It wasn't terribly long, but it surely wasn't cooking thru. No harm, it wasn't a great wait and the cashier/order person was hustling and seemed competent. I ordered the "usual" for me. Usual meaning when I last ordered from Wendy's not that I've ordered it in the last decade. Anyway, I went for the Jr Bacon Cheeseburger and small chili with cheese & onions. These to got me thru school in the last millennium. It's good to know that the food tastes JUST like it did then, filled me up well and wasn't costing me a lot of moolah. Took me right down memory lane except there was no cute coed with me and I must have gained considerable weight along the way. It was just myself and great food from Wendy's. I was happy for the cheap bite and happy for the fond memories.

There weren't many options until we got closer to Tappahannock, and that's when we decided on NN Burger. We sat outside on the patio, where they also have a TV. We ordered our drinks, which came in small pitchers -- a different approach, though I imagine it might lead to some waste. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries to share, and when it came out, the server had already cut the burger in half and split the fries between two plates, which was a nice touch. The burger was really good, and the fries were just as good. After finishing, we ordered a chocolate shake, and it was excellent. Overall, NN Burger was a great find along our drive.
