It's been a one-star experience here for me multiple times. You usually don't get anything even in the ballpark of what you ordered, and they have served me undercooked food before. I don't know why it's so bad. Management will not refund your money. I have complained about bad orders so many times with subpar response from management. They apologize but any kind of refund appears to be out of the question. I understand that one strategy to getting the correct order at Moe's is to walk in and watch the person prepare your food. That said, if I have to walk in, I'd rather go to El Burrito to Go. I wish I could say better because I used to like Moe's a lot many years ago. read more

This was our second time eating at Moe's Southwest Grill, and once again they did not disappoint. Both visits we were greeted as soon as we walked through the door, and the entire restaurant--including the bathrooms--was spotless. We dropped in about 1:30 on Saturday and had the nicest experience. Rosa fixed my chicken bowl and did a great job!! She made sure to drain the beans. There was the right ratio of all food to toppings!! My daughter had the chicken nachos and said they were very yummy too!! We were driving through Jasper/Ellijay on our way to tubing and needed a pit stop to eat. This area is the perfect stop if you need anything before progressing further. They have a Wal-Mart, Longhorns, Zaxbys, Taco Bell, Chic-Fil-A and handful of other places. My son and I were struggling with what to eat and saw the brand new Moes. This Moes is actually really nice. Out of all the Moes I've been to, I'd easily rank it in my top 3. The staff were overzealous to say "Welcome to Moes" whenever the door opened (they even said it to one of their own employees). You could tell they were all new and eager to help the customers out. It's rare you find that, and I hope they keep up the enthusiasm. So, this location was very clean and lots of table options. Comfy booths, family style high-top, or long bench seating. My FAVORITE part of the whole thing was the pre-made salsa containers at the Salsa Bar. So easy to grab and go, instead of having to scoop the salsa yourself like most other Moes. Seems trivial but it makes a huge difference. Please don't stop doing this, and I hope other locations take note. Also liked that they give you your chips in a separate bag (we didn't finish ours so we actually took them with us instead of throwing away what we normally don't eat, was a great snack for later). Also a first for me, they have a lighter and darker chip in the bag. Loved the darker chips. The other part I loved is that their toppings tasted so fresh. The jalapeños were kicking, the grilled onions and peppers were perfect and the pico wasn't runny. They are firing on all cylinders right now. The other part I liked was the new Coke Freestyle machine. My son got a kick out of the ease of use compared to the other ones I've seen. My meal is always the same, a Joey w/ cilantro lime rice, dark meat chicken, grilled peppers/onions, cheese, pico, sour cream, and LOTS of diced jalapeños/cilantro. When you get the same meal at every Moes, you can taste the quality of the ingredients when you venture to new spots. I hope this place keeps up their tradition. Consistent quality. I usually use the app to pre-order which means popping in, grab my order off the shelf and out; order accuracy has been good. On the few occasions I order in store the staff has always been pleasant, efficient, and helpful with questions. I don't eat much fast food, but Moe's LIJ is a go-to. read more

Food was good. The chips were very salty like I like them! The quesadilla's were also good. Our family loves the staff and service was great overall. The staff will welcome you even if you try to sneak in! There is good lighting and an outdoor area for two or more families. Overall our family loves the Ellijay Moe's! read more

Walked in craving Moe's and walked out right away because 2 of the 3 workers preparing food didn't have in a mask. I am a huge long term fan of Moe's. I love their fresh ingredients and great service. This new one doesn't have it quite right yet, but they will get it up to speed. It's a formula flow of great fast food that can't fail. I'll pop in on my next trip and try them again. I was surprised by the drive thru addition. Then disappointed by the kiosk. It was not an easy ordering process. I tried twice and then went inside. It was worth going inside but I was frustrated with the time I wasted at the kiosk. Smiling faces say a lot about a business. My favorite Moe's is in Roswell, Ga. I walk in and these are happy people. Everyone knows my name. Seriously! They also know their role and their value. THIS is what I hope for Ellijay's Moe's. The food is.... okay. But I think they're buying their guacamole from Walmart now, and when the guac is bad you really don't have a good Southwestern experience. If you have to feed people cheaply this might be an alternative to consider. read more

Wow! I forgot how much I love Moes! The drive through touch screen ordering was so smart, and the workers were so helpful! At first, I was a little apprehensive about paying $8 for a bowl, however, it was massive!! I couldn't finish the whole thing in one sitting! I do wish I had a little more queso, but the amount of guacamole was perfect! Love the side of chips of course. My dad was shocked at how big the burrito was. Might be a little pricey for an area that has a lot of places similar, but I do enjoy the food. Love this addition to Ellijay. read more

