That's just the facts of this place, when you go to a gas station there are trash cans and restrooms there 99% of the time, maybe I shouldn't expect it but maybe the owners would notice an influx of good reviews if they had some installed or opened for the public! I absolutely love this unique little spot. It's literally is in the middle of no where. The folks here are nice and the livestock are so friendly. We had a blast feeding the goats and mini donkey. They have a select assortment of snacks to get you to the next town. Just a heads up they don't have a public restroom. If your in need of a laugh and a pick me up this is a must stop. read more

Depressing. The animals are sad and appear to be neglected in the hot sun. There is a little .25 cent pellet dispenser that takes your quarter, but doesn't dispense any pellets. the poor little alpacas, donkeys and goats are desperate for it too. read more

How can anyone not give this place a great rating? I drive salt lake to Boise a lot and it's a super boring drive, but stopping here makes the trips more fun. They have an adorable mini petting zoo out front and every time I come through, I take pictures with my animal friends. They also have funny, quirky cool stuff inside. My only suggestion for improvement is to add a bathroom so I can wash my hands after playing with the llamas. If you have kids, you have to stop! We have been on the road for 23 hours headed from Nebraska to Washington when we came across Sublett fuel stop. BEST EXPERIENCE!!! Good place to stretch your legs and the gentlemen at the counter was very polite and interacted with my two 7 year old boys! Yes prices were a little high, but come on guys in the middle of no where for a reason. ( plan accordingly)! We got to pet and feed donkeys and alpaca, see baby rattlers, snake eggs. Wow! My husband and I stopped here on our honeymoon by accident and had a blast! They have a petting zoo where you can pay 25 cents and feed the animals, hilarious signs in the shop that made us laugh so hard and super friendly staff! Terribly rude and overpriced. I'd rather crawl through the Idaho high desert and suck water from a cactus than darken their door ever again. I've seen them say hyper aggro things about other customers who give them bad reviews. Like, what are you doing?? I feel the need to disclose that I have been sitting on this review for a long time. They pull you in with a billboard that says "feed the alpacas." What they should also say is, "by the way, even though we are "in the middle of nowhere" (their claim), they won't allow customers to use their restroom. They ought to add that to their billboard. Absolutely fantastic little stop! Not very big inside, but full of clever interactive jokes. They had my husband and I laughing with delight. The alpacas, goats, and donkeys were absolutely adorable. I loved the signs that introduced each one of them with a fun little blurb about their personalities. The Staff was very friendly, and indulgent when I ran back in for more quarters. It was an impulsive stop (can confirm that billboard is VERY effective) but became a highlight of our day. Honestly- I'm shocked by the hoity toity outrage I see in so many of the other reviews. Sure the gas is expensive, but nobody is forcing you to get it??? Plan your road trip better so you can be more selective where you stop for gas. Its never a smart idea to drive until your tank is almost empty. If your tank isn't almost empty- you can make it another 15 miles. The gas prices are likely reflective of where they're located- the only reason that gas prices stay consistent in cities is because those cities are already on the tankers route. Gas stations closer to where fuel is refined also have cheaper prices. You're not the only one out in the middle of nowhere- so is this business. As for the bathroom complaints- there's a sign that's very transparent about the fact there is not a bathroom to use. From the look of things my guess is the owner lives in the majority of the building. I wouldn't let people parade through my home to use my toilet either. Just pull off the road, open your car doors for some privacy, and pop a sqat. People get so put out when someone stops buying into the customer is always right mentality. But honestly? Nobody should put up with you being rude in person or online just because you're a customer. I'll just be here happily petting the alpacas while you choose your misplaced outrage. read more

Thieves, nothing short of thieves. They know that they're the only gas station for miles, and let's just say they hide their prices from the highway for a reason: they are criminally high. Don't even get me started on the quality of the station itself. TLDR: If at all possible, avoid this gas station. These greedy people do not deserve your money, and they will rob you of it. "Not your typical corporate gas station," they claim. Couldn't have put it better myself. At least most typical "corporate gas stations" try to provide quality and affordability, and aren't allowed to take advantage of people who don't have a choice. The daughter had to go to the bathroom, and the state rest area traveling west was closed. The iPhone said this joint had a potty, and the sign on the road said they had alpacas! Bonus! Stopped in, and the sign on the door read "no restrooms". Very upsetting! How could this be!With no other options, and no time for any animal petting as she couldn't hold it another minute, we drove down the dead end road and "made do". On our way back we stopped and visited the animals and got some pellets for a quarter, the machine was almost out so we were lucky to be able to give them a treat. While cruising on down the road, I decided to look at the reviews of this spot, and the responses are HILARIOUS!! I wish we would have perused the shop. We'll be passing by again in a few days. Hopefully, it will be during business hours and I can take a peek inside. Not sure how many stars to give a place based on the yelp account management being so steller!!!!!! I was driving from Hawthorne Florida to Portland Oregon... I was exhausted and becoming upset and eager to get home. On the way to get gas... I stopped through Cassia County, Idaho to get gas. I saw all the animals and became instantly excited! I had the opportunity to feed them with the coin machine full of goodies for the animals. I've never seen farm animals at a gas station. I went inside for some snacks and the gentleman behind the counter was funny! He scared me with a joke with a fake animal in a box. Like a jack in the box! Lol my whole experience was amazing and it made my day so much better... I really enjoyed this experience. When I pass through Idaho again, I will visit here. read more

Just updating my review...the owner's response was to point out how "grateful" I should be for their gas business to exist so I don't have to walk. I'm not sure what that has to do with my pointing out that that their prices are extremely high and that there are alternatives. I love supporting local businesses (check my other reviews averaging 4.5) especially since we are one as well and recognize the challenges in customer service where there isn't always enough appreciation or recognition. But to get into an unnecessary confrontation with a customer...unwise and likely confirms the validity of the other poor reviews. read more

stopped here with my mom just to see the animals so i can't speak on the entire place, but the animals could really use some better care. they're matted and dirty and in all honesty seem a little depressed. i feel sorry that to survive these creatures have to rely on owners who care more about witty comebacks on their yelp page than helping them. basic grooming goes a long way! read more

Super scary place. From the outside, it looks like a functional gas station and bathroom stop. There are no prices listed for cost of gas. After going inside looking for a restroom, there are none. The large building is mostly the personal residence of the owners who were rude and condescending. They have a petting zoo that had animals that looked in horrible condition. This is a definite must stop for anyone who is on a road trip with small children. Super friendly animals, clean area, cute little store inside. We weren't expecting a petting zoo when we stopped for gas ,so definitely a nice surprise.They also have a couple interactive surprises inside the store although it's not very big it's perfect for some quick selfies with the kiddos. Gas is almost a full dollar more than anywhere else. They don't even have the price on their sign outside so you won't notice until you pull up to the pump. This gas station uses their location to rip off unsuspecting customers. Actual highway robbery. We drive through on a Sunday (day they're closed despite being 24 hrs) and couldn't fuel up because the pump required input from the cashier who has nowhere to be found.
