El Balcon & Brem Burgerz is a tiny little restaurant with seating for maybe 5 people inside and a couple of small tables outside. It's basically a walk up window although there's a kiosk right inside the entrance for contactless ordering. They seem to have some pretty healthy business - when I visited on a Wednesday for lunch, there was a steady line of customers, with more people getting takeout than eating there given the cramped conditions. My food took about ten minutes to arrive. Balcon Burrito ($19.78) - This is a huge burrito, one of the largest I've seen since leaving the Bay Area. It's not quite Mission-sized but is definitely approaching that type of massiveness. The burrito is rolled reasonably well, although there's still some give and some of the curtido liquid leaks out of the ends. What's so special about this burrito? It's Salvadoran fusion, with curtido and a whole pupusa stuffed inside a tortilla! There's of course tender and flavorful beans and rice and some good quality grilled carne asada as well. The meat, in particular, is tender and completely trimmed of all fatty and gristly parts. It's a great preparation. The pupusa adds tons of sweet masa flavor. It's stuffed to the brim with cheese, including some that oozes out and griddles to create excellent caramelized portions. The crunchy curtido inside adds some crunch and some sweetness and acidity that just works so well with the rest of the ingredients. While they offer salsa on the side, it's not needed at all in this burrito; there's plenty of moisture and flavor. It's an interesting and inventive burrito, and is really delicious. (5/5) El Balcon certainly serves some delicious burritos! While on the expensive side, the portion size is easily large enough for two people. I can't say I go to Bremerton all that often, but next time I visit, I'd love to give some of El Balcon's other food a try! I ordered a MASSIVE burrito and pupusa; I don't know how, but I finished both. They were incredibly delicious. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I've eaten so much in a single sitting. We ordered at the window; the woman who took our order was friendly and efficient. We wanted to see something outside of Seattle so we decided to take the ferry down to Bremerton. Known primarily for its deep rooted naval history, this town was pretty quiet during our brief mid-week visit. But we did stumble upon this quick eat spot. It's a small, bustling storefront restaurant that shares its location with a burger shop. I came for the Pupusa Revuelta and it did not disappoint. The mass was perfectly tender with that amazing crispy burnt cheese bits oozing from the edges. Make sure to pile on the curtido or cabbage slaw on top of that bad boy. Comes with an avocado lime salsa which adds to the zest. It's a casual, no frills spot, but the service is friendly and welcoming. A hidden gem in this sleepy town. 3.7 stars read more

I've been craving Pupusas for a while and I didn't think I'd find a place that made some so Close to my new home. I want to say that this place had excellent customer service. The man went above and beyond to make his customers feel welcomed and made sure they had everything they needed (napkins, forks, salsa). There is a small indoor seating to get out of the cold rainy Washington weather. The food tasted pretty good and will definitely be back! read more

Cute little walk up restaurant! No in or outside seating. The service was great, the person who took our order was helpful and kind. And food came in 5-8 min. We got the combo (2 carnitas tacos and 1 bean and cheese papusa) and one Cali burrito. Both were delicious! If I'm being picky, I would have liked a tad more flavor in the salsa and beans in the papusa. But other than that, it was great. Happy with our choice to stop here before the ferry home! read more

Its aight its mid the price doesnt match the quality. Got the california burrito. Flavor wise its bland steak wish there was more meat for what your payin for.. I was walking by this place on my way to the ferry and instantly got drawn to it cause of how good it smelled. And I'm so happy I went in to try their food. Their Pupusa Revuelta (bean, pork, and cheese) was soooo good! The Curtido (cabbage slaw) was the perfect balance with it. The cashier asked me what kind of salsa I preferred and I loved that she took the time to ask (it's the little details!). Both the red and green salsas added even more flavor to the Pupusa. I love when they were a hole in the wall restaurant and I love em after the left the old Bremerton Bar & Grill and went back into the hole in the wall location. Was in downtown Bremerton and saw this joint. Ordered the double combo with no pickles (Notice in pics that pickles were on burger). Burger was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy, not a hockey puck which we get served at other burger joints! Fries were good which come with a small side of fry sauce. Generally a decent burger, nothing amazing in any way. Everyone else was doing Mexican so that may have been my mistake. My gripe here is that nine people ordered after, and received their food, before me. No exaggeration. We decided to pop in here after a trip to the Naval Museum. We had two tween-agers and were starving and as other reviews have said, it doesn't look like much from the street. It was also the holiday week before New Years so the area was dead quiet. Seating inside isn't much - 2-top outdoor patio furniture, and really only space for about 6 people, but we were pleasantly surprised. The burgers were excellent. Cooked to order and fresh, the buns were toasty and soft, the special sauce tasty. Fries were hot and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Your basic smash double cheeseburger with nice fry sauce cheese and pickles lettuce grilled onion. My Hubble loves smashburgers and gave it a 10 for flavor and portion. I give it less as thin gray burgers, even doubled up with cheese and onions is only adequate accompaniment with a fine stout from neighbor Local Boys...which allows you to bring in food.
