The only place we found was a little drive up place called Dash inn. this young lady came up to the car took our order and in less then 10 minutes we had our food. the only thing that was missing would be The tray that hooked on the door windows. Our waitress brought the food in a plane white bag. I did not get any shots of the food because I forgot to take pictures of it. As I finished eating I realized I forgot the pictures. So I had a bacon cheese burger with fries. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bacon was extra crispy, the burger was not greasy. It with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles . Trust me when I say it was good because it was.

My wife and I ate here twice on our recent visit to the east-side of Glacier National Park -- once for dinner and another time for breakfast. This place is a step up from Taco Bell, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. The "junior" size of the ole potatoes with the breakfast combo is massive -- both of us were only able to eat about half of ours!

Then, you'll wait for 30 minutes without her checking on you or bringing menus. Eventually we grabbed our own menus and had the dishwasher grab us two waters. No one checked on us for a very, very long time. We finally got to order our food around 6:58 after arriving at 6:02. We received our food at 7:19 and our tacos had the soggiest tortillas, they were falling apart and we had to just eat the ingredients on the inside with a fork. All of our other dishes were cold & not very flavorful. The server never ONCE checked on us or refilled our waters (that she didn't bring us in the first place). There were three women working the front of house and the main server continuously yelled at and scolded one of the other servers and at one point raised her voice at her and said "we will talk about this later!! You're being so rude!" It made for a VERY uncomfortable experience for everyone around. Every single table that came in after us not only received drinks, attention, menus, etc., but they ALL ordered and received their food before us. Like, nearly 30 minutes before us. It was an absolute horrible experience. I've worked in food service before & have eaten at many establishments where service wasn't quite up to par but this really topped all of them. I've never had an experience like this before. I'd also like to mention that the establishment was incredibly hot as well. Just an overall horrible experience. Almost two hours later, we were able to leave, after having to wait 15 minutes to pay after we were done eating.

Anyone driving through can plainly see that this town is down and out, but they need to find a better way of raising revenue than ripping off travelers. The people working at the Comfort Inn were friendly and helpful. For dinner, one of them recommended Coyote Lanes, the local bowling alley, as "the best place in town." Sadly, he did not warn us about the speed trap that the local sheriff maintains to nick tourists for the impoverished town's coffers. Although I was not speeding (as shown in the attached dash cam video and scrfeenshot), the sheriff ruined our night in Shelby. We travel this route often, and have never been stopped for a traffic violation. We plan to never return to Shelby, and we will let our friends and social media contacts know about this grift.

For ice creams for 4 of 5 people, and a couple snacks, not even any meals, it was $54. That's a bit much for me. It was nice to have that place though, and there's not much competition, as the town is tiny and there are very few choices for ice cream or food at all. Their version of the Blizzard was called a Razzle, and it was good. For the location, this place was an oasis, but compared to similar places elsewhere, it was lacking. I'd go again though, only because there was no other choices! If you are in Fort Benton and it's hot, you'll appreciate the Freeze, even with the cost.
