Milan was fantastic at setting everything up, Ronny and JR were in charge of the crew, and they were fantastic at navigating the myriad issues involved (coop to coop move). They managed to move 5 Billy bookcases, 3 of which are 15 years old at this point, without a single issue of any kind. These are not the sturdiest of items, so I find that impressive. They had zero damage at either building, and given what I saw in the myriad moves from our old building, where I was a member of the board, most moving companies have a total lack of care.

I did think it was a bit strange that everything was done via email and there's really no other way of contacting them. That said, they were extremely responsive to email, which was fine. The movers themselves were personable and worked efficiently throughout the process, which I appreciated. Beyond that - there were issues. Firstly, the team arrived about 20 minutes late. I did appreciate the heads-up text, but on one of the most stressful days of your life, it's worth noting - especially as it was early in the morning. More importantly, I was under the impression that loading the truck was part of the service I hired Intense Movers to provide. Nope. Instead, that responsibility was completely handed off to my partner, who stayed with the truck while the movers brought items down for him to load. There was no discussion about this. In fact, it was initially suggested that I use only 2 movers but I requested another to be more efficient. I didn't realize that they assumed my partner was an unpaid 4th. Items with "this side up" stickers were completely disregarded. They brought everything down however they wanted to and handed them off to my partner however was most convenient for them. Also, a couple of guys who were not part of the moving team entered my apartment unannounced, to say hello to the movers. They did not clearly identify themselves, though it seemed like they may have been affiliated with the company. Regardless, having strangers invite themselves into my apartment during the move was pretty inappropriate. Lastly, when it came time for payment, you can only pay by cash or Zelle - which, to me, is sketchy AF. I had planned to send it via Zelle to their company account as instructed. However, the lead mover was insistent that I send the payment directly to him instead, saying he needed to pay his workers immediately. He was so insistent about it that it made me feel really uneasy. In the end, if I could do it all over - I definitely would have chosen someone else who was more professional.

I tried to get my car shipped by three different transport companies. Two took deposits. The deposit was returned by the shipper after a driver backed out due to fuel costs. Ultimate Transport asked for an additional $350 to cover increase in fuel costs. I paid the $350. Vlad picked up the car on time and delivered it to me in 4 days. He was very professional. My complaint is that the golf cart was damaged during transport and the actual transporter lied about the condition of the cart when it was picked up. It arrived without a windshield and with front body damage, not major but work I cannot do myself. The transporter said he would reimburse me for the windshield but when I looked closer and found the body damage, I asked for the $700 back that I paid him as that what I figured it would cost to fix. He refused so I called Ultimate Transport 123 to file a claim with them and was told (after numerous calls) that I had to file a claim against the transporter's insurance and that they would send me the information so submit against his insurance. I still have not received anything from them and they have said that since I have spam filter, they can't contact me??? All you have to do is speak your name... then the call goes through. They also have my email address. Ultimate called and left a message and I called them back just to wait on hold and then disconnected. The company I hired was Ultimate and they should be the one I contact to take care of this... they keep acting like they are attempting to help resolve this but they really are not. I didn't even ask for a full refund, just the cost of the repair!!! Do not use this company if you expect to receive your vehicle in the same condition as you sent it...

