Central Cafe had no flaws that I could find. We walked in and there was 3 groups ahead of us waiting for a table. It still only took about 5 minutes to seat us. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress was amazing. The way everyone performed under extreme pressure from the number of guests was nothing short of impressive. Our food was brought to our tabke in a timely manner. Yesterday, at a time when there were maybe 3 other tables, I waited 40 minutes for my omelet and bacon. The omelet was closer to scrambled eggs, and the bacon so burnt it couldn't be eaten. As a cook, how can you turn this out to be eaten? And as a server, don't you question how terrible it looks and choose not to serve it. Ten years ago, 5 stars... standing alone yesterday I would have given it 3 or 4 and called it a fluke.. Now I am ONLY giving 2 because it holds nostalgia for me. Noted for pizza, they have a large menu of burgers, chicken, sandwiches. Try their pizza buffet on tuesday from 11:30 to 1:30. Very nicely appointed and clean. Adequate parking in their lot.
