Unfortunately I have to give a low rating mostly because of their return policy. After buying a clutch kit, that did not work for my car, they refused to take it back. Had to take the car to a mechanic and after the mechanic tried to get it installed and working they informed me that something is not right. The clutch would not disengage. After explaining to Subispeed Customer support they refused to take it bac stating that it had been installed, even though it couldn't be used. After getting a Factory clutch kit for my car and having that installed I contacted them to see about getting my money back. After I was informed they would not take it back, they told me that I should just resell it myself, and that I shouldn't have much trouble reselling the part due to the popularity of the platform the clutch is for. Their site is good for finding compatible parts for your car, but I would suggest buying from the manufacturer as they seem to care more about taking care of their customers than SubiSpeed does. read more

I have never left a review for any reason. With any company. I buy thousands of parts offline. For me and my company. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I ordered a roof rack from them. The sent the wrong parts to install it. After countless emails and pictures and videos. Yes they made me make a video because they accused me of lieing and not knowing how to install the product. Haha i have been a tech for 15 years. Anyway. Went threw all this and finally after 2 months I got my rack installed. By the way i have made countless reviews on there website and they will not post it. So dont ne fooled. SubiSpeed is a vendor of OEM and aftermarket high performance auto parts for Subaru. They have a very good parts selection for those looking to enhance the their vehicles appearance and performance. Many of their parts are unique and hard to find. Their site is easy to navigate and the overall shopping experience is good. They also have one of the best how to installation video databases on the web. Want to see how something works, how to install it or how it sounds, they probably have a video showing you. This is especially helpful when comparing like products before making a purchase decision. They lose a few stars for the following. Prices are good, but I can often find the same items at lower prices elsewhere. This is a complaint from many Subaru owners on several forums. Shipping times are inconsistent and barely acceptable. You often wait 1-3 days for your order to be processed and shipped after placing your order. Further 'in stock" items should ship at the same time. Two of the items in my order stated "in stock" and "ships from factory". I received one item, but not the other. This doesn't make sense. It's either in stock or drop shipping, and in both cases, I should receive tracking info for all items in my order. I've emailed their CS as you are told the preferred method of contact is email when you call them. It's a smaller operation and considering its size and number of staff, they do ok. I think they care about their customers and are doing their best to earn your business. I'll update my review based on their response to my inquiry. *** Received an email back from their CS regarding my order. Oh, whoops, it was in stock when you placed your order, but then we didn't have it. This is not acceptable. It was listed as "In Stock". If it wasn't, then it should ship from the factory. Instead, I was told we should get those in 2-3 weeks... Why can't it ship from the factory/manufacturer? You don't get it both ways SubiSpeed. Either its not in stock and say so, or drop ship it. I am writing today because I am absolutely shocked by subispeed. I bought a sparco f200 seat through subispeed and upon receiving noticed I had the wrong seat all due to my own ignorance. I accepted my mistake and packed the brand new seat back in its packaging and shipping it for a return. Shipping alone costed approximately $300.00. 4 days after subispeed receives my package I receive an email stating that my seat was damaged and I will not receive my refund. They send me 2 photo of my "seat" Showing the damage. Little do I figure out that it isn't even my seat. They send me another seat trying to put it off as my seat. Luckily I took a photo prior to putting it back in the box and thank god I has this photo. I will never order from subispeed again. After informing me it was my issue to deal with ups. I am still waiting for a phone call after insisting they call me to figure out what my package looked like on arrival. Here are the photos you be the judge. The first one is my seat they second is the seat they said is mine damaged. That is not my seat. Beware guys. UPDATE: They asked me for a photo of my seat. Told them to figure out which one I bought. Horrible customer service. I was told 3-5 business days for my refund on an order I placed over 3 months prior! I was also never told the item wasn't in stock. I had to ask once the rest of my order shipped why one item didn't. They responded saying they didn't know when they'd get more, maybe "4-6 weeks." I then waited 3 months and heard nothing. It took over 3 weeks for a refund from them when I asked for it. They're quick to respond when you want to buy something but if you want your money back be prepared to wait. read more

