Well... over the last few years I've given this place many, many chances, as I know we ALL have…read moresome NOT so good days. However, this particular location has messed up my orders in the past far more times than they have ever gotten them right (sometimes even again when going back to get it corrected), and I would be my usual cheerful, unfailingly polite self every time this happened. (There is no need to be rude or worse when anything like this happens. What does that get you, other than a bad reputation and high blood pressure?) I would just not go back for a long period of time, but I WOULD report the incident (with pics) to my dear friend ("adopted brother") of over 30 years who has been with Wendy's for over 40 years... and he'd say "No one treats my Sis like that! Send me the store number with the manager's name from the receipt so I can let them know that corporate doesn't find this acceptable." (My neighbors had also had problems) Anywho... this last visit, around lunchtime, I decided to break protocol again and (1) eat fast food, and (2) eat a ridiculous amount of carbs. I got one of their Bacon Double Stacks and a Bacon Cheese Baked Potato... mega calories and carbs, but hey! I just got diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer, so I was gonna treat myself! Be the pig!!! (Oink oink... LOL) The drive-through line was long as it was the noon hour, so I donned my Jack Skellington mask I had made, and went into the place. I was the only one willing to get out of my car... but whatevs... and went to the counter. Heard a voice say "Please wait, I'll be there in a minute" and I replied "That's fine. I can see you're busy!" A couple of minutes later a young girl came to the counter, mask UNDER her nose, said... "Do you know what you want?" Alrighty then... not "What could I get you today, or "Do you need a moment to decide"... just that blunt statement like I was wasting her time by being there. Wow. Moving on, I just smized, as you can't see the smile under my mask and placed my order... after which she asked if I had a name (so many unspoken snarky answers came to mind) to go on the order, but I gave her my usual *Tish* ... I paid and she disappeared. *POOF* I see a blue haired gal approach the counter with my bag. She hands it to me, I say thank you, and she just turns her back and walks off. Okey dokey. Deja vu all over again... *shrugs* My big gripe is that although every employee I could see DID have a mask on... and every single employee WORE THEM UNDER THEIR NOSE!!! (This too, has gone to Bro... as it's a violation of what the company wants) Got home and opened the bag... looked at the receipt and it shows "DINE IN" when I clearly said "TAKE OUT"... but the burger looks good for once! I give it an A- as it's skimpy on the onion and condiments, but I have those here, and I open the baked potato container... and I'm "Wait... what?" I don't think I've ever seen a bacon cheese baked potato look like this before... (see before and after pics) as it was quartered (?) and had whole slices of bacon on it... instead of bacon bits. I had bacon bits (salads need'em) so I could fix if with some butter and those, as I wasn't going to make cheese sauce and have to reheat the burger. They get a B- on that, and I just put the whole bacon I removed on the burger... because... BACON!!! The crew gets a C- because I'm not going to fail them. They showed up, someone made me a pretty decent brunch. Yes, they need to follow mask protocols... and they certainly need lessons in simple manners. Thursday might have been a hard day. They could have had mean/rude breakfast customers. One never knows. I'll never stop being sweet and polite no matter how someone treats me when I walk through their door, but I might not go back if it happens again the second time...

Something said to stop, so I did. Really glad I did as I'm sure I'd be much sicker than I am. I checked the rest of the chicken and it's cooked all the way through... no pink spots. Not sure what the culprit is that made me so ill, but it's something in the meal. I'm not going back there. Although I've had wonderful meals at the Murfreesboro location, I am swearing off Popeyes for life. The generous three stars are for the sweet people who work there. I stop at the drive through speaker and a voice says "Just pull up to the window" and I thought "Okey dokey..." and did just that, although I was a bit confused. Getting to the window a sweet young lady was saying to someone that they told the wrong person to pull up to the window before she turned to me laughing. I'm cracking up as she says "Hi! It's okay as we know what you want!" I'm dying laughing and said "Great! You've already got my two chicken biscuits ready then, right?" She's looking at me with such a grateful face that I'm not upset, the people behind her are scrambling to get my order IMMEDIATELY, and in no time flat I have my order as we're joshing back and forth. I totally enjoyed my short time at the drive through, and the psychic chicken and biscuits were AWESOME! The pieces of chicken breast were HUGE, fried to perfection, and the biscuits put Hardee's to shame. It's also so much easier to get in and out of than Hardee's is... especially since whoever did the redesign and rebuild there. (Being a retired contractor all I'm gonna say is the architect had to be on mind altering drugs as it's a horrible mess trying to get in and out of that place... the parking and drive through leave me speechless.) I've gotta go back when I have enough calories in reserve so I can chow down on more of their goodlicious food... right now I have a really happy belly and couldn't even finish the two chicken and biscuits I ordered when I thought I was starving!
