Took my kids there today for a special ice cream treat. Unfortunately there were panhandlers everywhere begging for $$$ for their dance team. I was approached 3 or 4 times and asked for $ during our short visit. I don't carry cash and felt it was rude to be asking for $ so close to Christmas. Also it was not a school sponsored event but a travel dance team. If you can't afford travel dance don't do it. If we can't afford something we don't go. They didn't offer to buy my kids an ice cream! Why should I pay for their kids dance ? Also, these kids were plenty old enough to be working there! Why not get a bucket and a sponge and wash a few cars. I won't be going back on days the panhandlers are there. Also why are teen underage girls shaking their butts in the parking lot by the drive thru with a money bucket? Looked very bad on them! Let's teach girls to have some self respect. read more

MY BREAKFAST SANDWICH HAD HAIR IN IT AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HANDLING IT WAS VERY POOR. For this reason, I do not recommend this place. As far as Fast food is concerned, there is only one titan: Dairy Queen. Very clean and well kept, staff are always on a roll and are super friendly. They wear their uniforms with pride (Closest thing I've seen to military spec.) Their orders are always on point, and are usually steaming hot. They never miss a beat. Good sized parking lot - Small restaurant. Don't bother with McDonald's, nor Burger King. If you want anywhere near decent fast food - Give this Dairy Queen a try, you won't regret it. I really like DQ ice cream but when you get out of your car, you come face to face with the sign near the entry. I really don't care what your opinion is on social and political issues, but this sign is really not welcoming at all. I would think you'd want all the customers you can get without sending this message to your customers. Really bad look for your business. read more

The ice cream is always good! Bonus about going to a franchise. When we went to sit down and wait for the order there were fire ants on the seats and the tables and benches were very very dirty! The place was super chaotic, but I would highly recommend going through the drive thru for your fix. read more

How hard is it to leave off the cool whip on a malt and count to 6 for the chicken strips??? Asked for no whip and got it. Drank it anyway of course and why was it so gritty? Too much powder? Not blended enough? Both? Ordered a 6 piece strip and got 5. And didn't get any gravy. Didn't find that out till got home. At least the Oreo blizzard was good. And ppl in this industry want $15/hr. Nope. Update!!! Sooooooo, to the manager, I did try again and ordered 2 Oreo blizzards. That's it. What did I get? Two m&m blizzards!?!? Now I understand she could've misunderstood what I said so why not have whoever is working the drive thru read back the order to the customer to make sure it is right. I have finally figured it out... The hamburger comes from the old worn out dairy cows. The bonus was that I had a coupon for a buy one get one Blizzard. Awesome! But, I also bought a 1/2 burger meal. Was that really hamburger meat? Just nasty! Is anything cooked fresh here? How long were those patties sitting in the back? The fries weren't any better. Some genius mixed old fries with fresh, so half of the fries were terrible. read more

Ordered the Turkey BLT sandwich (minus the bacon, so, it was really a turkey, lettuce, and tomato sandwich), and wow, was it good! Dairy Queen is famous for its desserts, though they really make a mean sandwich. Their salads are also really tasty as well! The customer service is also great. I have driven right by this Dairy Queen for years. So, I finally decided to try it. I am very glad that I did! read more

Very disappointed in our local DQ. I'm not one to post negative reviews but this has happened one time too many. When you're sick and all you can think to eat is an ice cream blizzard from DQ but what you get is basically milk with toppings it's very aggravating. Order get to the window the flipped the blizzard super fast hand it out the window with ice cream running all down the side of the cup. Hands us no napkins no apologies for the mess or anything. The blizzard cup was filled with liquid ice cream like it had been sitting out for awhile instead of consolidated ice cream straight out of the machine. Tried eating it right away but just was not appetizing because it was liquid. Do better! read more

Food gets a 5 star, the cranky heavyset woman with the bad attitude gets a 1 star. She was inconvenienced when i requested a cloth to wipe a table, and then when we were missing an onion rings, came over to argue with us and pointed out another person's order as having the missing onion rings. We were able to show BOTH receipts and we got the onion rings, but from a very friendly little lady, not the crank. She really should just be in back away from the customers. read more

I went to this Blue Ridge Dairy Queen location on Wednesday for lunch I forgot to write a review about it yesterday.OK this Dairy Queen is the best one in the whole world.It's as big as a Taco Bell and has a Drive Thru.But don't go through the Drive Thru because u have to wait in line for such a long time but if u go inside it's so much better there is barely anyone inside.The guy taking my order who's name was Bob was a very friendly and nice person.I ordered a Cheeseburger with Chicken Fingers,Fries and Onion Rings with a Sprite and a Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream with Rainbow Sprinkles and Nerds.The burgers are delicious at first I just though they were microwaved and not good but if u just look at it in person or take a bite u could taste the deliciousness of the Burger not everybody likes DQ Burgers but I do.The Chicken Fingers are so good,The fries are delicious and the Onion Rings are the best I've ever had in years.The ice cream is good like always that is what Dairy Queen is mostly famous for but if u want to go through the Drive Thru prepare to wait a long line read more
