Really nice smaller town market. Lots of higher quality and harder to find items. Great produce and meat/deli departments. Prices may be a tad higher. You do get a better selection however. Expensive. They don't post cost of donuts by donut case. I've brought this to their attention multiple times. Just get lip service. The chicken pot pies need to have some chicken in them...more than a couple slivers & more gravy, they are mostly crust. Fried chicken breast is very good, crunchy & very juicy, they do an excellent job on that. Vegetable selection is always fresh unlike Meijers but again, it's a bit pricey. Nice assortment of fresh meats $$. They carry a large variety of hard to find items. Very friendly & helpful employees. Store is always clean & well stocked. If they had more competitive prices I would shop there more often. As it is, I only go there for a few needed items. read more

I absolutely love neimans. They could be a little cheaper in price, but the people are awesome and they're reward. System is cool. I live in St. clair clair so it's the only grocery store, but they are really good people there and always happy to help. read more

I have to say that this place is spectacular! It's kind of a specialty grocery store, Kroger, and the IGA you grew up with all rolled into one. It has a much more complete inventory than the small specialty markets that you might run into. But it also has a pretty good selection of local products. It has a small meat case but really good looking cuts are displayed. There is even a café in the front where you can grab lunch. The place is clean and very personable. I love the familiar faces and great customer service at Neiman's. I've known Kathy most of my life and she is a great person and an excellent manager. The store is always clean and full of unique finds while still having everything I need. Food prices are higher than the big box stores, sometimes significantly but there are also lots of great deals if you watch the ads and their rewards program is free and well worth it. read more

Prices can be a little high compared to larger chain stores, but their selection is pretty decent and it's close and convenient. I go here often just so I don't have to drive farther away and they have a pretty good selection of organic and health foods. read more

It's really the only place in St Clair to get groceries, however I'll usually opt for Kroger, Meijer, or anywhere else if I can.

My main question about this store is how do they have such a large selection of products with such a relatively low traffic. If you go to Kroger in Richmond, it is always packed with probably the same or a little less of a selection. I do not understand how Neiman's abides by FDA regulation without losing a significant amount of money on waste. I have bought products from this store that were shady. A couple days ago I bought nutty coleslaw. I have it to my kids tonight and my son started acting like he was going to vomit. I thought he was just being picky. I tried to eat the coleslaw and it tasted rotten. I have taken my chances with the seafood as well. There is a sign behind the deli that says a special they have everyday. The Sunday's it says chicken special so I asked the deli attendant what the chicken special was. He informed me that the sign was just there for looks and there is no special on Sunday's. The selection is nice, I just can't help but questions some Went back again. My mistake. Every time I go in this place it is a comical adventure. This time I asked the meat manager if there were any good cuts of meat on sale. These meat managers at Neiman's are worked up individuals. Usually when I ask them any sort of question their veins pop out of their heads and immediate you can feel the flight or fight mechanism kick in. These guys are so unprofessional. So after the meat manager calmed down for me having the audacity to ask any sort of question he says to "follow him!" So he leads me to this meat that was on sale because it was getting old. I said ok thank you, but this is select meat and I prefer choice. The meat manager then got all worked up again, I could tell because that vein started bulging in his head again and his chest puffed out much akin to some sort of animal getting ready to fight. He tells me "this is choice meat! ". Pretty much yelling at me as he said it. I gathered up the nerve to ask him why choice meat would be marked as select? He proceeded to tell me as spit was flying from his mouth as he was yelling, "WE DONT HAVE SELECT LABELS!!!!!!" I said ok and bought the meat as my main concern was not getting punched in the face by this meat head from the meat department. I got home and opened the package. The meat was brown and smelled like that of dirty mop bucket water. I was extremely hungry so I took the gamble and ate it anyways. 2 hours after eating I found myself in the bathroom with food poisoning. As I write this length review I am still in the bathroom. They say fool me once shame on you. Fool my twice shame on me. This will be the last time I let Neiman's get the best of me. read more

I saw the sign outside, "The Bagel Stop", expecting a little bagel shop in this strip mall. Rather, it is a little eatery inside the front of a full-service grocery store. My review will cover just the Bagel Stop portion of the store, as I did not venture any further inside. I walked in and looked at the great selection of bagels they had in the display cases. They all looked delicious and I had a hard time making up my mind. I was really hoping for a bagel and soup lunch, so I needed to see if they might have soup, as well. Turning around, I saw fresh made sandwiches, breakfast bagels and the like. I picked out a fresh made breakfast bagel in the display case cooler. I spotted their soup station adjacent to the cooler and they had 3 soups to choose from - my choice, a large bowl of mushroom soup. I paid right there at a convenient kiosk-type cashier station. There were several high top tables near the cashier, as well as a high counter at the window overlooking the parking lot. With a nice view on a sunny spring afternoon, I sat at the window to enjoy my time. My ala cart meal was very good. The cheesy bagel was filled with scrambled egg, ham and cheese. My steaming hot mushroom soup had an abundance of sliced mushrooms, with a good flavor. What a nice change from the fast food and chain restaurants that typically pull people in at the noon meal. I'm glad I found them! read more

have yet to see a more expensive "so called" Market in all my life. Prices are easily 20% higher than any place else in the area. The Deli workers are lazy and uninformed, they NEVER have ANYTHING in stock, and the management is very rude. They routinely sell products that are expired at full price, their meat department has horrible products, the pot pies they sell at the Deli routinely have almost nothing in them, the Bakery could not make a descent Bagel to save their lives, IT IS LITERALLY LIKE SHOPPING IN THE WORLDS BIGGEST PARTY STORE! Stay away, go ANYWHERE ELSE! Their ONLY redeeming quality is their cashiers, but even the cashiers will bag lettuce with raw meat. Just poorly trained. But they are polite. read more

Such a cute quaint small town grocery store with a lot of options. An amazing salad bar love how I can make my own peanut butter. They have products that are exclusive to that area, like the milk and eggs are from Farmers right in that area. The remodel is amazing. The cuts of beef and chicken are Great cuts. Excellent selection of lean cuts of meat, Amish chicken and Boars Head deli products. Bagels, cookies, cakes, breads and doughnuts are better then anybody's in Saint Clair county. Achahtz pies and soups are readily available in good selection. Great selection of Michigan craft beers. There are none of those lousy self serve checkouts like Meijer's. New customer reward card program is a big plus. I love Neimans. read more

I am a great fan of this store. The employees are extremely helpful. They will even help you put your items in your car if you want. This store is a blessing for the seniors in the area.If you haven't tried their donuts you are missing a REAL treat. The deli (WOW) is all I can say. I have heard some say that the prices are high but by the time you travel somewhere else you spent more on gas than what you would have saved. They also offer FREE coffee at the front door and it is pretty good coffee. I would like to thank all the employees for all they do. There is a huge variety of items in the store and if you don't see what you want just ask and if they don't have it they will order it for you if they can. There has been a couple times that they special ordered stuff for me (and they didn't charge extra). They are a great bunch of people and they care about their customers. I have been going there ever since they opened and will remain a steady customer. I think that I could write a book on them and all the nice things I have seen them do for people.