They have great original products, good prices and a great youtube channel (Ft86speedfactory is the one I watch), but their shipping process and their customer service are lukewarm at best. Both times I've ordered they've taken forever to ship, however payment was instant. Try to cancel and they charge 6% to 25% because "We believe this is fair since you clicked on the order button and typed your information in and we have to pay the staff to process these cancellations" - From their website. Really? I would think they get paid by the hour and not by how much product they push out, otherwise there wouldn't be so many reviews on bad shipping experiences. You can expect the same smug response from their customer service reps. I emailed them twice and received little helpful information and very little friendliness that definitely did not answer my questions, especially after the 2 day wait for said replies. The forums have great reviews on this place, which is unfortunate because it's the first thing you see when you search up subispeed/ft86speedfactory reviews. Digging deeper, especially here on Yelp, you'll start to see issues. Ordered a set of wheels for my sti that their site said was in stock ok only to find out days later after emailing them that they in fact were not in stock. Got a refund and then ordered a completely different set of rims and surprise surprise, same issue. Filed a complaint with the bbb. They charge you immediately for an order without a guarantee the item is even in stock, tying up your money until you email and complain about the state of your order. Not sure where to start. I thought the experience was great. I ordered a fog light kit with an upgraded option for the JDM bezel along with a bunch of other items. After much headache I originally thought they just forgot to ship me the actual fog lights which they did end up shipping me. However, they forgot to include the OEM/OLM wiring harness and switch and even the OLM bezel. Not that I cared because I actually upgraded the bezel to the JDM one. I sent an email and notified support and it has been over their 48 hour response. So now I am frustrated and out of probably 30-60 bucks worth of wiring where I think now I'd have to custom order from somewhere. I though I could shop here again, unfortunately I don't think I can anymore. I will be switching to subibros. read more

Don't waste your time with this company, their "Subispeed" products are generally defective. Had to send bezels back because LEDS failed. Received poorly painted items, emblems that don't fit, and broken products. My most recent experience is a tail light that was already replaced because LEDS failed. 15 months later the replacement is also having LED issues and they won't even think about replacing it because they don't apply warranty to replacement items and the fact it's 3 months past the 12 month warranty they give for products. Slow shipping, customer service is a joke, just find a different site and come back and give me a thumbs up for saving you time and hassle. read more

Purchased the blox axel back exhaust through Subispeed, and installed it about a week later. As soon as I installed the blox axle back, I realized the mounting point weren't aligned correctly. I loosened all the bolts and tried everything to get the tips aligned with no luck. The right exhaust tip presses against the diffuser, and the left exhaust tip hangs low. I also purchased an aftermarket mid pipe and made sure that wasn't the issue. I installed the factory mid pipe and had the same results. I then used the aftermarket mid pipe with the factory mufflers, and the alignment was perfect. I contacted Subispeed and told them what was going on. I mentioned the 30 day window but they insisted on contacting the manufacturer for further guidance. I get an email a few weeks later stating that they are unable to contact the manufacturer, and that I should try to get a hold of them. Now I'm outside the return window and they ignored my last email. This is unacceptable business practice, and I won't be doing business with them in the future. read more

I've used their services many times and have always been satisfied with their products. I had heard about a friend's poor experience and read about their abysmal customer service on forums like IWSTI, NASIOC, and ClubWRX but had never experienced it first hand until recently. Several days ago received an email inquiry from their customer service representative about a product review I left several months ago. Initially I was very surprised because I thought perhaps the complaints on the forums were overstated or misplaced. Frankly, I was wrong. What initially started out as a politie inquiry turned into him belittling me and trying to prove me wrong. I ordered wheels back in March and was wondering why it was taking so long to ship, so i contacted customer service, and Casey emailed me back the next day saying they ship from the factory and will be available to ship in May. I understood and waited till May. May hit, and emailed customer service when they will ship, Casey contacted me again and said he will email them and figure when they will be able to ship. The next day, he emailed back saying they're still being made and another 90-120 days minimum. I was very frustrated that I took my business elsewhere and refunded the money. Horrible company. Ordered a license plate relocation kit for a 2020 Subaru STI. When it arrived it was missing the tow hook adapter. I contacted customer supoort and they claim i had purchased the wrong product and said the one i purchased was for "front intercooler mount". Location of the intercooler does not affect the placement in any way possible when its suppose to be on the tow hitch. They want me to pay for shipping for a return and import fees. At this point im spending more than im getting back. Terrible customer service when the problem is on their end. They will not help you! read more

