I have to laugh at these negative reviews. These are probably the same people that praise bad service and mediocre food downtown. Yes, Subway is a fast food shop, this is true, the price point and coupon options reflect that. But I've honestly gotten more pleasant and professional service at this subway location then most of the sit down restaurants in the area. Its about the people that work there when its fast food. If they make it right, the food is what it is. To say the women at this location are amazing is an understatement. Not to discount any male employees, but I personally came here regularly during afternoon and evening shift for a full year and it was the same staff of women every time for those shifts. And every time they were above and beyond amazing. Even if they were swamped with people in the restaurant AND online orders. Like most fast food places, they can be treated pretty crappy by a lot of customers. I have the unfortunate luck of having witnessed it several times. To which I have always seen them keep there cool and handle the situation appropriately. Im not their manager or owner, I don't see them all the time, but every interaction I have had has always been great. And they actually do make a good sandwich, neat and well put together. They also run very fluidly as a team and get orders out very quickly given the rushes I've seen them get. Not to dog on the guys but when they make my sandwich it can be a bit sloppy and sometimes not cut through. Still good, nothing to get pissy about or anything but noticeable for me, like when my husband makes a sandwich lol. However all of the employees, male or female really remember us and little things like how my son likes sweet tea when its out so they get it made, we cant pick the chips we like on mobile order so they change them out for us automatically or they are out of the cookies my husband likes so they let him change it up. That's pretty nice and technically they really don't have to be that way cause ya know, its just fast food. As far as inside its very clean, they keep the line area clean and stocked that I've noticed. If they run out of an ingredient they have always had backup. The dining room has high cobwebs, but nothing dirty or unclean. Always very clean bathrooms. Overall this is a good subway anytime I have come in. Fresh, clean, fast. Today (11-08-2023) the guy with black hair was making subs very sloppy and the girl with blonde hair was rude and throwing the cheese onto the bar. The bar was absolutely disgusting veggies were all across the bar. NOTHING was wiped down. I understand being busy but when it comes to presentation this location needs a lot of work. They are always very friendly in the store. I've never been delayed by slow service. On the contrary, they are efficient, while being attentive. The location is a bit tricky, as noted by another reviewer, but it's easy enough to reach. The place itself is a bit plain and, while not, dirty, it did seem dated and just passable. Fairly usual subway that is in a small strip mall. There wasn't a ton of seating and the sweet tea is behind the counter while all the other fountain drinks are self serve. The place was very clean in the seating area despite it starting to get busy during lunch. The selection of chips was fairly wide with a few naked lays and even some Sun chips. The place is a little tricky to find as you can't see it from 219. But it's there behind the ruby Tuesday and exon has station. read more

Avoid going here if you can - there's another Subway in Fairlea, don't know if it's any better, but out of all Subways I've been to in my life, the Lewisburg one is the worst. The employees clearly do not care about their jobs or customer satisfaction. Subway is considered a fast food restaurant and there is NOTHING fast about this place. When you walk in, the employees usually do their best to ignore your presence because they don't want to get off of their phones or stop gossiping long enough to do what they're being paid to do. Once someone finally acknowledges you, they will make your sandwich and throw it up on the counter for whoever's ringing you out at the register. The cashier normally takes forever to ring you out, but today's experience was especially terrible. When I got to the register this time, a young female employee (who has always been a nightmare to deal with) completely ignored that I was standing there and started counting the money in the drawer. I stood there for 5-10 minutes while she counted out each denomination and put it into her calculator. Not once did she offer an explanation as to what she was doing, how much longer it was going to take, nor did she apologize for inconveniencing me when I had somewhere to be shortly thereafter (the only reason I opted for "fast" food in the first place). When she finally finished, she continued to neglect my presence and walked away to write out her calculations. At this point, I threw my arms up in exasperation and another employee (the one who made my sandwich) noticed and came over. Did she apologize that her co-worker took forever and wasted my time? Or that she ignored that I was standing there for several minutes? Of course not, that would require giving a crap about the job that you're supposed to be doing. I was about 30 seconds from walking out, sandwich in hand, with no intention of paying...unfortunately, I'm a good person, so I decided not to do that or make a scene. Went through all of that nonsense, ended up showing up late for my appointment - all for a sub-par sandwich. Normally, I would not complain about something like this, but maybe if that Subway loses business, the manager will reconsider his/her staff selections. Additionally, I worked in the food service industry when I was in college, and my boss forbade us from counting the till unless NO customers were present in the restaurant. Starting to count the till as a customer is approaching to check out is not only inconsiderate, but it is downright stupid.