If you are deciding whether or not to book them take this review as a sign that you should NEVER work with them and go with another company. I had gone with them for my move because I had used them last year. And even though the move last year was mediocre (late arrival, workers spending time to use my bathroom without asking, slow communication, etc) I still decided to go with them because they gave a really nice return customer discount which was far below all of the other quotes that I saw around. When I first started to communicate with them everything was going pretty well. Communication was quick and I had all my questions answered quickly and efficiently. However, after I paid my deposit and COI charges everything went downhill from there. I had worked it out with David before to have my COIs sent out ASAP due to the request of my buildings since I was told they usually send out the COIs 1-2 days before a move. They were able to send out the COIs early last year during my other move so I knew it was possible albeit they were also very laggy on that last year as well but still got done. David told me to message him a weekend two weeks before my move to make sure my COIs were sent out which I did with no answer. I gave them till the following Monday and still no message after asking again. After some badgering I finally received a message on Wednesday saying he would check in with me by tomorrow and let me know. And still no update or answer. This went on till the next Monday where I never received an answer to a simple "Is my COI sent out like you promised" question. During this whole time I am pretty sure they were fielding my calls as well because I was always sent straight to voicemail. Finally, after no actual response and no idea what was going to happen with a move that was seeming to probably never happen I asked them directly if this move was going to happen and never received a response. So that forced me to find another moving company around 4 days before my move. Which really amplified my anxiety on top of an already stressful situation such as moving. This whole situation just felt like such a scam - they got their money and completely ghosted and did not give any service or just basic communication. Look up their Better business review (link at bottom) From what we can tell this company is two guys in a room outsourcing jobs to outside moving teams. If anything goes wrong they will do their best to disappear. We hired them to do our move and paid for the insurance that our building required. They never provided the insurance information to our building as promised, they showed up hours late and then caused damage to the hallway in our building. The damage was $650 and when we tried contacting them about it they stopped answering our calls. (I have a recording of them saying we paid for the insurance and that they would send it) We have asked for a refund for the insurance that we paid ($60) and for them to cover the damage. We called, we emailed. No response. We sent an official demand letter and are now working our way through the small claims court process. Surprise, surprise none of their addresses are legit. At this point it's not about the money but the principle of a company taking your money and not providing a service. Look them up on the Better Business Bureau and you will see their F rating. Katz has always made the terrible process of moving better for us, even when something does go wrong -- in our most recent move, the movers were very delayed in getting started, but Bjorn (head of operations) made it right by giving us a discount right away, and showing up on site to get things started himself. And Vincent, Wade, Robert, and Mike (the crew of movers) did an amazing job caring for our stuff, all made harder by moving on an absolute scorcher of a day (over 100 degrees). In fact it was the second time Vincent and his crew moved us, and he (and all of them) were great. We were told that not everything fit onto the truck and that the overflow would be delivered at a later date. We were not given the option to delay the arrival of the majority of our things until everything could fit on the truck. We also were not given an ETA for the remainder of our things (including clothing, furniture, children's toys, bikes, school supplies, etc). I tried calling Liberty Moving and Storage at least 3-4 times a week for about 3.5 weeks before anyone could give me any type of information about when our things would arrive. There was not one single instance that anyone called me back when they said that they would. Every communication was initiated by me. I was told that there was no obligation from the moving company to compensate or reimburse for overflow delays. This is not how the contract is written or reads, but again, no one will return my phone calls. When our overflow items finally did arrive, 26 days after our initial delivery, numerous things were broken. This wasn't just fragile items. The boxes were crushed and torn. A metal chair leg was bent in half and expensive carpentry tools were broken. These were not items that could have been broken easily, but rather things that were clearly dropped, shoved, and mistreated. This move was nearly $11,000, plus the added fees of needing to purchase items that were delayed in delivery, plus the hours of time that I spent trying to understand when my items would be delivered, plus the costs of replacing what they broke. AVOID!

Do NOT hire these movers…read more They damaged my $4,500 exercise bike on a 0.5 mile NYC move. I had paid for $15,000 in extended valuation coverage and declared the bike on their high-value list. They offered me $150. I have video of the bike in perfect condition the morning of the move and video of the damage at delivery. Their own lead mover photographed the damage himself. Then their claims department told me the manufacturer said the damage was cosmetic and didn't affect functionality. I have the manufacturer's email saying the opposite: the unit's flywheel is damaged, unit cannot be serviced and requires full replacement. They made that up to deny my claim. I appealed. Senior management said no new facts were presented, after I submitted the manufacturer's email, and raised the offer to $200. Going through Small claims court, NY Attorney General, and FMCSA filings now. Overall incredibly disappointing experience. Do not hire them.
