Found this spot by chance and it ended up being an excellent choice. Their burgers are a good size and their fries do not disappoint either. Think In-N-Out but bigger portions. Their customer service is also far better than most other places I've been too. The lady at the register is really nice and welcoming. The most overrated Yelp find I've had in a while. Very generic retro burger place. Burgers were underwhelming in size and quality, produce plentiful (to compensate for the lack of beef probably) but not quite ripe. Generic shoestring fries and off brand ketchup.... Double burger, small fries and medium shake For $24. Then they charged me a quarter for water for the dog when it was 85 degrees out. Skip it. My husband & son got grilled chicken sandwiches, they said they were good. We shared curly fries, tasty and crisp. They also had milkshakes which were thick and delicious. Long time iconic Yakima drive through with a well-deserved cult following. When I'm craving a burger and a side of fries, this has been my go to. Yeah the service is quick and all the workers are exceptionally friendly. One thing I've always been impressed about is how clean their kitchen looks from the outside. A perfect place to pull off on the way back/to camping! There was a group of 6 of us and 3 dogs and it was perfect to order at the drive thru window and then park and let the dogs hang out in the grass while we ate at the ideally places picnic benches. I got a grilled cheese while husband got a Texas burger and we shared curly fries with "fry sauce". It was so yummy! It is surprisingly easy to mess up a simple grilled cheese (undercooked bread, cheese isn't melted, soggy, etc) but mine was literally perfect. The curly fries were more on the mushy side then the crispy side which I LOVE so that worked well for me. Husband loved his burger and almost got a second one LOL until I refused this act of pure gluttony. Hehe. A couple people got butterscotch milkshakes and enjoyed them a lot. It's a bit embarrassing that I have lived in the area for the majority of my life and it took me until the age of 35 to finally find stop and go! This place is an absolute treasure in the area and apparently has been so for a long time! Situated in a small log cabin lake building off of fruitvale boulevard, they specialize in burgers, fries and ice cream. We found that the shakes are bad either! Texas Burger is their version of a deluxe burger and a number of other renditions are available. We shared a Texas with bacon boy howdy was that thing delicious! Definitely not the prettiest burger that we've ever seen, the flavor wise they hit it right on the head. Plenty of veggies, actual legit bacon - which was a big selling point for us - and some good cheese. It wasn't circus big but was big enough for two of us to split and before. Admittedly, we also shared a curly fry and a shake. The curly fries were as good as you remember your mom getting from Arby's in the shake - which my wife concocted- Was delicious. The cookies and cream shake with a chocolate ice cream base was brilliant! It was one of those things that both of us said, "Hey why haven't we done this before?" It may have been how the first person to put bacon on the burger felt! Another thing that was really fun about this place, though admittedly only in the summer, was the picnic bench seating. We sat down to eat and both of us commented on how it felt like we were on a road trip or camping somewhere. The tables are situated in a Park just to the side of the restaurant and there are tables for 25 or 30 people. There's also a birdbath in the middle, which interestingly made for some very pleasant birds hanging around. It may have simply been that they were excited about the curly fry leavings that fell out of my mouth as I was trying to devour them, But I like to think it was because they were happy to sing and provide entertainment while we dined outside. I truly feel bad that it took so long to figure out where this places. It's not an every day spot, but it's a really solid spot that should be visited on a regular basis! read more

I had two cheeseburger and a chocolate malt. The burgers are in the top 3 best burgers I've ever had. They have that undefinable flavor of an old school grilled burger, Umami maybe, but rich and beefy with a perfect texture. The malt was spectacular too. I'll definitely be back. read more

Original 50s retro style drive inn with walk up window to order and a separate drive through window. Out front up top is a very cool nostalgic Pepsi Cola sign. The deluxe cheeseburger was prepared well with fresh bun, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and beef that had that special flattop char that these old burger stands know how to serve. Packaged in a paper bag with the rare ruffled paper drip catcher that allows you to enjoy the melted cheese and salad that escaped the burger while eating. The generous portion of thin cut fries were salted perfectly and paired well with the traditional fry sauce that stirred memories of eating at Arctic Circle in years past. All in all, the perfect lunch that I enjoyed eating outside on a sunny fall day at a spotless picnic table amongst the mature trees. The Texas burger with American cheese, regular fry and drink meal total was $10.55 with tax. Not a cheap lunch, but a good meal! Solid 4 star place. To earn that fifth star would require cheddar cheese and toasted buns so they hold everything firmly together. The meal I enjoyed met all of my expectations and would recommend it as a cut above the national chains offerings. read more

The service is friendly and prompt, the hamburgers, in my opinion are the best in Yakima, the prices are fair AND if you get there on a nice weekend summer evening, you get to see alot of vintique cars.
