This particular Waffle House is located just next to a Best Western Plus. So if you're staying in the hotel, it is a very convenient place to grab a meal. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never having a waffle and a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try.

Moruna treated us with kindness and patience for a 5-member group, and not knowing our situation. The cozy environment was perfect for some intimate chat. The food and coffee were excellent, quite possibly the tastiest croissant sandwich I've ever had (ham, swiss, and local figs). I loved it so much I was planning on returning the next day on my drive back to Miami from Tallahassee (sadly not open on Sundays). Moruna was especially sweet to offer us some coffee on the house when she learned of the situation with the funeral and our long drives coming up. I absolutely did not expect this level of service, fantastic options, or tasty food; but our entire party was very impressed and happy for the quiet moment in a long day. No mustard no Mayo, I want it dry. On the first stop, the register clerk caught the preparer making my sandwich on bread and got him to correct it to a wrap. On the second trip, I got the sandwich on the bread and not the wrap I ordered. Oh well, at least bath times, there were no sauces!
