After finally completing the order and being given a total, I attempted to pay with my debit card. I was then told, "the card reader doesn't work." I asked whether credit or tap-to-pay would work and was given the same vague response. When I asked directly if the location was cash-only, the employee did not answer and instead stared at me without any clarification. At no point was the situation explained, nor was an alternative offered. This level of poor communication, lack of professionalism, and disregard for the customer experience is unacceptable. The issue was not the wait or a system problem--it was the inability or unwillingness to clearly communicate basic information. Management should be aware that this interaction reflects poor accountability, and customer service oversight, especially during evening hours. This experience was frustrating, avoidable, and left a disappointing impression.
