Today's sweet potato and Gorgonzola tacos were the best they've ever been. I hope the chef continues to make them exactly like this as they were not greasy, stuffed completely, and the sweet potatoes were exquisitely tender. We hope the consistency of these tacos continue. We wish they had an impossible burger as on Thursdays they have burger night, but I do not prefer black bean vegetarian burgers. We are vegetarian and always looking for food options in the area. We would love to suggest other tasty vegetarian creations to be added to the menu. Bar type seating available, they do not sell liquor. Tables clean and evenly spaced. Pretty much EVERYTHING is homemade with #TheMom's famous recipes! The kibbeh, was amazing. It's def an acquired taste; I got turned on to it by my Lebanese grade school buddies; this was phenomenal. Huge serving; I have plenty for tomorrow and Saturday. I typically don't care for the pickled turnips, but after tasting these, my mind was changed. Not sure what it was, but they were way better than what I've had in the past, (from Nashville to Chicago, bar none). The garlic dip was pungent and tasty-a perfect cold weather food. The pita was very light and thin. (I honestly don't do gluten, so that was a huge perk for me.) I asked about Med/Turkish coffee; they do not have it BUT, the Lebanese tea, Shanna suggested was deelish! Brewed individually. It went especially well with the baklava that I couldn't leave without trying. If you want the real deal- this is it. If you want nice people, they have that as well. Andy, one of the proprieters, agreed Shanna is THE best server, hooman, resource AND her printing is unbelievable (Mother Theresa, check the manuscript on chalkboard when you walk in)! I'll be back. We decided to try the fried gnocchi appetizer, which was actually very delicious and hot. Unfortunately, the ravioli came and it just felt like it was reheated. The sauce was not hot, the ravioli seemed made from frozen and was barely lukewarm and we just didn't feel comfortable eating it for food safety reasons. We sent it back, but there was no other menu item in which we wanted to try because they already have very limited vegetarian options. They got rid of most of their flatbread pizzas, which they call padinas and now make them with a tortilla crust. That just did not sound appetizing so we ended up just finishing our appetizer and salad and we left. The overall vibe of this restaurant is good and has nice decor and a very intimate space. I don't think we'd come back for the food but the wine here is pretty good. Very sad as we feel they have gone downhill since their start. Might be a while before we return.
