Besides the pizza can be found their hand-rolled, golden-fried, and just barely containing their molten cheesy soul, Mozzarella Sticks. Some would say they aren't just a snack--but an experience. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and probably capable of fixing most emotional problems when dipped in their fresh marinara. We were visiting my daughter's in laws in Travelers Rest for Thanksgiving and we met them at a Passion for Pizza. A really bustling restaurant on the night before Thanksgiving. Karly was our server extraordinaire! There were 8 of us including two children. So first we ordered drinks and some salads. There was a little mishap where one of my grandsons knocked over a large drink lol! She helped clean it up and even though he was crying, she told him it was ok! A few of us had salads. I had a small Greek which was delicious and loaded with feta. My daughter had the Caesar which was excellent, and another had the chef. We got two large warm loaves of Italian bread and butter that came with our orders of mussels with white wine and garlic sauce. Really very good and loaded with fresh garlic. The boys had half pizzas and fries which was a great meal for kids. There were two large pizzas with plenty left to take home! We have been back to Passion for Pizza (Taylors, SC) several times. Let me tell you about the lasagna dinner. My wife and I are at the age where we can split a meal, and this one is an excellent choice for us. During the wait for this made-to-order dish, we were brought a big salad (cold lettuce, slice cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and a generous helping of shredded cheese on top). We easily split that. The lasagna got to our table very fast even during a dinner crowd. The Nana's Homemade Lasagna with Meat Sauce ($19) arrived in a long deep bowl that was steaming hot. Her recipe is so loaded with spicy and chunky meat sauce between layers of pasta planks you'd think they's make a giant pan ahead of time. Nope! Fresh to you. Thick, filling, and loaded with hot, melted cheese overing the whole dish like a blanket of goodness. The dinner is also served with a small sliced loaf of FRESH hot bread and cold butter. There is no comparison between "just bread" and homemade bread. This loaf had a thick crunchy crust and a soft warm center. It was so good, you'll slap away the next time you get a cold, store-bought roll sneering at you from the plate. We also got the garlic knots for $7 as a starter: HOT, soft on the inside, crispy brown on the outside. And swimming in garlic butter. You know my theory on butter: you can't have too much butter, it'll fall off on its own accord if it reaches a so-called maximum. This side is served hot with a nice warm marinara. I kept the almost immediately emptied bowl for the fresh bread I knew was coming. Our waiter, Tim, noted that is a common practice by wise connoisseurs of fine dining. With two Pepsi Zeros out bill came to $31.92 plus tax and tip. read more

We placed a pick up order for a large pepperoni pizza after a day trip to Atlanta for baseball game. We picked up the pizza on our way home, and the restaurant had closed in between us picking up our order and arriving home. When I opened the pizza box, I saw that much of the toppings were severely burned, and the entire bottom of the pizza was black from being overcooked. We have dined at the restaurant a few times over the past year, and have not been disappointed. However, this time we were extremely disappointed, as anyone who looked at this pizza prior to me picking it up should have not allowed it to leave. After a long day of travel, this was a huge disappointment. Lesson learned though - from this point forward, I will always open the box to inspect what is in it. read more

