I sent her a photo of my unsatisfactory result and she immediately acknowledged the problem rather than trying to dodge the issue. Client satisfaction seems to matter to her, both as a salon owner and a stylist. Of course it would have been better to have my highlights done correctly the first time and it was a waste of time to have to book another appointment, but Faryn impressed me with her knowledgeable expertise and professionalism.

She not only did all of that in a very timely fashion, but was able to volumize my fine and straight hair. At many other salons I've been to, I go home to find that my hair was not evenly cut and is lopsided. Brittany did many checks to make sure the length was just right and proportionate. She was just wonderful, and so much fun to be around! I wear little to no makeup on a daily basis, so I wanted a polished natural look and she delivered with great results! I had a trial, which she does at her home, and I was very satisfied. We discussed some minor changes for the wedding day, which she noted and she found some additional products that were great. She is located in Shrewsbury, which was a bit of a drive for me from Cambridge, but it was totally worth it. For the wedding day, she will travel wherever you need her to be, and she was exactly on time to our hotel. She did makeup for myself and both my mom and mother-in-law and everyone looked beautiful. She really listens to what you want--my makeup came out great in person and in photographs and lasted all night long. Kimberly is also super sweet and friendly. It was great to have someone to help you relax and laugh while you are getting ready, as it can definitely get a little stressful. When she and co-owner Nina (another great stylist I've gone to in the past) opened up their own studio in Marlborough, I brought them a bottle of champagne to celebrate and keep sending clients their way. The studio is in a small house on a busy road, but once you step inside you forget where you are- it's trendy without being obnoxious. The stylists are down to earth, never dressed in matching colors or heels- (why do some salons think severe is the play?) They almost always have music playing, fresh paint and artwork adorn walls, and Candice and Nina are meticulous about keeping their space clean. While I admit, I've tried dying my own hair, trying to cut my own hair on occasion (curls are very forgiving!), I always come back to The Room. I would 100% recommend Candice, Nina, or Olivia as they are all amazing at their craft.

I showed her inspo pictures of a light neutral blonde (achievable because I've done it many times before, my hair was already a dark blonde/light brown, & i've even been full platinum many times with little to no damage) and she said she would get me as light as possible today. She did a full foil and there's literally zero difference in my hair color. Walked out looking the exact same as I looked when I went in. I reached out with pictures from before and after, and she refuses to issue a refund for the $366 I paid to look the exact same. Now have to spend at least another $200 somewhere else to fix it. Don't recommend!

I did not get it colored at Lulu beauty but I got an unbelievable cut -all feathered or layered -I guess it's called - and it has so much more movement and feel so much more healthy.