I've ordered from subispeed several times.. this place is garbage and they have parts that are "in stock" but you have to contact them to find out it's back ordered. No email no communication. My last purchase with them is definitely my last. Bought something as simple as the side overlays for the sti wing.. they were so soft when the got here the backing stuck to the overlay and were super thin. I tried to install anyways and all they did was wrinkle. Unfortunately they can't even replace a $20 part cause I tried to install.. I mean what are you going to do with defective cheap stickers if I send them back? Send them to another customer? seems like subispeed has taken a huge nose dive for the worst today after 3 1/2 months of waiting on broken promises from their customer service I decided to speak out. I buy car parts in quantities, thousands of dollars worth of parts, and when you order something and it states it "ships from factory" or 3-6 weeks back order, i expect my product in say a month 2 tops right? Not with these guys you buy their stuff, pay for a markup and half and dont see any thing for almost 4 months. 5 emails a month and every month you hear the same thing from Bryan @subispeed "we should hear from the factory in the next 2-3 weeks" I've heard that 3 times already make things right, spend your money and get me what I ordered if your supplier doesn't carry it, burnz auto carries a few different versions. Well here it comes, I had purchased a few items from SubiSpeed over the past few years as I have had 4 Subaru's, and am very involved in the Subaru aftermarket and modification scene. One of my purchases was for OLM MOAB MULTICOLOR LED LOW BEAM LIGHT BULB, at first I was impressed with the bulbs, I had converted my 2016 WRX into all LED. After about 2 months, one of the headlights started to give me issues, it would not work unless you opened the hood, and tapped the wires. I contacted SubiSpeed immediately, and they asked for a photo of the issue, which i found odd, cause it would just be a photo of the light not on, which could be accomplished by just unplugging the light. Either way, customer service requested the picture, as life happens I was incredibly busy and put it off, but the light started to work more consistently, so i was not overly concerned with the exchange at the point. After about 9 months of a handful of times it shuts off, it started to happen almost all the time. But at the moment I was traveling covering Red Bull GRC, so I put it off for a few weeks, finally I contacted SubiSpeed and they explained it was out of warranty, and would not replace the item. I explained my situation, and they offered me an exchange. It was looking good, at this point, i was thinking great customer service, and they stood by their products, but that's when it all changed. then when I got the bulb, it was completely different. The color was much brighter, and the bulb looked completely different. I contacted customer service again and explained that I think they sent me the wrong bulb, which they stated they didn't and that from the pictures i sent, you could not see a difference, although to my eye and others it's about 50% brighter. Basically thinking I was trying to get free bulbs out of the deal, they stated they would not exchange the wrong bulb, but would offer me to purchase a single bulb to match. I then contacted several times to setup a way to purchase this bulb without a single response. I am not overall unhappy with SubiSpeed, but this review reflects how I perceive their customer service. Which is mediocre at best in my opinion. As a loyal Subaru enthusiast and brand promoter, you would think SubiSpeed would want to make their customers happy, this doesn't mean giving them the world. But treating them with respect, and taking what they say as the truth would be appreciated it. I didn't like being told essentially that i was seeing things, and the lights were the same, when they clearly were not, and I also don't think their replacement was at all adequate for the problems the bulb was having. I ended up just throwing the bulbs away, and purchasing bulbs on amazon, where they treat their customers like gold. I guess thats the route i will take from now on. read more

I received 2 of the 4. Then a couple weeks passes. I followed up with them and then their sales rep tells me my order is back ordered and I won't receive it until 30 Oct. I just wanted to let everyone know what they are dealing with, my son purchased a set of tail lights and less than 2 weeks after receiving them we started noticing moisture inside the tail lights. We tried for a few months to reach out to them and got no where. Finally my wife decided to attempt to reach them via email. Finally we got a response from a guy named Woo, it which at that point we were instructed to send multiple pictures, in doing so he continued to request additional information (when they were brand new and should have done the right thing by exchanging them out) after several failed attempts in getting this resolved, we ended up getting an email from them telling us they are going to send freshness packages to stick up in the seal of the tail lights to try pulling out the moisture.... lol what a joke. At this point they are giving us no other options to rectify the situation. Keep in mind that in one of there emails it goes on to say that they are aware of these tail lights doing this and have no control over and pointing the finger at the manufacture. ( shouldn't be doing business with them if this is the case in my opinion) So unfair that you spend this kind of money and this is the results you get. This is probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had in ordering through a vendor online. Took over a month to ALL get my items. On the first batch of items came in I had a defective product. They also sent me duplicates of the same item and not the item I originally purchased. This was a shipping error on their part and I didn't even get so much as an apology, I also had some items that were backordered that came back in stock during this time. When they sent me the replacement for the defective product and the product that they double sent they did not include any of my back ordered items that became available I had to personally and email them and ask them to release my item. The item that I ordered were carbon fiber JDM badges when they arrived today I noticed that they are missing paint out of the stars now these are $95 badges I don't expect them to be missing paint. And as of this date I still have not received my entire order from them. So I called the manufacturer and had this very item sent out to me within two days I now have the supposedly backordered product in my possession and did not come from Subispeed. read more

They respond quick when you haven't placed an order, but once you do it's all automated emails stating their policy, which are all false and do not comply. I ordered 3 parts from them and luckily we didn't have any issues. The last part was the exhaust which came damaged!!! We contacted them and they took forever to get back to us. When they did though they where just trying to dismiss the severity of the damages. They referred to the as minor blemishes. Dents in stainless steel exhaust tips and side walls of exhaust are not minor blemishes. When asked if they would put the parts on a car being featured in a magazine or on their website they ignored the question just to offer a $50 store credit. Oh and their return policy which was also sent in the package, which clearly states if there was any damages to the merchandise we had 10 days to let them know for an exchange. It wasn't till they where email a picture of that did they want to agree to an exchange. Which was finally agree upon by their costumer service representive only known as Maddy. They second one was sent and same issue all over again. Same song and dance along with taking forever to get back to us. Never ever will I be doing business with this company.
