Good Lord, this place is a complete shit show. Where do I even start.... Out of the five times I have come to this location. There has been an issue every single time. The last time I was given a sandwich on flatbread that was so hard and crunchy and stale that it was completely unedible. I just threw it away. This location is owned and run by foreigners who have no concept of customer service or doing things in a consistent way so that customers know what to expect when they order something. The last few times I have been in they skimp on the ingredients. There is a marked difference in the amount of protein that they use versus other locations nearby in the area. I'm pretty sure they are cheating their customers to be honest. I knew today that I should not go to this location. I warned myself ahead of time to just go a little out of my way over to Scarbrough to get my meal but out of convenience and time sake, I went to this location. So of course, right off the bat, they make my sandwich incorrectly. I ordered a foot-long chicken on flatbread. So instead of placing the ingredients from one end to the other lengthwise, they put all the ingredients width wise. Basically shoving a foot-long's worth of ingredients into 6 inches of space. I hope that gives you a visual and makes sense. I am like "that doesn't look right why are you making it lopsided like that? I ordered a foot-long not a 6 inch". The girl is like "this is the way I was told to make it". And I'm like "well it's the wrong way I would like a foot-long please, and please make sure you're using the right amount of ingredients for a foot-long". Then, the manager/owner walks over and says "no this is fine just folded over like that". So of course the sandwich is way to full because there is a foot-long's worth of ingredients packed into 6 inches of space. Then I have to take charge and say no, please make it the correct way. I just want it the way it supposed to come. Finally, the end result was a sloppy mess with mustard all over the inside and outside of the bread so that I could not pick it up without getting mustard everywhere. The sandwich wasn't cut in half just thrown haphazardly into some wrapping. And that's only after the manager guy actually recommended just spreading everything out over the flatbread and then placing another flatbread on top of it as if I want a gigantic ass sandwich. I'm like, "have you lost your damn mind"? Why would you even suggest that? I swear to god these people are so dumb , I can't. I will never come back. I suggest you don't either. read more

Subway - Waaay too much mustard, complete mess, it's not cut in half these people have no clue how to make a sandwich. - Sandwiches Near Me - Falmouth, Maine

So I know this is a franchise but if they want to stay in business and compete with other chains- they better change their service or they will be out of business. The last two times here- it has been below par. The second to last time, I ordered online- a footlong loaded with veggies to pickup. Got it and opened it at home, protein, cheese, no veggies. Last night I went late- 9 pm closing at 9:30 (allegedly) and most things were already packed up. I asked if they were done and I thought the worker said they have all veggies except lettuce/spinach. So I ordered a footlong steak and cheese and after he toasted it, he said he ONLY had lettuce- NOTHING ELSE. Reluctantly, I said fine, paid and left. Maybe he would have been able to focus if he wasn't on a call with a friend via his AirPods. Also the other worker- maybe owner? was sitting at a table also on his phone on a call and didn't care. Another couple walked in at 9:05 and the worker behind the counter told them they were closed (signs and website says 9:30). Don't waste your time giving them your business, they don't deserve it. No more "3rd chances" for me at least. read more

Was a little hesitant to try this place due to the older reviews; however, have come here quite a few times and the service has always been great and the sandwiches are the same as every other Subway out there. Is this the best looking Subway in the world, no, but let's be realistic. This is Famouth, Maine, not the Upper East Side in New York. I have not noticed any of the issues mentioned in prior reviews except that the entrance in the back is a little awkward. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a Subway that is like 99% of all other Subways, give this place a shot. read more

First of all I've been going to this store off and on for a couple of years now. I work in Portland so I eat here once or twice every other week. Never had an issue and always got good service, until 3 days ago. I almost always buy a wrap and that's what I ordered. Everything went fine, the service was good. Got the wrap back to my place and ate about 3/4 of it and found a hair all tangled in my sandwich! Gross! I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. No manager was working but I was told she'd call me back when she was in. 3 days and nothing. I'm more angry about them not returning my call than I am the sandwich! I guess customers are expendable. To be fair, service for the most part is 4 stars. I'm giving 1 for the hair and no callback! read more

So, I try not to give reviews on some of the larger chains that are out there and to tell the truth, most Subway restaurants are cookie cutter and the same throughout but I had to talk a bit about my last three times here. When you first walk into the establishment you will be littered with flies buzzing around the place. (Now I know that this happens from all of the door opening right next to the food area). The eating area never looks clean and is riddled with pieces of lettuce and veggies and these flies tend to migrate over to the eating area. So, we now grab our sub and run (cheap and right next to our place) The other piece that the wife and I do not enjoy is the rude people that work there. They always look like they are arguing with each other and we walked in on a family squabble. I think that if there was more leadership or management around to keep an eye on things, then this could be a great location right on the outskirts of Falmouth. The only reason that we give it two stars and not one is the fact that they have some really good healthier options for a fair price (but you could of course get that at any subway) I think they need to overhaul the staff here and put some people in there that are happy serving customers and making sandwiches. (I know that might be harder to find but it IS possible). read more

On 10/30, my coworker and I went in to pick up sandwich platters and cookies for the team meeting we were having down the road. I wish I could remember the woman's name (I believe she was the manager?), she was so incredibly thoughtful, professional, and even apologetic as we had to wait a few minutes for our cookies to come out of the oven - but there is never any need to apologize for fresh out of the oven cookies! She handled this situation gracefully and with the help of another employee, carried the platters out to our car. She also had amazing nails, which doesn't have anything to do w/her job, but should be noted. It was a great experience and our team meeting was a great success with fresh sandwiches and warm cookies! read more

I actually am giving this place 2 1/2 stars. I would give it more, but it was embarrassing trying to get into this place! At first I tried the door in the front, and then realized I was walking into a hairdressing salon. Ok...let's go around to the other side! Nope, not there...Let's try the back! Nope, not there...WHERE IS THE DARN ENTRANCE??? So I ask someone that looks like he knows. He answers that the entrance is where the dunkin' donuts sign is. Huh? Apparently, Subway can only afford one sign, so they naturally put it up in the front where passerby can see it. It's a tiny, and I mean TINY place, but generally it is a full service subway otherwise. I don't know if my bread was too fresh (which is odd, because that means I was eating stale bread every other time I have gone to Subway), or what the deal was, but just picking up the bread it fell apart. I would have been ticked off if I was eating meat, but veggies can be easily picked up. All in all the staff was as friendly as they usually are at a subway, and things had the same bland flavor that they usually have, so it wasn't a total bust. read more
