I had ordered through the mobile app, October 4th, 2020 at 3:30pm, and had my husband swing by to pick it up. I'm assuming they weren't too busy since they made my sandwich pretty quickly. But when my husband arrived home with my sandwich I pulled it out and immediately noticed the oily wrapping. You couldn't even lift the sandwich properly to place it onto a plate without the bread bringing pulled down by gravity with how much oil it had sucked up. So I called to figure out if I could possibly get a refund, and they apparently (from what I was told) don't offer refunds but would gladly make another sandwich for me. Not only did the sandwich lose my appetite but so did hearing that I wouldn't be able to get a refund. The woman was so nice when I showed her the sandwich since she had also agreed it was a poorly made sandwich, but I will not be ordering from this location since they don't offer refunds. I recommend (if you absolutely have to) you order in person at this location so you can make sure they make your sandwich properly since you wouldn't be able to get your money back. read more

f I could if no stars then I would. They screwed up on my online curbside pick up order. Not sure how the receipt shows BLT and yet the sub was Salami, Ham, Tomato, and Mayo. The person that I spoke was told by his manager that I need to bring the sandwich back in tack in order to get a refund. I told them that we live in New Bern and they said it didn't matter. So we're having to drive back on base so they can issue a refund. Shame on who ever screwed up my order and to the manager who made me go out of my way. The service is lackluster on a good day. The manager yells at employees in front of customers. The turnover is so high I'm not sure I've seen the same crew twice and I (used to) dine here weekly. Utterly abysmal place where dreams go to die, and slacks go to get ruined by poorly made subs. If you end up having to eat here because of the very limited options in the area, GOOD LUCK! read more

I'm writing this to report bad experience at one of your restaurants. I realized only after the fact they hadn't even given me a receipt which underlines yet another facet of this bad experience. The employee's seems nice enough, however when I asked for the franchise owners contact information, email or otherwise, the manager on shift wouldn't give it out. I made every attempt to be cordial and very polite telling him not to worry about it that I would have to put in an ice comment with our basis interactive customer evaluation system, only to realize upon looking that the manager or owner had not even set up a web page for their business on our base, which is highly irregular. Despite the fact the manager would not give me the information to contact her Superior, I thank them for the food and wish them a nice afternoon telling them that I would contact their officer other means. Aside from the way the manager is running the store, the actual problem that I had was the credit card reader seems to have issues for several months now reading my card whenever I would come by to eat. I've been told previously by other employees that they had difficulties with this card reader, but despite the fact they seemed used to simply asking people to manually enter their card information. Not only does this slow down the line but making the customer do work is kind of rude and it also introduces germs and other problems in a restaurant environment. I wouldn't mind if it was something to do with my card, as the manager seems to think, but I had just use this card to purchase something next door and then I went and purchased something else afterwards and the card works fine elsewhere. This is happened several times at this restaurant and this is finally the moment I said enough I needed to report it. I feel like when the workers complain about something nothing really happens, but when a customer complains then hopefully results should occur. This Subway is the only one on Marine Corps Base Cherry Point in Havelock, North Carolina. I would like to see this card reader replaced. It is clearly showing signs of its age does operationally and visibly. I would also like the management to be given clear instructions that when a customer ask for their superiors information, that they should give it out or have some type of formal response. Rest assured that if I do not receive any response to this request, I will be contacting our bases legal department, the commanding officer, and I will be leaving negative reviews on Google reviews and Yelp. The manager is the rudest person I've ever met. She doesn't need to be the manager. She yells at people nonstop, I think her name is Kerry, that's what I saw on the name tag. She doesn't care how hard minors work, knowing that they have school the next day and they don't even get home until close to midnight. These people need to be focused more on their school work rather than worrying about work. They are a student before an employee. read more

The convenience of on base is great, but that's about it from what I've seen. Ordered a 6" steak egg and cheese omelet sandwich. The sandwich artist misunderstood me and thought I wanted a steak and cheese sandwich. An understandable mistake, however after the order was clarified, the employee proceeded to scrape half the steak that was already on the sandwich off (since the steak egg and cheese is only a half tray of steak per 6"), then put the tray of scraped off steak back in the case to use. On multiple occasions, I have grabbed cookies from this subway, and was disappointed with stale cookies every time. read more

During the whole month of January my goal was to eat at this exact subway once daily. I succeed in this goal with missing maybe 3-4 days. That being said, I have a very accurate picture of what this subway is truly like. The food does not differ a whole lot from any other subway's food, but the employees and service vary greatly. Both of the managers at this location have the worst attitudes I have seen when it comes to customer service. If you come in contact with a manager named "Mandi" Lookout! Both managers were rude to me on more than one occasion and the other employees that work there know how rude they are because I asked them if it was normal. On a different note, the other employees are generally nice and cheerful but I found my sandwiches put together sloppily. As a whole, other subways I VISTA tend to be cleaner and have newer equipment and are Rawley "out" of any supplies. But, Alas! I wont stop coming to this subways because it is the closest and most convenient for people that live on base and at the end of the day its just a sandwich......... read more
