I understand stores can be independently owned, but refusing corporate promotions across multiple visits feels misleading and frustrating as a customer of Subway. More concerning is the way the owners treat customers. On more than one occasion, they have come across as rude and dismissive, which makes the experience uncomfortable. The employees themselves are generally polite, but the attitude from ownership reflects poorly on the entire location. On top of that, the quality of the food has declined. The ingredients don't seem as fresh, and the overall experience just isn't what it used to be. This has been a consistent issue over several months, not just a one-time visit. I hope something is done to improve both customer service and overall standards at these locations.

We parked, and I excitedly pointed out the sign near the entrance that they have a lunch buffet. Upon entering, we waited at the "please wait to be seated sign", while observing the environment. The dining room was relatively small and on the dark side, with only one family seated but not yet eating. There was a small salad bar, with only a few salad ingredients. We didn't see any pizza on a buffet. A delivery driver came in to pick up some pizzas for delivery. We were largely ignored for a few minutes. My husband called out to a worker behind the counter, and she informed us that she was understaffed and didn't have wait staff hence was only offering pizzas for takeout. She informed us that the sit-down part of the restaurant was closed. This came as a surprise too to the family already seated. We were traveling and didn't want to eat in the car so we left, as did the other family. There are a few small things that could've made this a more agreeable situation. They could've offered to make a take-out pizza that we could pick up at the counter but eat at one of their tables. At a minimum, they could've had a sign on the door that it was take-out only rather than ignoring us after we already entered.
