The egg rolls taste old and are very small. 2 for $6. They're prices went up by $2 per item recently. So expect to pay about $20 per person for a meal that we were very unhappy with. I'm all for, and support local businesses, but we will not be ordering from them anymore when passing through. We love Chinese food and have had it all over the US, but this was the worst we ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. Most of it went in the garbage. The only place we found was a little drive up place called Dash inn. this young lady came up to the car took our order and in less then 10 minutes we had our food. the only thing that was missing would be The tray that hooked on the door windows. Our waitress brought the food in a plane white bag. I did not get any shots of the food because I forgot to take pictures of it. As I finished eating I realized I forgot the pictures. Anyone driving through can plainly see that this town is down and out, but they need to find a better way of raising revenue than ripping off travelers. The people working at the Comfort Inn were friendly and helpful. For dinner, one of them recommended Coyote Lanes, the local bowling alley, as "the best place in town." Sadly, he did not warn us about the speed trap that the local sheriff maintains to nick tourists for the impoverished town's coffers. Although I was not speeding (as shown in the attached dash cam video and scrfeenshot), the sheriff ruined our night in Shelby. We travel this route often, and have never been stopped for a traffic violation. We plan to never return to Shelby, and we will let our friends and social media contacts know about this grift.
