They completely messed up my order to the point that I don't even know what kind of sandwich they were trying to make.

Average. New owner tried not except coupons. Little worried about the new ownership but will try it again

I ordered in the app. The app showed that I should get a game piece with my sandwich. When I didn't…read moreget it, they not only wouldn't give me one, the manager said, "I'm not going to argue about it." and walked away. She wouldn't even let me finish. Also the egg in the sandwich was cold.

I'll say this. The sandwich was good. I ordered a double quarter pounder deluxe. It's a unique item…read morethat most McDonald's locations serve. If a location doesn't serve it, I have been told in the past that they can just add the tomato and other items that make it a deluxe to the sandwich. After paying for my order and receiving the sandwich, I realized it was just a regular double quarter pounder. I knocked on the window and the young lady that came to the window listen to me tell her I had the wrong order and I thought I had ordered a double quarter pounder deluxe. I had already taken a bite out of the sandwich and discovered this. When she left, I hadn't eaten all day so I continued, taking a few more bites out of the sandwich. I had eaten about half the sandwich by the time she came back to the window. She offered to take the sandwich back from me and make a whole new one at no cost. I said well here you go and she said she can't take that it's half eaten. I said well yeah it's half eaten. By this time it had already been a few minutes or more. About four or five other McDonald's representatives came to the window to listen in on what was going on. I told her that I didn't think they were gonna take the sandwich back so instead of wasting the food I was just gonna eat it since I was hungry. I had already paid for it. She walked away from the window after I said she was being weird for telling me I shouldn't have eaten the rest of the sandwich. I didn't get any instruction like that when we first spoke. She then said she couldn't help me and somebody else stepped in. I said I just wanted the sandwich that I ordered. I'll pay for it if this is gonna be a big deal. I'm not trying to be a cheapskate. Some other young lady and young man took my phone to pay with Apple Pay and then added my phone back. I paid for the new sandwich and then left. I felt like this was a completely avoidable and ridiculous situation. I don't want anyone to get in trouble, but The young lady offered zero solutions and seemed like they just wanted me to take the sandwich. I already got and move along. Oh, they did offer to put the pickles in mayo in a cup for me. I said I didn't want that. I wanted it on a sandwich. To me all this seems like a reasonable request. I think she just needs more training on how to offer solutions. Not everything has to be an argument.

I did find the bread (I got wheat) a little bit hard after toasting it. Overall, the food was good service was fast and our bellies were full.

Review Visit: September 5th, 2013…read more Potbelly leads to a full belly. Matt, Laura, Tim and I needed a place to go for dinner. I left it to the group to pick the place as I like to take a backseat to having to be the one who always picks. The group ended up picking Potbelly Sandwich Shop as we all hadn't been there before. This was perfect as it was also on my list of places to try out. I don't remember much from this visit but I will try and piece together what I do remember. There was something in the air as I was hungry but nothing at Potbelly ended up sounding like something I was craving. With that in mind, I did end up getting some chili, a bag of chips, and a soda for my meal. Not the entire full experience but since they do specialize in soups as well as other things, I think it counts as trying a place out. The chips were a national brand so those were as delicious as expected. The chili was your standard chili. A little better than normal but seeing as it was your basic chili without any special flavorings, it did it's job. If you look below, you will see a photo of Tim and I. In said photo, I look pissed or upset about something. Looks can be deceiving as this was not the case. Tim and I have known each other since pre-school and have butted heads a million times over the years. But when we butt heads, we do it in a comical way where its not serious. We get all huff-n-puff and argue with each other but it's more entertainment for us than actually arguing. I think maybe we've actually argued less than the number of fingers on our hand (figuring you have all your fingers). I decided to include it just as a fun glimpse at a side of my friendships that no one really gets to see. As for Potbelly, it's a nice place to eat. I would place it in the same class as Panera or Noodles and Company. An upscale subway, if you want to think of it like that. I've been wanting to go back as their menu does look appetizing and they have some sandwiches that are absolutely delicious looking. Funny enough, my sister and I almost came here for her birthday lunch but she ended up opting for Tequila's instead. Someday Potbelly, someday.
