Tim, one of the exterminators, came the very same day we called in our concern. He sprayed the nest and applied a powder, this being done with a very long (20'), unwieldy device. The yellow jackets are now gone, and it seems unlikely they will return. Tim recommended we wait at least seven days and to call if they did come back. Cost was reasonable given the stress we were feeling with the yellow jackets in our home.
