What a quaint little market and cafe. Wide variety of fresh menu selections. Their Reuben sandwich is phenomenal! If you're doing the south end of New River Gorge NP, def. stop by for lunch or dinner.

16 in. Pepperoni Pizza

The pizza was great. $15 for 16 in. was amazing. My cousin and grandma got the Flagman Club, it tasted great at a low price, great portioning, nothing felt overdone. Market Famous Burger was a huge portion for $13, add-ons were well priced. Service was fantastic, no one was rude and they answered any questions and requests we had quickly and swiftly. The decor and seating were lovely, the paintings on the wall added a nice scenic and human touch. Overall, nothing felt overdone, portions were good, staff were friendly, decor was good. This is a must-try place if you're just coming to visit or if you live near. Would definitely go again!

Great stop for thin crust pizza, we had the mushroom and sausage pizza, 16" plus drinks under $20 and took half of it home with us for later. Service was professional and quick in a nicely appointed dining area suitable for rustic America. Good variety of choices and a daily special ensure patrons can find something for individual choices. Definitely would recommend it, we will come back here when we are in the area.

Super cute market with a great food menu. Very much appreciate that they have gluten free bread, buns and pizza crust. Some cute goodies for sell too including maple syrup and jam. Lots of seating both inside and out.

Hubs and I split a pizza. They were nice to substitute banana peppers for green peppers. For me, SO much more flavorful . They let me sample the blackberry cider, which I really appreciated. We split a container of fresh fruit and a slice of key lime pie (small slice for the . The service was excellent and the facility was laid out a bit quirky, but in a nice way. Comfortable place to chill.

We were in town visiting family and decided to grab lunch at The Market. We got burgers and a garden salad. Salad was fresh and good. Burgers were flavorful but a little too salty for my liking and I like salt! Fries were crispy and seasoned. Next time I would try the pizza. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was nice especially since you could spread out from the main dining room to larger adjacent space at Chessies.

These fries were really good

If you're hiking near the New River Gorge National Park and are hungry, you should give this place a chance. The Market on Courthouse Square is in Hinton, WV. This place has a really nice old small town diner feel to it but with bit of a hipster vibe. I had the "Market Famous Burger" and it was delicious! The burger was perfectly cooked to medium. I was also amazed how the buns didn't get all soggy after a while like many other burger places I've been too. And the fries! They were thick and crispy even after they cooled down. You know how some fries taste good and crispy when they're hot off the fryer but get soggy and lifeless when they cool down? Not these. They were still crispy and good even after they had cooled down. I'm definitely glad I stopped by here to eat lunch and you should too.

Had a delicious salad with amazing ranch dressing outside while waiting for our pizza and enjoying the beautiful Mountain View. They were nice enough to bring our food out to us, since my companion has four paws and could not come inside.

Great restaurant in a sweet small town. Salads were fresh, pizza was to die for....but....the fresh pies served daily are the best!! I would have taken a picture of the coconut cream pie, but we devoured it. Love to visit when we are in town.

Based on a recommendation of a couple we met while out hiking, we stopped on this afternoon to grab a late lunch. So glad we did! The whole town is really cute and this little restaurant fits right in. It has an old town feel but the food is anything but your granny's cooking. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, burgers and pizzas. I wanted something on the lighter side so I ordered the Locomotive Panini. My hubby ordered the reuben. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. My sandwich was everything I wanted! The chicken was cooked well, the panini bread was perfection. Really flavorful sandwich. My husband devoured his reuben. It was stacked high with corned beef. The fries were tasty too. Definitely will stop back in next time we are in the area. If you are nearby, stop in for some good grub!

a sandwich and a salad

This was the only food place open when we were traveling through the area on our way to Sandstone Falls. This place was a pleasant surprise, it had both sandwich options and pizza options. The brick oven pizzas looked delicious but we just didn't want that much food for lunch. I had the chicken salad and a side lunch combo. I really enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich!

Cool dining area!

How on earth anyone could give this place less than five stars I will NEVER KNOW. The wait and cook staff are top notch, the food quality is some of the best I've ever had, and the atmosphere can't be beaten. Look: skip the small talk and get yourself out here. It's absolutely worth driving out to Hinton whether you're semi-local or just want to poke around in a well cared for small town with lots of historic buildings. It's an artsy little place and a real gem.

Aziza Pizza & Subs

Aziza Pizza & Subs

1.0(1 review)

This was pretty bad. I'm still not quite okay. I ate lunch at Aziza Pizza and Subs. I wanted…read moresomething a little different because I always end up at the DQ in Hinton. This place is under new management and it looked like they had good reviews. However, I really wondered when I pulled up and saw only one couple there eating lunch... not to mention the open sign was turned off. I should have trusted my gut. I ordered a cold Italian sub because I was in a hurry. I wasn't a huge fan of the prices. A sub and a drink was $15. Don't even get me started on the prices of calzones!!! At first glance, the sub looked promising. Then, I took a bite. The cheese was old and dried out. It was kind of like when my son forgets to close up the Great Value provolone cheese bag in my fridge, and I don't figure it out for a week... THAT KIND OF HARD. So, I started tearing the cheese off in hopes of salvaging the sandwich. However, then I started noticing the meat didn't quite taste right either. I started looking closer. The meat didn't look too good or fresh. I tried to have an open mind (hoping I was just being over-critical because of the cheese), and I ate almost one half. However, the more I ate, the worse it tasted. I paid for the food and hopped into my car. That's when my stomach started LITERALLY crying out. Those were not happy little gurgles. Those were "you're gonna be hurting in a little bit, little girl" belly roars. Yep, my stomach was so angry, it was threatening me. This is one place I'm gonna remember, but for all of the wrong reasons... whew...
