The restaurant is huge. There is a full bar with seating. There are a couple of televisions above the bar to watch. There is also a decent-sized dining are in the bar area and a larger, separate dining area just off of the dining area. The staff there were friendly. This pub has a country, downhome feel. They serve pub style food, including steaks, burgers, salads, soups, fish, tenderloins, wings, pasta, fish and chips and meatloaf. Additionally, they have a full-service bar with signature cocktails. Be on the lookout for their daily specials. I got me a Popper Burger with a side of fries. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food, and it was very delicious. It was fresh, hot and flavorful. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem. They have some savory drinks and delicious food.

My family was making a trip from Indianapolis to Michigan so we added this restaurant as a stop on the way back since it's conveniently located just a few minutes off of l-65. It looked small at first but there's actually two dining rooms in addition to the really long bar area. My mom of course got the obligatory breaded tenderloin since we are in Indiana. The size was perfect (the size of two sandwiches and not the size of a whole dinner plate) and thought it was delicious. My brother enjoyed and promptly wolfed down his loaded Mac and cheese. I opted for the loaded fries since they were smothered in pulled pork, beer cheese, and fresh jalapeños. The accompanying cole slaw was delicious, but very sweet. The pulled pork was super tender and delicious. It was good, but honestly the best bite I had was the tomato I stole off my mom's tenderloin. It was the freshest tomato I've had in probably years. All of the food is grown on the owner's family farm in the nearby town of Reynolds which I'm assuming is a big part of their recent recognition. It was fairly busy on a Friday around noon. There were a few groups of people in on their lunch break and a few families. They also had several online orders as well. The servers were friendly and quick.

Lobster quesadilla! Yes, please! Lobster quesadillas in a quaint little town-I'm impressed! The flavor of this did not disappoint either. It was very tasty! At first glance, I was concerned because the filling was very minimal. It was very very flavorful and definitely enough lobster filling. The pico was extremely fresh and I've enjoyed having the peppers and jalapeños in it. it was not too spicy, it was just right. I also did the up charge and got the Tom Thai soup. They asked if I wanted crackers or bread. I was thinking is that a question? I very cheerfully stated, "I will take the bread!" Even though the bread did not have a lot of flavor, it was fresh, warm and very comforting to eat. This will definitely be a new place I will be stopping at any time I'm in the area. The only reason for the four star is, I also ordered an unsweet tea and they forgot to put it in my bag. (All drinks are bottled-no fountain drinks) therefore, I had to turn around and go back and get it. Thankfully, I was only a few blocks away when I noticed it was not in my bag.

Next time I was there. It was a little expensive, but worth the trip if you don't take The trip to Chicago often from indy. I also got the ice cream, chocolate, ice cream, specifically, and thought it was delicious too. I've had better ice cream, but dairy farms, always take a step above the franchise ice cream business. On the inside of the café, they have a glass window where you can see the people preparing cheese. Well not much was happening when I was there, it's a super unique idea. Don't plan to come back by myself, would come back with my girlfriend next time we're driving up to Chicago!

The Cowfe (a portmanteau of "cow" and "cafe," if you will) is located on the outskirts of the farm and specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches. But it also offers soups, salads, turkey wraps, yogurt parfaits, and lots more. There's also an ice cream shop inside this cafe, so you can grab a scoop after you've finished lunch or dinner. This restaurant is very kid friendly, and they have a kids' menu here -- mostly cheese-forward mains like grilled cheese sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, and cheese quesadillas, but also a pb&j for kids who aren't into all of that lactose. My kids got a grilled cheese sandwich and complained that it was too cheesy. There did seem to be a lot of cheese! This is a cheesy place, for sure. As for my adult meal, I got half of a grilled cheese, but it was "deluxe" because it was made with Swiss, havarti and cheddar. But it seemed like it was assembled with the ends of the loaf of bread because the slices were drastically different sizes and all askew. My half sandwich was accompanied by a cup of the soup of the day, which I believe was minestrone. The food was a'ight but the prices are a bit on the high side for what you get (almost $10 for a sandwich without a protein). I would have liked the grilled cheese sandwiches to be more grilled -- ours were just lightly toasted and more buttery than anything. This place was super busy when we visited on a weekday, and we were lucky to snatch up a table. I can imagine that it gets even more busy on the weekends.
