses fresh, but these guys do. The #19 Super Special is my usual, but they're all consistently fresh. However, this is not the kind of place you go to for decor and atmosphere. It's unashamedly old school and I'm okay with that. And you should be too.

Always have had the best subs in town, no complaints. This has always been my favorite sub station. Love that it's never changed location.

Tucked away off of the busy wade Hampton blvd, this little pizza joint doesn't scream "five…read morestars"... but it does whisper "surprisingly amazing crust and screaming good sauce" . They don't have fancy lighting, artisanal menus, or a wood-fired oven blessed by monks--just good, weirdly addictive pizza made with love. Besides the pizza can be found their hand-rolled, golden-fried, and just barely containing their molten cheesy soul, Mozzarella Sticks. Some would say they aren't just a snack--but an experience. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and probably capable of fixing most emotional problems when dipped in their fresh marinara. Ah the Vino! their wine list--curated with all the enthusiasm of someone five minutes before closing. You won't find rare vintages or poetic tasting notes here. Just a modest selection of the usual suspects: one red, one white, one that's "probably fine, it keeps it simple. Maybe too simple. But hey, it gets the job done. Cheers!

Karly was our server extraordinaire! There were 8 of us including two children. So first we ordered drinks and some salads. There was a little mishap where one of my grandsons knocked over a large drink lol! She helped clean it up and even though he was crying, she told him it was ok! A few of us had salads. I had a small Greek which was delicious and loaded with feta. My daughter had the Caesar which was excellent, and another had the chef. We got two large warm loaves of Italian bread and butter that came with our orders of mussels with white wine and garlic sauce. Really very good and loaded with fresh garlic. The boys had half pizzas and fries which was a great meal for kids. There were two large pizzas with plenty left to take home! The crust was thin and crispy and they were loaded with veggies and cheese. What a wonderful dinner for our family!

Hubby went with the sausage and egg sandwich, layered with caramelized onions and aioli on a perfectly grilled brioche bun, added with crispy fried potatoes. I could tell by his smile and patting of the foot that it was comforting, hearty, and executed just right I indulged in the chicken pesto, rich with pesto sauce and paired with seasoned fries, which were golden, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. Of course, I couldn't skip the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino, and the brown sugar cinnamon really popped, pulling the depth of the roasted brew straight through. Warm, balanced, and cozy in all the right ways. From breads to pastries, everything here is made from scratch, and you can taste the love folded into every bite. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced, just thoughtful food, made with care. And let's talk atmosphere. SUNFLOWER feels like home. Settled, Welcoming as Friendly drop-ins come and go with ease. The owner's presence adds to the experience without ever announcing itself, no "Hey, I own this place" energy. Just a calm, grounding presence... like a tree gently swaying with the breeze. I read it three times, not because I misunderstood it, but because I wanted to confirm that it listed pets and children in that order, which it did, and that tells you something about the sequence of problems they've encountered on the lawn, though I've decided not to find out what exactly. With that said, the lawn is not exactly a lawn at all, unless you consider granite rocks as a lawn, which the residents of Elberton, Georgia do as it is considered the "Granite Capital of the World." Elberton this is not. This rocky lawn is to be filled with Bichon Frisés and children in ball caps, and on the afternoon I visited it was doing exactly that. There was a dog near the covered bar area moving through the patio with the serenity of an animal who has never once been told that other people exist. His owner stood nearby holding a beer and looking proud, which is a face I recognized, because I have a son and have stood next to him with that exact expression at least twice in public places where I should have known better. I had the Radiant Positivity, a sour ale at 6%, which sounds like something printed above a middle school guidance counselor's desk but turned out to be genuinely good, all grapefruit and a tartness that knew when to stop. I thought about ordering the Kamp Jam, a 4% light lager described as tasting like shared laughter and the unbreakable bonds of friendship, and decided I wasn't there yet. The owners opened this place in 2014 and have expanded it three times since, which tells you something about Greer that it probably already knows about itself but that the rest of the area is still catching up on. Consequentially, Greer itself has also expanded its waistline 3 times since 2014 but that's a discussion for another time. I thought about asking about the Southern Sanctum, an American Tripel, but the afternoon had reached the evening and a point where a Tripel felt like a commitment that deserved more deliberation than I had left in me. I paid my tab, which was reasonable in a way that surprised me given the quality of everything, said goodbye to nobody in particular, and drove home thinking about the Kamp Jam, and whether the unbreakable bonds of friendship were something I'd get to eventually.
