Horrible - just take my advice and don't go. They never get an entire order correct, they shielded the meat/cheese area so you can't see what the meats/cheese look like nor can you see if they are putting everything you want on it the way you want it. Our last trip. Didn't get to eat this time. Twice in as many weeks have they been out of main ingredients. Today 5 Dec 20 @ 3:00 they were out of steak For a steak sandwich AND they notified us they were out of BREAD. The steak I can see......maybe. A Sandwich shop out of bread, Wow! Oh well.....I will call Firehouse Subs corporate office and share with them a great location for a new store. At least every time I've been at Firehouse they have their ingredients and bread! I have found every employee at this location to be very friendly. If there is a free person they will step in and help out with the order which so many others do not. The whole place feels clean and smells great. They even inform you of the specials which is nice. I only took one star away because there are a couple of very slow sandwich makers and I e been there a half hour waiting with one person ahead of me. But that's not most of the time. This store has lost so many local customers because of shotty service and food, haven't ate here since last December when I was sold rock hard bread when there was fresh bread being taken out of the oven as she was making mine. If you want something fast, don't go to the Subway in Ellijay. Whenever I go during a prime meal time, they have 1 person making sandwiches and bringing up purchases. Think you'll save the hastle by ordering online? Not so. Lady in line had ordered online but still had to wait for the sandwiches to be made. The onsite manager was there but remained behind the scenes and a 2nd sandwich maker took a break....with 5 people in line. It took 30 minutes from getting in line until I left the store. In addition, the air conditioning was either not working or they were trying to save money. It was 83 in the store based on the thermostat, which the onsite manager uncovered....perhaps thinking the cover was causing the problem. Won't be going back to this Subway. The most unprofessional and unpleasant staff. I placed an online order and when I arrived, the restaurant closing and it was 7:30. The sign on the door states that it was open un 9:00. I was told that I had to contact the manager in order to receive a new order or refund. I have called 6 times and each time I'm told that no one knows who owns the store and no one knows when the manager will be in. I do not live very close to this location so just dropping in is not an option. read more

Subway Elijay Ga. By far the worst Subway ever. Went twice, the first time a young man who seemed high cheated on on the meat on a wrap. The second time the young lady put 4 slices of ham and 2 slices of bacon, even less than the young man. When questioned she adamantly said she was correct and threw on an extra slice of cheese. All other Subways give us 8 slices of meat and 4 slices of bacon. Needless to say we had a huge wrap with nothing in it. Attitudes sucked! Never again will we stop at this Subway. read more

I have always been a big fan of Subway, and this store is clean, and employees very friendly. But today is my last visit until they can get their act together.. The last several times I have been in during the lunch hour, they have had only one employee staffing the store. That employee always works their heart out, but can't keep up with the line that now frequently backs up to the door. I watched a couple of potential customers turn around and walk out when seeing how long the wait would be. Three stars for a great store and franchise.. Two stars off for not being able to staff to meet demand. read more

We visited this location on 3/30/2021 at 5:30pm there were no other customers in the store at that time. We've been to this Subway at 500 Highland Crossing Suit 101, Ellijay GA approximately 3 times in the past 5 years... each time I've given them a NEW CHANCE to impress me or even just do their jobs in a timely, competent and sufficient manner. If I could give them less than 1 star I would... if I could give them a -5 (minus 5) that is what they'd get! Terrible as well as Slow service, sloppiest sandwich and wrap that we've ever had at any subway. First I ordered a footlong italian herb & cheese and a tomato basil wrap...of course they were out of the italian herb & cheese as per usual. So then I asked for a footlong wheat bread... luckily (unfortunately for the next person) I got the last of that bread. The girl started preparing the footlong on wheat... then I realized she had never gotten the wrap out to prepare it so I nicely reminded her, well that brought out an even worse pisspoor attitude. They were out of half of the toppings/veggies that go on the sandwich. I barely got any lettuce on either sandwich because they were almost out of it. The girl that made my wrap obviously has not been taught/trained on how to roll a wrap sandwich, she basically folded it over like a taco. I didn't say anything to her because I didn't want to get yelled at again. The workers do not care about anything and hardly listened to what I was saying or just weren't paying attention to what I was saying. I have had terrible service every time that I have come here. I'm sure that the owner would not approve of this work or if they do then they deserve to go out of business. I wish there was a way to contact them. I/We will never come here again 3 strikes and their out!! I will contact the subway corporate office because they need to know how bad it is. read more

Food is consistent with other Subways, but our location is always understaffed. Contacted Subway corporate who put me in touch with the owner, Ed Singleton. Owners office promised to resolve asked us to stop back in. Went back to find 1 person working. Price is on par with several other local restaurants. Save yourself frustration and go to Shane's, Captain D's, etc. read more

This Subway is unsanitary and the staff is unpleasant. I went on 5/24/19, and the one female working the counter began by telling me how much she "hated" Ellijay, and could not wait to leave. She then would go on to badmouth the citizens of Ellijay in front if myself and another customer. I decided to return to this Subway today (05/25/19), where there was a different female employee working. She took my order and then left my sandwich sitting on the assembly counter while she waited for the male employee to finish making my sandwich. As my sandwich sat on the counter waiting as the male employee finished making the sandwiches for the customers ahead of me, I noticed a large fly crawling around on my sandwich. I then noticed several other flies both on the ground and crawling on the produce and cold cut meats that were left exposed without covering of any sort. I told the female employee that I no longer wished to purchase my sandwich as I had observed a fly crawling around on the sandwich for a prolonged period of time. Her response was to roll her eyes and speak about my comment to the male employee under her breath. She then said that they "can't do nothin about the flies" and offered to make me another sandwich. As the male employee prepared my second sandwich, the flies continued to crawl on the meats, produce and preparation countertops. After several bad experiences with uncleanliness and unprofessional and disrespectful staff, I will not return to this Subway. read more

I don't expect much from a Subway but this place, more specifically the people working there, are pretty terrible. The older lady Diane was pushy, inpatient, and rude. The "manager" on duty was equally unpleasant. They rushed to close our sandwiches before we could get the ingredients out of our mouths. When putting mayo on my sandwich, Diane was moving quickly and skipped the first third of my footling sub. Upon politely asking if she could go back with the mayo she passive aggressively put gobs in the place she had missed. They were moving us along so quickly that they dropped the meat of the guy in front of us, almost dropped the toasting tray, and were running over each other while they made our sandwiches. As we approached check out I was asked if my wife and I were together at which point Diane shouted over my response that we were separate which caused confusion in the later checkout process. While checking out I requested to be allowed to scan the app to get my rewards and was replied to with an impatient sigh and rude demand to wait to put my card in. As we went to our car it became apparent that we'd been holding them up from their smoke breaks when they followed us out the door. So, needless to say, take the 5 extra minutes to go to the Subway inside Walmart next door. It will be well worth saving the frustration of these ladies. read more

Every time I go in the employee (assistant manger) is rude and need to be respectful. I told her many times what I wanted but she kept asking me over and over. It seem like she was on something, the store look cleaned but no the greatest. I will never go back there again. I would rather make my own subs at home. read more