Absolutely 10000/10. They have quickly jumped to my number 1 spot for pizza. FB tells lies, but definitely not this time! Our service was quick and we were checked on multiple times. It's quiet, and small but not small where you feel crowded. I can only imagine a busy night. We stopped in over the weekend for a late lunch and seated immediately. The food was flavorful and fresh. If you want GOOD pizza, this is the place to go. This is our family's favorite place for pizza, garlic knots, spaghetti, lemon pepper chicken wings and lasagna and their fries are great too! Quality ingredients and the crust is so delicious. They do get crowded on weekends and it's a small business so if you have to wait a little bit the food is worth it! The owner is so nice and everyone is hustling to provide great service. This place is incredible! I popped in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. Had cheese sticks, a nice little salad, Alfredo, and tiramisu. Came back a different day for pizza (not pictured). It's definitely my favorite stop for pizza in the Taylors area now. I would pass on The cheese sticks in favor of more room for other things. The manager suggested slightly under cooking so that reheating would make the crust perfect and it was. Best pizza in the upstate. They actually know how to make a proper sauce and crust. They also know how to properly cook it. The sauce isn't sickly sweet like every other place. The crust isn't overly bready. It's thin and crispy. Other places around here undercook their pizza. It seems to be a trend in the south. The pizza here is perfectly done. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This hidden gem in Taylors is a MUST Try! The service was excellent! The food...WOW! We started off with the cheese sticks, mussels in white sauce, garlic knots!! Then finished it off with a large pepperoni and sausage. My entire family enjoyed every bite. Hot, authentic, tasty, not frozen, fresh ingredients and just great all the way around. When we wrote a review on 7/12/2025, we forgot to give it a 5-star rating; therefore, we decided to copy and paste our previous review with the 5-star rating. After 45 mins. of reading reviews for pizza places in the Greer/Taylors area, we decided to dine at Passion for Pizza. If we had any expectations, they were immensely exceeded this evening. The reasons for an exemplary rating are due to many factors. First, Kayla L and Kayla are the epitome of hospitality and genuine friendliness. Even though the restaurant was busy, Kayla L had a cadence that made us feel like we were the only patrons dining. She is truly an awesome representative of this establishment. Kayla L exudes pride of service to others. Thank you, Kayla L. Second, the food was excellent. The homemade pizza dough to homemade delicious sauce/topping ratio was well balanced especially since the dough is hand-tossed to the perfect depth then baked in their stone hearth oven. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her alfredo chicken with their own handmade alfredo sauce and the child's portion was just enough for her to feel full. Third, since this is a family owned and operated business, one truly feels like part of the Passion for Pizza family. The owner walked around to each of the tables and talked with all of us to make sure we were well taken care of. Lastly, due to our first ever experience there, we will continue to dine at Passion for Pizza and will definitely recommend our friends and family to dine there as well. Had a calzone to go for dinner. It was a phone order. The calzone was awsome but they left my black olives off.

We always are looking for a good pizza place anywhere new we visit and this place did not disappoint! First of all, the owner Dennis welcomed our party of 7 in and got us a seat. His recommendations for good food were phenomenal! For starters we had the mozzarella sticks and the coating was so tasty and crunchy and the cheese inside had just the right texture of stretchy and flavor! The garlic knots are full of flavor and not too garlicky and came in a bowl of melted butter, I mean who doesn't like butter! We also had the hot honey garlic wings, mild buffalo wings and Carolina gold wings but the honey garlic ones were our favorites! They had a good bit of crunch to the skin and very flavorful meat! My husband got the pepperoni & sausage pizza and that was also very tasty. Everything we tried was very good and I highly recommend this pizza place! Then Dennis treated our party to their famous banana pudding (which takes 2 days to make) and it was the perfect ending to a very worthwhile trip out for pizza! Also, I should add, our waitress Carly was very good and I hope we made her first night working at Passion for Pizza a good one with her $100 tip! I should add the place was clean and very welcoming and all the workers, cooks included made us feel very welcome! Please give this place a try! First visit today. Didn't know the place existed until we received an advertisement (with a 15% discount) in the mail today. Not far from our home ... convenience is important for us. We had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and the Italian Sandwich (French fries include). I always eat the fries first because they are crispy; these fries were the right size and had the tastiness and crispiness I enjoy. Rare nowadays for fries. The sandwich portions were huge. The beef was very delicious on the Philly. the Italian sandwich was a "monster." The cabernet sauvignon was delicious (the wine glass was a bit small and did not permit oxygenation of the wine, but no big deal). The owner/manager and his wait staff went above and beyond to ensure we were pleased ... we were! A must-eat place in the Taylors/Greer area. Probably one of the better Italian places in the area. Huge menu selection ... there are more items for us to try. They have mussels! We will be back soon! read more