Came in at 3:30 on a Sunday. We should have looked at the seating area and by appearance walked out... The restaurant was filthy, tables were covered in food, the floors were covered in food, the bathroom was horrendous, then when you went to order, you were forced to get the person, the young boy, to even speak to you. Very rude, actually slammed down the lettuce for the gentleman in front of us on his salad. I am not sure if they were understaffed, or what the excuse was, but there were plenty of workers in the restaurant, the line was extremely slow to get through, took about 20 minutes just to order. Visited once in the dining area; okay but not up to standard. The drive up order experience was horrible and the follow up with staff and management even worse, We called the store and spoke with an employee named Daryl, explaining the problem. Daryl was to have a manager call first thing the next day. Nothing, so called corporate. So far nothing, so guess I will go to the bank and follow up with fraud charges. So first of all we were charged higher prices than posted on their board or website. Second we didn't get what was to be included. Lastly and as unbelievable as this may seem, they actually posted a higher amount on our debit card than our receipt says. Not sure what is going on, but something is wrong in that store. Really bad. We were heading to the building and the young lady ran out to advise us they were out of meat. Totally fine Bc we don't eat it. We got inside and started to order. The young lady who was making our order was very nice. There was cheese in almost every condiment. She didn't change her gloves after touching different items. I don't eat cheese and there were pieces of it in my food. The food was cold and I ended up not eating it Bc I couldn't get all the cheese out of it. The bathroom was nasty. The soap dispenser was sitting on top of the paper towel holder. There was nasty water in the floor. We won't be stopping there again. And I advise the same until they get there issues straightened out. read more

I've never left a negative review. However, today, Moes Ellijay gets my first. I placed an online order and went inside to pick it up, already 20 minutes later than the time it was to be ready. I kindly asked for it, and told them I had small children waiting in the car. I was purposely ignored, and then rudely told there were eight online orders by a lady, who wasn't wearing a mask or gloves. Two people were then served who came in after me. A skinny young boy with glasses then took it upon himself to refuse to bag my order or get my chips. He stood there reading my receipt as an obvious display of defiance. I finally got my order, now over thirty minutes late, and only because I physically reached across the counter to get it. It is the worst service I've ever experienced, and we will never return. read more

Out of the 4 employees we saw, 1 had a mask covering his mouth and nose, 1 covered his mouth, the cashier wore hers like a chin strap and the manager had no mask at all. I stood in line for moes for a year and received it. but let's just say that's the only reason i still come here! the poor kids have no idea what they are doing and i will say that most are kind and you can tell they are trying but some also have a very poor attitude. the problem is management. they have no idea what to do and are trying their hardest but are lost. if the owner and management don't step it up then i do not see this restaurant making it much longer. read more

Moe's can have some good food and I like Moe's Monday. However, this location is fairly terrible and I have not had a problem free visit yet. In general, the wait can be crazy. We waited an hour for our food with only one car ahead of ours in the drive through. On other occassions, they leave out half our order and we did not discover until we got home (30 minutes away). They of course would not apply a credit over the phone. The experience may be different if you are inside, this is how I would normally order from a Moe's. We had to stop going to this location due to consistent problem and a lack of any response when we tried to address. read more

We walked in at 7:59pm one minute from closing. The staff were very accommodating and extremely nice. The food was absolute amazing!

What we REALLY appreciated is the cleanliness and attention to glove wearing. We stopped going to Moe's ever since I had a bad experience at a DIFFERENT location (the cashier touched money then made a customer's burrito with the same gloves). HOWEVER, we were in Ellijay today, and decided to give this Moe's a try. My husband went in first to check the cleanliness. We were impressed! Any time an employee came up to the food area, they put on NEW gloves. An employee stepped to the back to get something, she came back and put new ones on (it's so appreciated because sometimes you don't know what they touched when they leave the room--the trash, their phone, etc. My husband forgot to order beans so he asked for some on the side and the lady put on gloves just to grab the beans. They had 5 staff members present and they were all so nice. The only drawback is, my daughter was given someone else's burrito instead of hers (she asked for tofu, but got chicken...and it had some spicy sauce so she couldn't eat it)--we didn't notice this until after we left and got to the park where we went to have a picnic. But I know mistakes can happen; there was a customer after me whose order probably got pushed forward while they were waiting on my stacker to cook. We left a good tip in the jar for the glove wearing. Again, it is SO appreciated! They have a great score (I think a 96) on their health inspection report, too! We were ignored when we walked in. Finally had to ask if we could order and were told we could only do online or drive thru. So we ordered online and waited outside. Took 30 mins to get our order. Half of it was wrong. They offered no apology or compensation. We were told there were only 3 people and 18 orders. Sounds to me like a management problem, not a customer problem. Also when we picked up they were taking orders inside then. We sat outside to eat and the customer that ordered while we picked up had their food in 15 mins. We will not visit again. read more
