So hit and miss with this place...Came in again.. last time was fantastic! This time, not so much... I came in for a 6" meal. The person behind the counter was professional and made my sandwich great. They had known ahead of time that I was getting that meal, as I inquired about the validity of the coupon I had in my hand. I finish up and they forget to hand me my drink. So I ask which cup to grab. No problem. They tell me which one, then I go to fill it up with unsweetened tea. I don't drink sugar. The machine isn't percolating and the bin looked off kilter. I ask the person behind the counter if the tea is safe. They say no. I instantly drop my tea into the refuse bin and sit down to awkwardly eat my meal. Next time I will ask ahead of time if their tea is safe. First time coming in our impression was wow, this store is so clean. The service was amazing the staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met and were so welcoming. Today we visited the outer regions of Seattle and were in Belfair for lunch. None of the restaurants appeared to get good review so we went for what we know and price. Still not sure how Subway can afford a 6"BLT - fully stuffed - for $3.50 but low price and good food (how do you ruin a BLT) and I am a fan. This review is only comparing it to other Subways and chains. There was 3 people helping at lunch - all friendly and working together. All of them were fast and very efficient. The restaurant was clean and overall a great experience. Based on the other reviews I am thinking that management actually read them and improved the establishment - hopefully our experience will be the future and not an abnormally. read more

I've been here quite a few times. I assume they are under new management since the bad reviews. They are quick, and polite. The food taste just like every other subway and everything looks fresh. I don't really care for the tiny parking lot or the fact that you can never pull out of the driveway because the traffic is always crazy right there! read more

This Subway was disgusting when I worked there in 2008. The Owner of this Subway is the reason why it has so many issues. Jeff McVicker makes sure that it is under staffed, so be sure you have time when going here. The staff is always on point, they do their best with the situation they have been given. I know that a lot of the equipment they use doesn't get replaced until it breaks or gets too bad to use. So condiment bottles, lids, knives, cambro containers, the silicone bread pan sleeves, are always old and worn. I would like to see it ran with new ownership, by someone who supplies the necessary equipment for the employees, as well as someone who allows the facility to be properly staffed. read more

I went in there today for the first time since I moved here two years ago. I've never been a fan of subway that's why took me so long to go there. I walked in and there were two people in front of me and I noticed that the counter where they make the food was a little dirty with food. I wasn't able to get up close to the window because the customers it from me. So I waited for about five minutes while he made their sandwiches in the whole time I was wondering if I wanted to eat this, because it looked dirty. Anyways the customers move down the line and I was able to get up to the window and look at the food and it was disgusting looking and I slowly walked out the door with no intention of ever coming back again. I've been to many Subways, but won't go to the Yelm one again! I asked for a footlong that I've ordered there and at other Subways many, many times without a problem, Chicken, Bacon, Ranch. I asked for the regular cubed chicken instead of the new shredded stuff they want to give you (which is skimpy) and was told I'd be charged extra for that. NO OTHER Subway has done that for the same exact sandwich with the original chicken they've always used before! I mentioned that I have always gotten it with the basic chicken and was told "we no longer use that on that sandwich." To make it even worse, I had a coupon for "any footlong" other than the Baha (whatever) and they STILL wanted to charge extra for the original chicken! I objected and finally an employee that had been sitting at one of the tables came behind the counter and resentfully rang it according to the coupon, but lectured me on being rude...incredible. I had simply been trying to explain to the other gal making my sandwich that the coupon should apply if it was good for ANY FOOTLONG! I asked whether they honored the coupons or not??? Finally asked to have their owner call me, Jeff McVickers and left my phone number, but of course he's never called. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped off here after an exceedingly long and frustrating day at work. We were tired, we were hungry, we were cranky, and we hadn't eaten all day. Well I must say, Bryan totally made our evening! He was friendly, funny, and very enthusiastic about sandwiches. He made recommendations on special ways of preparing our subs, which we agreed to, being too tired to even think. People of Yelp, if Bryan at the Belfair Subway ever makes a sandwich recommendation to you, listen to him! This is by far the best Subway sandwich I have ever had. It is fabulous, and so is this Subway. We'll be back in the area next week, and you can bet where we'll be eating. read more

I went to this Subway restaurant last night to try their Grilled Chicken Salad, and I came away satisfied. Yes, the portion is a little smaller compared to other restaurant salads in the area, but as a quick, healthy alternative to a sub sandwich, it fits he bill just fine. This Subway has the worst employees. There was one good female employee who was friendly and fair with her portions of food, but she is gone and all that is left is a bunch of rude and stingy people. When you order a sandwich, they are never friendly and are always short with their questions and responses to what you want. When you get to the vegetables, you let them know you want something and they hardly put anything on it. Say you want jalepenos, they will sit and count them out and put one straight line on the sandwich. Also, when you ask for extra of anything they will grab like 5 more and add it to the 5 they've already put on. I assume when people want extra they want more than 10 olives! And lastly they never have any fresh cookies or cinnamon rolls made. And when they say they have none, the don't offer to make any. Same as when they run out of a certain kind of bread. I know this is a chain restaurant and I can't expect GREAT service, but I am still spending money on their product and its NOT cheap anymore. So if you want a sandwich with little to nothing on it, and like being treated rudely, go to this Subway. I for one will not be spending any more money here. read more
