Took care of my tag and title after getting my new PA license. The go-to place next to the DMV was abruptly closed right when I was about to enter and the security guard told me about Success Driving School as an issuer of car registrations etc. Only took a few moments and they were very nice and professional. My understanding is that they charge $15 ish more than competitors but they have a notary and other items on site and you don't have to wait hours and hours. Would def go back. read more

The instructor that I had spoke Chinese only and was impatience and a little rude. It was my first time behind the wheel and I was nervous. The instructor made me even more anxious. I had two lessons with them and I'm not going back. First lesson was in a parking lot. He showed me which one is left & right turn signals, windshield wipers, etc. which took about an hour then driving on the road for 30 minutes. The second lesson was driving on the roads for 90 minutes and nothing else (when making turns, the instructor controls it, you don't get to make turns) During my first and second lessons, I went across the line a few times and he got upset and blamed at me every time. He said to me in Chinese in an annoyed tone, "You see, you went across the line again, I don't even know what you're thinking in your mind." If I had the experience and knew how to drive, what's the point of paying $93 for 90 minutes?? They also want to make money and tells you that you need at least 5 classes (each class is $90, $3 charge for using a credit card). The instructor did not provide useful tips. There are so many driving schools in Philly and this is probably the worst one. My friends had wonderful experience by going to other driving schools where the instructor are patience and provide useful tips. Not recommended if you don't have experience and never been behind the wheel. read more

I've titled and registered two vehicles here and it was super easy. Staff is really friendly and very helpful. I had the whole process done in 15 min with a printed registration as I walked out the door. Just brought my old plate to use, the title, and emailed them my insurance card. They are much cheaper than their center city competitors, one place charged triple. I would definitely recommend the place after two positive experiences like this. If you're paying by check, you will need two: one for Penndot and one for them. I only had one check, but enough cash to cover it. read more

My instructor taught me everything I needed to know about driving and he had a lot of patience. I was able to pass my road test on the very first try. For someone like me who has never driven a car at 36 years old and the thought of even driving a car being my biggest fear, these lessons were a blessing. Yes, I was apprehensive and of course procrastinated even after my first lesson, but I was dedicated to get my drivers license. Though the few lessons I took added up in cost and the 3rd party tests I had to pay twice (I failed the first time due to parallel parking), this was worth every cent. My instructor was great and gave me confidence when I was going to through in the towel. The process was worth the time and money. They have definitely learned the ways of the driving test and can help you through the whole process and prepping for the driving test! I would definitely recommend their package classes. They're usually twice a week, and lead up to a driving test that they scheduled. I recommended my friend to this place too and she liked her experience. To be honest, I decided to take 4-5 classes during the summer because my friend was too busy to teach me. If I had waited, I would have been better off. The prices are overpriced for what you get. You pay for two hours, but only get about 1.5 hours of driving in because the teacher arrives on the dot of your appointment and then decides to do the paperwork. In my opinion, the driver should have that completed prior to class (again, ripping you off for your money). The driver also has you drive around center city, which is "okay" for learning, but then when it comes to parallel parking (which I believe is the hardest for some), spends little time on that. He also uses his phone throughout the class and smokes around you and take's his sweet time, which I think it disrespectful and unprofessional. What really bothered me the most was I paid for a 2 hour class before the day of my exam, which was on the same day (have a class before the exam). I was not informed that I was going to be in a car with two other students. The whole payment of having a class before the exam was about $100-200. Not only did I waste my money, but the time that I paid for was used on two other students! How ridiculous? The guy said "well this is what happens on exam days." Then they should not provide classes prior to driving exams because it is not 1:1 BEWARE! This school tends to not give you the small fine print and you know just day of. I would honestly go somewhere else. The driver is cool and all, but it's a waste of money and waste of time. P.S. I also spoke to the lady's that work in the office and they had no idea how to respond to me. I guess this is an "okay" situation for them because I had already paid and they already got my money. They offered no way to resolve the issue I had. They did not understand why I was upset. read more

Absolutely trash school, worst service. If you are thinking to take a driver's road test here, you have to be careful because all they want is you buy more classes and they would intentionally fail you just so you can buy more classes. I took three classes from this school and every time the coach would repeat again and again "Buy one more class, you need another class" And the worst is the couch don't teach you anything,if you ask him questions,instead of answering it,he would ask you "what do you think?!!" with extremely inpatient attitude. They make everything harder for me. I am trying to replace the auto title for my sister, who is in another country at this moment and I need the title urgently. They ask me to get the notarized stamp and my sister to sign it. Afterward. She can email me or fax me the paper. Email and print works for them. Today I take the copy of the attorney power letter to there and they said they need the original. Wasted my day to call out and I need to find another auto tab again. I don't recommend if it is urgent and no time to play with them. read more

Success Driving School runs unethical and fraudulent business practice, very irresponsible. They are very good at tricking customers by hiding facts up front. My Brother went there for a driving package course which includes several driving courses and unlimited times of road test coaching, because he doesn't speak English. After paying all the fees upfront, we were told that he needed to wait more than 6 weeks until he could take the road test. They did not mention that at all before we paid, and I guess they have more students during the summer, so they were trying to use their time to acquire more business. After my brother failed the road test for the first time, he was told to wait for another 6 weeks before taking the next. And I actually can scheduled the road tests twice just for the next week, and we actually have to paid extra for someone else to coach him. They never seem to care and help us. They refused to bring him to road test or even helping him with renewing permit. And they told us, renewing is not listed in the package and we have to pay extra for them to help with renewing. I would assume unlimited road test coaching would include any process that is needed for the road test registration? They are definitely very good with wordings and playing tricks. Is there anyone who can help me and see if I can proceed with legal action? read more

Absolutely helpful, friendly and honest staff. I went there today to restore and renew my registration and I'm glad I picked this place I didn't have to pay $500 for it and it was all done within a matter of minutes. What more could I ask for? read more
