I am utterly disgusted. After being a patient for over 30 years this immediate cares patient care…read moreor lack thereof was totally unacceptable. Upon bringing in a patient in after calling and verifying walk ins welcomed, we were turned away! Please keep in mind we arrived 16 minutes agter the call. The receptionist that I spoke with rolled her eyes when we were told by the younger receptionist we would bot be seen, that is ridiculous. The patient that was brought in was an asthmatic. We informed them of the reason for the visit. The younger receptionist went to get a nurse that confirmed shortness of breath and chest tightness from triage. The nurse advised us that they were going to speak with the provider. 15 minutes later the younger receptionist came back again and told us we could not be seen! This was a total waste of time! From the most recent reviews it appears that this is becoming the norm and it is absolutely unacceptable! It appears that the staff was more concerned about getting home on time than patients. Being that Northwestern Medicine is a well respected establishment, something needs to change locally sooner than later. I remember the days when this immediate care rated 5 stars. It is my hope that you all get this turned around.

I most likely won't be coming here ever again! I am so defeated by my last experience. I came in…read morebecause I was having flu like symptoms and thought I'd go in for some quick antibiotics or something. When I got there the staff was nice but she did tell me it will be a long wait, and she kept pushing for the tele-health option. This is where the doctor calls you via phone and you describe your symptoms to them and they diagnose you from there. They don't see you at all. I opted to do this option because it wasn't anything too too serious, just flu like symptoms so why not? It took about 1 hour to receive a call from the Doctor. She was friendly, asked me all the basic questions my symptoms, do I have any allergies, taking any medication, etc. she set up for me to get tested for Covid-19, Flu, and Strep Throat. I still never laid eyes on my Doctor, after you're done talking to to them on the phone you wait in the lobby to do any testing you may need. Waiting to get tested didn't take long at all. Got tested and I was free to go and they call you with the results. So, I got my call and to my surprised I tested negative for all 3 test. So, the same Doctor called me back with my results and told me she will be prescribing me with 2 medications and a nasal spray. One of the medications was for pain (I'm assuming for my sore throat), the other medication was a cough suppressant which the pharmacist told me was very, very strong. I ended up not taking the cough suppressant because that doesn't even sound healthy. I wanted to encourage my body to cough up any phlegm because that's how it naturally gets rid of the bacteria that's making me sick. So I did take the pain pill and I did the nasal spray. I thought all was well and I went to sleep for the night. I woke up in a huge pool of blood (like a really really big puddle, which I won't show because it's very graphic). And that was coming from my nose. Throughout the day my nose bled 3 more times and it was a lot of blood. I did not take anymore of the nasal spray or any medicine she prescribed for that matter. I ended up calling this facility and telling them what happened. I did not talk to the same Doctor but instead I was speaking to a nurse. She told me to stop taking the nasal spray (duh). So then that night I went to a different clinic and their Doctor told me that the spray that was prescribed is extremely strong and really dried out my sinuses. He told me to go buy some over the counter saline spray to put moisture back into my nasal passage. So I've been doing that and the nosebleeds have stopped, but my eyes are bloodshot red, like extremely red. I thought I popped a blood vessel in there or something, and they have been bloodshot red for going on 3 days. They're not irritated, or itchy, or discharging pus or anything crazy like that. I just think the nasal spray dried my eyes out too. I've tried eye drops but nothing is working. So I will be taking a trip back to the Doctor tomorrow to try to figure out what this nasal spray did to me. I've been running around looking like a deranged vampire, with these bloodshot eyes. I can't even go to work with my eyes in this condition, and I would really like to get back to work. I really wish I never used those prescriptions. If there's one thing I don't mess with it's my face. Hopefully I can get my beautiful eyeballs back. I'm so disheartened. I'm only giving 2 stars because the staff was friendly. However, please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

But I also know to be in the habit of taking medications at the same time daily and not missing doses. Well I took my dose without thinking and went for my bloodwork. The VERY professional technician (Jessica) asked if I took my morning dose and I was shocked! If it wasn't for her I would have gotten bad test results that could have seriously damaged my health and wellbeing. She rescheduled me for the next day and I was on my way. I appreciate that they are asking the proper questions and doin the proper checks.

One star is too generous for this shady operation. Although the staff was relatively friendly and the environment was pristine, the quality of the service ends with their cordial nature and cleanly atmosphere. Upon arrival I signed in and was ushered into a back room for my blood draw. I will admit I was a bit nervous, so I made small talk with the phlebotomist (yes, the only responsibility of this woman's job is to effectively draw blood), during which she informed me that I was the last draw of the afternoon for her before the weekend started. Nice. She proceeded to draw my blood (and let me tell you, I've got some prime veins for drawing) and upon doing so, I realized something was very wrong. It physically was hurting my arm and felt like the needle was pulling to the side. Admittedly, I am not hardcore, so I really didn't care to look at it...I just fought back the urge to rip the needle out of my arm and waited for it to be over. Finally! The needle was extracted from my arm and I started feeling a little sick. Next thing I know, I'm being woken up by a man that was in the lobby area of the facility last time I was conscious. Apparently, the phlebotomist didn't have time to wait for me to come to, and decided her weekend plans were more important than the well-being of a patient. She had left the facility and left me in care of a completely unfamiliar male employee. Wow. I wish the horror story experience ended there, but of course this hasn't gotten juicy enough yet, has it? My arm is sore as can be, silly me...I thought I would be able to work out after a quick blood draw, nope-- not for about 3 days afterward. And the bruising, well I'm a pretty small person and I had a bruise about the size of a potato on my arm in addition to the overall discomfort and annoyance of not being able to use my arm. Upon receiving the bill I attempted to call their billing office number provided on the statement to contest the amount because like any place where I feel I've been taken advantage of, I expect some type of concession to be made. I mean, this is my well-being here, what if I hadn't of woken up or had passed out again? Not to mention the fact that I'm petrified to get my blood drawn again for fear of encountering another inept individual. Anyhow, upon contacting the office, the "customer service representative" was unable to find me in the computer, and asked me if I was sure that's where I was...uhm yes, I'm a little traumatized from the experience not to mention that YOU'RE SENDING ME A BILL, DUDE. So this CSR calls the office where I was treated and they can't find a record of me. She tells me to go there, uhm wasn't I just on the phone on a 3 way call with someone at that office? What is me showing up in person going to do if they don't have a record over the phone? Well, apparently it matters a heck of a lot because I then drove there and wow, someone apparently got off their behind and scrounged up a record of me. My friend the phlebotomist was there, and when I verbalized my complaint she grew combative although I had told her that I was not trying to get her in trouble, simply expecting some type of concession from a company that treats their patients poorly and offers sub par service. Of course no one actually in the office was able to do anything about the bill nor was anyone at the actual billing office and I am now waiting to hear from their supervisor with whom I've left a message. The quality of service provided here was extremely disappointing especially considering the nature of their business. I would be irate for a vet tech to treat my dog in such a manner, let alone a human being. I will never return to Quest Diagnostics for the entirety of my life, nor will I recommend this facility to any friends or family members. I have already contacted both my physician that ordered the test and my primary physician regarding the atrocious behavior of this establishment. Sorry, I know this one was quite a rant but I feel very passionately about my safety and well being. One place you should feel safe in is a medical facility and I was horrified by the lack of ethics and compassion provided by Quest.
