Driving on a Sunday being from out of town needing some lunch. We had one and only one place to get something to eat. We were in Shelby Montana. The only place we found was a little drive up place called Dash inn. this young lady came up to the car took our order and in less then 10 minutes we had our food. the only thing that was missing would be The tray that hooked on the door windows. Our waitress brought the food in a plane white bag. I did not get any shots of the food because I forgot to take pictures of it. As I finished eating I realized I forgot the pictures. So I had a bacon cheese burger with fries. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bacon was extra crispy, the burger was not greasy. It with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles . While traveling thru we stopped here for lunch. You can either order at the window or a server stopped by our car and we ordered from her. She then brought it out to us when done cooking. I got a mushroom Swiss burger and my husband got the bacon cheese burger. We got some fries to share. Everything was good. Nice place to stop for lunch. read more

We loved the Dash Inn! We were trying to figure out what the heck we were going to eat coming back from St Mary headed to Conrad, and this is about the only thing around, but they didn't act like it! The service was great, we pulled up, in the rain, and a girl came right out to take our order in the parking lot! I was fully expecting to get the families order and go out in the rain to the window, but they came right to us! We all got burgers of some sort, but they have lots of options including sandwiches and wraps. We also got some fried mushrooms, which were great, and Huckleberry shakes because we can't get enough of the stuff when we're visiting Montana. We stopped on our way to Glacier National Park and we're so happy we did! There is not an indoor seating area, but they do have a lovely area in the back with trees/shade and picnic tables. It was a beautiful day, so we enjoyed sitting back there, grabbing a bite, and getting some fresh air! We loved how the menu was set up and you have the ability to kind of mix and match different things. My youngest doesn't eat much, so having the ability to order just a few chicken strips instead of a huge meal was appreciated! There was a great variety of food for everyone in our party, the prices were fair, and the quality was great! Really the only downside was that it's cash only and there was not a bathroom available. Other than that, it was great and we look forward to stopping again next time we're swinging through! read more

Best burger we've had in a loooong time. Beef and bacon cooked perfectly with good amt of sauce and oh those buns! They make this burg a standout; so greasy and don't fall apart! Got the cheese burger and double bacon cheese burger. If your hungry the cheeseburger won't be enough so get the double. Also had a peanut butter shake. Man! So creamy! Highly recommend. On the positive side, the burgers are resonably priced, if small, and arguably the best in town. The shakes are good, and the drive in diner is a fun experience you rarely find anymore. The downside, however, is the wait time. I've been stuck waiting in that parking lot for 20 minutes before my order is even taken, and nigh on an hour before my food made it to the vehicle, which largely defeats the purpose of a drive in, quick good food. Came back to town to eat here! The food was tasty and we were glad we came here. The burgers were piled high with good things and the onion rings were crisp and flavorful. The huckleberry shake and the hot fudge sundae were out of this world. The waitress was prompt and friendly.
