The staff was nice and sang well (as they sang with the videos on the screen). Oh, by the way, don't forget to visit the gift shop on the 3rd floor. We almost missed it as there was no obvious signage directing us there. BUT, we found it and are a few dollars poorer as my wife loves her new, "Fancy" T-shirt! She found the 3rd floor!!!

When we were first seated, the table wasn't clean. When my sister politely mentioned it, the waitress seemed more defensive than apologetic and moved us to an even more uncomfortable table. Service overall was very slow, especially considering they were not busy. It took a long time just to get drinks, my tea was never offered a refill, and my mom was brought the completely wrong meal -- she ordered a chicken sandwich and received a hamburger instead. The food itself was honestly pretty disappointing for the cost. Ralph and I both ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was around $27 each, and it came out cold. The green beans were cold too and honestly not good at all. Overall, the food felt very average and definitely not worth the price point. The one highlight was the famous quail poppers -- those were actually really good and probably the best thing we had all night. Sadly, after all four of us talked about it afterward, we agreed the experience was maybe a 3 out of 5 at best, and that's being generous. We really wanted to love it, but it just fell short in both service and food quality.

We had to try it! We both had the steaks, my wife having the ribeye and I had the New York strip. We both had the fully loaded sweet potato. I had the salad bar and she had the corn. Everything was incredibly tasty. The owner was very friendly unhelpful and it was fun to read up on the history of the railroad car. If we are ever back in the area, it is definitely on our list of places to visit again.

It provides an unique environment with a folksy vibe. The railroad car does not look as clean and crisp as their web page photo and it's been painted what appears to be a dark burgundy. It was dark and raining so it's hard to say on the color. Inside is cozy and comfortable. It's a neat venue. The menu consists of typical American comfort food, at least for the south. Three of us us ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and fried okra. The outlier ordered fried chicken livers with French fries and fried okra. All four of us were pleased with our meals. The chicken fry was good as were the potatoes and cream gravey. The fried okra was excellent. The chicken livers were excellent and begged for mashed potatoes and cream gravey. The French fries Ken ordered weren't very good. I think they were under cooked. We had a nice, enjoyable dinner. The service was excellent and the prices moderate

Where is one to begin when describing a trip to one of the greatest and most storied rapid food…read morefranchises in all of America? My experience begin the moment that I rolled into the parking lot. As I approach the door I was greeted with a very chic and modern interior that speaks well of not only the restaurant but of the town that it is in. As soon as I crossed into the threshold of the eatery my nostrils were set a flame with the delicious smells of various meats vegetables and other fresh ingredients imported from various exotic locations, it was a beautiful moment. After pondering over their extensive menu and making my careful selection I approached the counter. The friendly woman working behind the cash register took my order; a double cheeseburger plain and dry, a large fry, and a large Dr Pepper to wash it down. With my order placed I took a seat in one of the comfortable boots, taking the moment to savor the tasteful decorations, listening to the elegant music selections, and even enjoying my fair share of the complementary Wi-Fi. But alas of those corporeal distractions mattered but none when as if by angels, my food was delivered to my table. I took a bite of the cheeseburger the juices so mouthwatering in the spices so vivid, it was truly a treat. That magnificent burger was beautifully complemented by a large serving of thin but not too thin, crunchy but not too crunchy, salty but not too salty french fries. All of this was aided into my digestive system with a large Dr Pepper, truly delightful. In conclusion while a McDonald's may not be a very rare sight, one of this magnitude however should be cherished and visited by many. My brief existence in this realm of bliss and happiness came to an end all too soon, but as I walked back through the parking lot to my 1992 Geo Metro the only thought on my mind was when will I return again. So my friends reading this review I will leave you with this, choose bliss, choose happiness, choose satisfactory, choose Highway 71 McDonald's in Mena Arkansas.
