But these guys do make a BIG swing and a BIG hit. First off, customer service. Justin waited on me and asked right away if I was a first-timer, which I was, and at the end of a quest to arrive here. And so he gave me the layout in the menu, the NJ flown in Liscio's bread, and the Cooper American cheese and shaved sliced beef. It's the real deal and it does travel well, at least for 3-4 miles back home. It's a 10 inch sub, there are many options. I went classic. But check the pics of menu items (the Mort looks great, Mortadella coma?!) But the classic will fill. And it is tasty. Simple, authentic, tasty. That's why we are here. And the friendly customer guidance, beyond any expectations, when anyone is at the counter, they are recognized if regulars, acknowledged if first timers and the center of the universe for the counter man, (in this case, Justin). And, a couple of Dum-Dum lollipop treats for the wife who abstained for today. The sandwich was a hit. It's a bit expensive, but I understand we just beat a line out the door crowd at 11:15, so plan accordingly. I'll be back. Must try other items too. Beer and soda available. Worth the trip if authenticity is your bag, baby, if not, there's always Jersey Mikes, but support local, man! Get with the Harry's groovy and tasty vibe.

Besides that- it's a great spot to hang during the daytime, great for kids to play and have a beer with a snack. I do wish they had better kids options, my kids aren't big fans of fried foods-- so maybe something with rice instead of fries, or Mac and cheese dish, etc. Overall fun decor a will be back but the few times we've gone my kids say they're hungry as soon as we leave. The Reuben is good though!

There is also indoor eating in this spot that was converted from a house a few ago. You order at the cash register, get a number and then they bring the food to your table. The cashier was upbeat and excited about the food they serve. First time at this spot. Not too busy, but it was Thursday night and it's out of the way. Cashier gave recommendations, but I went rogue and got the Falafel Pita sandwich with a side salad and really enjoyed that. Really nice flavor combinations and filling. The sandwich comes with roasted peppers, heirloom tomatoes, artisan lettuce, beet hummus (surprising good), and refreshing alfalfa sprouts that seem to work for this sandwich. The dressing is super zingy, be sure you like lemon (I do) as that's really pronounced in that dressing. The sandwich is rich so I definitely recommend getting the salad with that one. My spouse got the Sandwich special: Burrata Sandwich (Ciabatta roll, burrata, steak, peppers, onions) with fries. The fries were plentiful and warm but not blazing hot. There's a self-serve soda station, condiment station, and paper to-go boxes. This spot would meet the bill if you are looking for a sandwich / salad spot for an intimate date night or fun time with friends.

My wife and I are at the age where we can split a meal, and this one is an excellent choice for us. During the wait for this made-to-order dish, we were brought a big salad (cold lettuce, slice cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and a generous helping of shredded cheese on top). We easily split that. The lasagna got to our table very fast even during a dinner crowd. The Nana's Homemade Lasagna with Meat Sauce ($19) arrived in a long deep bowl that was steaming hot. Her recipe is so loaded with spicy and chunky meat sauce between layers of pasta planks you'd think they's make a giant pan ahead of time. Nope! Fresh to you. Thick, filling, and loaded with hot, melted cheese overing the whole dish like a blanket of goodness. The dinner is also served with a small sliced loaf of FRESH hot bread and cold butter. There is no comparison between "just bread" and homemade bread. This loaf had a thick crunchy crust and a soft warm center. It was so good, you'll slap away the next time you get a cold, store-bought roll sneering at you from the plate. We also got the garlic knots for $7 as a starter: HOT, soft on the inside, crispy brown on the outside. And swimming in garlic butter. You know my theory on butter: you can't have too much butter, it'll fall off on its own accord if it reaches a so-called maximum. This side is served hot with a nice warm marinara. I kept the almost immediately emptied bowl for the fresh bread I knew was coming. Our waiter, Tim, noted that is a common practice by wise connoisseurs of fine dining. With two Pepsi Zeros out bill came to $31.92 plus tax and tip.

Karly was our server extraordinaire! There were 8 of us including two children. So first we ordered drinks and some salads. There was a little mishap where one of my grandsons knocked over a large drink lol! She helped clean it up and even though he was crying, she told him it was ok! A few of us had salads. I had a small Greek which was delicious and loaded with feta. My daughter had the Caesar which was excellent, and another had the chef. We got two large warm loaves of Italian bread and butter that came with our orders of mussels with white wine and garlic sauce. Really very good and loaded with fresh garlic. The boys had half pizzas and fries which was a great meal for kids. There were two large pizzas with plenty left to take home! The crust was thin and crispy and they were loaded with veggies and cheese. What a wonderful dinner for our family!

Hubby went with the sausage and egg sandwich, layered with caramelized onions and aioli on a perfectly grilled brioche bun, added with crispy fried potatoes. I could tell by his smile and patting of the foot that it was comforting, hearty, and executed just right I indulged in the chicken pesto, rich with pesto sauce and paired with seasoned fries, which were golden, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. Of course, I couldn't skip the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino, and the brown sugar cinnamon really popped, pulling the depth of the roasted brew straight through. Warm, balanced, and cozy in all the right ways. From breads to pastries, everything here is made from scratch, and you can taste the love folded into every bite. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced, just thoughtful food, made with care. And let's talk atmosphere. SUNFLOWER feels like home. Settled, Welcoming as Friendly drop-ins come and go with ease.
