We drove 2 hours because of reviews we saw online. My hubs ordered the English Dogs and a large onion ring, and I ordered the cheeseburger and a large fry. I'm not sure how small the "small" is if the large was as small as they were. English Dogs were ok, the chocolate milkshake was bland (not much chocolate flavor), and the Hamburger was pretty good. We were disappointed.

    Hot dog, WV style

The place is a Lewisburg icon. It was also on the list of the top 50 hotdogs in WV. Overall, the staff was fantastic. The outdoor seating was plentiful. The hotdogs are fantastic! They just needed a little more toasting on the inside of the bun to make this the best in WV

This is always a must visit spot when I'm visiting family in Lewisburg. The pro's: It's charming, you can eat at your car or on one of the many picnic tables. The burgers, hot dogs (English style!) and fries are always a winning choice. That's really what they do and do well. My Mom had a BLT and she enjoyed that as well. The Caveat: During busy times (think 12-1), the wait is terribly long so don't go expecting to have a quick meal. Be ready to relax, breathe in the mountain air and enjoy a leisurely lunch! Tips: The regular burger is pretty big and filling. Ask for the special of the day - we got a great deal. If you want your drink before your meal, make sure to say so when you order as they bring it out with the food!

No, this car has not been sitting in the same place since 1956!

The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and the food was excellent from start to finish. As a local broker, I see firsthand how important businesses like this are to the fabric of our community. We're incredibly thankful that someone stepped up to purchase this local staple so both residents and visitors can continue enjoying a place that has become such a cherished part of Lewisburg. Congratulations to the new owners, and thank you for preserving a restaurant that means so much to our community. We look forward to many more great meals and memories at Food & Friends!

We were able to get reservations and were seated within a minute of when we arrived. We ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and checked out the menu. Having a larger lunch than we both eat, we settled on two salads: mine was the chicken salad that had fried chicken, cheese and potatoes. My husband ordered the salmon salad. We both also wantee the pasta dishes but kept with the salads! While we waited, we had lovely boule of bread and butter. Service was fabulous and tables are fancy with tablecloths and fresh flowers - so you can dress up or down! Its very quaint inside and has neat little defined seating areas. Slads came out and I laughed as we wanted something on the smaller side and these are not small. They were both fabulous and I couldnt finish mine! We will be back!

The bread was yummy and the shrimp for appetizer. The main dishes we got were the catfish stir fry and lobster tacos. Both delicious! Catfish defo does not have a fishy taste at all. I also got a spritzer drink with Berry purée.

We showed early for our reservation and immediately seated. Menu has changed in last few months so they appear to be constantly improving. Appetizer and salad showed at the same time which I might not have preferred but as we shared 1 app with 2 people and had 2 salads worked. All the serving were tasty. I preferred my salmon and risotto while partner preferred his beef and grits, Caesar salad won over Brussels spout salad. Bottle of Malbec was appropriate to price as was after dinner port. Goat cheese ice cream was divine. Will return for our next visit in August because I love the vibe. Owner check on us twice which says a lot for the "why we go here" place... check it out and if you like the hometown vibe and dinner menu options I think you'll be more than satisfied

Lovely outdor seating area on the porch but we opted for indoor seating in one of the 3 or 4 intimate rooms. Service was great, our waiter very griendly, attenticw and helpful with suggestions, recommendations and specials. After ordering we were each served a couole of pieces of fresh bread with a black and white sea salt. Bread and butter were very good. We had the roasted red pepper and walnut dip served with local crackers and artisan bread. It too was excellent, so tasty. We had a fush of the day, a mild white fish served with new potatoes and green bwans. The fish was tender and light. I opted fir the french onion soup that was such a large crock og soup i had to take over half of it to go. It was steaming hot, toasted cheese on top was wonderful, onions the right crispness and flavorful. I did alsi have the glazed asparagus and fondant potatoes. Asparagus was crisp and lightly seasoned but the fondant potatoes wete nothing special. We had a chocolate mouse fir dessert. I am not a big fan so not my favorite. Expect to pay a bit for the atmosphere and special touches but it was worth it for the good food, great service and memories.
