My partner ordered the bison burger because he'd never tried one before. I grew up eating bison and know what a properly cooked bison burger should be like. This one was incredibly dry,far drier than it should have been. Unfortunately, our server disappeared after dropping off the food. She never returned to check whether everything was correct, ask if we needed anything, or see how the meal was. We waited and waited, but she never came back. Eventually my partner went to the bar and asked to speak with the manager. When the manager came to our table, it turned out to be our server. The same server who had ignored us while spending plenty of time chatting and flirting with the table of young men. She approached carrying the check, not asking what the issue was or how she could help. When we explained that the burger was extremely dry, she argued that it didn't look dry to her. I spoke up because I had tried it too, and it absolutely was dry. Then she claimed that bison burgers are *supposed* to be dry. If that's the case, why argue that it wasn't dry in the first place? After a back-and-forth discussion, she finally agreed to let my partner order something else. The bigger issue, though, was the service. In my 50-plus years, this was one of the most unfriendly and unprofessional server/manager interactions I've ever experienced. It takes a lot for me to complain or argue with restaurant staff, but this situation was handled poorly from start to finish. This was our first visit to Khaki Jack's, and unfortunately it will also be our last.

We didn't spend much time inside as we spent more time after lunch talking in the parking lot about random stuff. What I can tell you is that Super Gyros has your typical layout of a McDonald's or Hardees/Carl Jrs. There is a counter with menus up and behind the cashier. They take your order, you get a number, you grab a seat and you either have the food brought out to you or you pick it up at the counter. I am a newbie when it comes to gyros, so I had a hard time deciphering the menu. I settled on a lamb gyro combo. I know soda and I know french fries, but this was my first gyro. We grabbed a table and caught up on times while we waited for our food. It didn't take long as there wasn't too many people ordering food. I actually never see more than 1-2 people ordering from here at a time, so I am surprised it is still in busy as of late 2020. But, it's good to see they are still open. Back on track. After 10 minutes, all three of us had our food out in front of us and I was staring at my gyro like a deer in headlights. I didn't know if I should roll it up like a burrito to eat or fold it in half like a taco. I think I did a half-hearted burrito roll that left more of it on the wax paper than in my mouth. I tell you what... for never having a gyro nor lamb before, this was fantastic. The gyro wrap itself was thicker than a tortilla shell but not impossibly too thick to enjoy. It complimented the meat and toppings well. It sparked a small love in me for gyros that I didn't know was there. Going back to these niche places is hard for me for whatever reason. I've been by this place a million times in the following years but never had I returned, either solo or with someone. Maybe someday I will get to experience it again and all the other places I've been that haven't gotten a second visit.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Service & Inconvenient Resolution…read more I placed a pickup order from Washington Family Restaurant and included two to-go orange juices. When I called to check on the timing, they told me I could come in right away. However, when I arrived, my order hadn't even been started, and I had to wait about 10 minutes. While I was waiting I watched the waitresses repeatedly drop menus on the floor, pick them up and put them right back into circulation, I did not see anyone wash their hands even once during the course of this. Once I finally got home, I realized my two orange juices were missing. I called the restaurant, and they confirmed I had been charged for them but didn't receive them. Instead of offering a refund over the phone (even though I paid with a card in person), they told me the *only* way to get my money back was to drive back to the restaurant. This completely defeats the purpose of ordering takeout in the first place. Mistakes happen, but the way businesses handle them matters. Expecting a customer to go out of their way to fix *their* error--on their own time and gas money--is just bad customer service. A simple remote refund or a credit for a future visit would have been reasonable. Unfortunately, their unwillingness to provide a convenient solution makes me question whether I'll return.
