I love a good sandwich shop and was excited to see this new place open on Main Street just east of…read moreDTA. So I stopped in for lunch while running errands in Riverdale. Plenty of parking available for this corner shop. Walking in the place looked clean and industrial (like Chipotle, concrete and steel). The older lady at the register was helpful with placing my newbie order. They would call my name once it was ready. I also saw a spot for online orders for pickup. And I think there's a drive through window behind the front counter, although my order did take about 10-15 mins... so a slow drive through. There was a cooler for bottle beverages but also a self serve soda fountain. The dining area had a big round table that could accommodate a larger group, 1 square table for 4, 5 rectangle tables for pairs (or slide together for 4) and long high bar style top along a wall where you can look out the window. I ordered the Small 8" classic Cheesesteak sandwich meal (fries and drink). I would have to say this is the best Cheesesteak I've ever had. Good flavor, good texture with the steak (not too chewy), cheese was nicely melted throughout (not squirted on top), good balance of onions/mushrooms. The bread held its own... wasn't too chewy or soggy. I didn't know if I wanted hot or sweet peppers so I asked for them on the side. My nose said "nope" to both so I left them off. Subs come in mini (4"), small (8"), medium (10") and large (18"). A small 8" sandwich is almost too much. **After I posted this, I saw an ad on FB...interesting algorithm there. They have $9.99 deal: 4" mini sub, half salad and side/ drink. You can choose your side for the meal and I ordered fries. **This option is unique. Usually only chips are offered. Fries gives Jon Smith Subs vibes. JSS in Andover closed over 5 years ago and I still miss them. I got a gift card in my purse I can't use. ** Fries were long, fried to a golden crunch, and soft potato inside. Served hot and salty. While dining in, I saw the older lady come out into the lobby to clean tables, straighten up tables/ chairs and reorganize the condiment station. Nice! Clean, friendly, tasty.... I'll be back!

I can say it was not the best sandwich I have ever had. The meat was not slices but rather large pieces of turkey. I don't think the meat was bad, just not very flavorful. The jury is still out as to whether or not I will go back to try another sandwich to test their claim as having the best sandwich.

To run through the evening courses let's start with the opening app and cocktail. The Chips & Dip, house made seasoned chips with a perfect Blue Cheese dip with caramelized shallots, I suggest ordering an extra cup of the dip as there are an abundance of chips. My first cocktail was perfect or shall we say a "Pear-Fect Manhattan". This play on the Manhattan had a hint of pear and was spirit forward. We continued the evening with two sharable plates, the first was the Tenderloin Steak Bites served with a perfect Wasabi Kimchi Sauce. As tender as it was, the steak could have used more seasoning or being marinated in that delicious sauce. The second sharable was the Chile Seared Shrimp, placed atop delicious Cheesy Grits, very yummy. The evening ended with the most amazing dessert and paired cocktail. By all means, do yourself a favor and indulge in the most decadent Butter Cake drizzled in a Bourbon Caramel Sauce paired with a Amaretto Sour cocktail. You wouldn't necessarily know it, but the White Rabbit nestled in this strip mall sets itself up with the ambiance as a high end establishment.

I ordered the Rib Roast Dip. It was very good. I ate half there and boxed up the other half. the other half was actually better the next day! My friend got the Chimi-asada bowl and reported it was very good. Overall, my first visit was very good! We even made plans to return the following week.

There were booths, tables, and bar seating - a variety that will work for small to big parties. There was an additional dining room for busier times and the parking lot was large enough to accommodate. Our server was so sweet and seemed to know a lot of people that were dining in her section so there's gotta be a good regular crowd (which is usually a promising sign). If the locals like it, it's probably worth a stop! Our friends that live nearby got breakfast plates. They said they come in often and the breakfast is always a hit. They also recommend the "build your own" old fashioned sandwich for dinner. I had the BLT on marble rye bread - perfectly toasted, the bacon was the right amount of crispy, the toppings were fresh. The tater tots (crispy, not super greasy) were a hit with the entire table, everyone kept nibbling on them even after they were full. Our meals were priced well for the amount of food per dish which is a big plus nowadays. They also have a good Bloody Mary to cure those Sunday blues! We will definitely be coming back again.

They just opened this weekend and seem to be a well oiled machine already. We ordered online and the food was ready before the estimated pick up time. The team friendly and prompt! Burrata Pesto Salad: the ingredients are top tier, the burrata is made fresh, and the flavor pairing is out of this world. South Philly: a classic Philly cheesesteak! We opted to add their BBQ Aioli for a smoky flare. The cheesesteaks are massive and the salad is both substantial and rich. We split both and were very full. Be sure to go past the pick up counter to try some of their special sauces. Our favorite is the BBQ Aioli and there are plenty of options to choose from. Pro Tip: sign up for their rewards program to get a discount for your birthday. You can use it in store and for online orders.
