I have an interesting mix of symptoms and issues that I'll summarize by just saying I'm tired all the time. Since I've been having these issues (5 years) I've seen 7 different doctors. I have not been tested for anything. I've been told I'm too fat and that I should "consider going to the gym". Some doctors refuse to give me medications, others load me up with pain killers and muscle relaxants that leave me unable to safely drive. It's awful not getting quality care or even just being listened to as a human being. Friends with chronic pain and autoimmune disorders sympathize and have given me significantly better "care" over the internet than the actual doctors I've seen. One friend was commiserating with me once again recently when she realized there is a Red River Health & Wellness here in ABQ. (She goes to one in another state for her thyroid issues and loves it.) I saw that they do a free consultation and I jumped on it! They tell you to arrive half an hour early to fill out the VERY comprehensive medical forms if you are not able to print them and fill them out at home. They ask questions on there about symptoms I've had and didn't think any doctor would take seriously! (Dismissing them as merely cosmetic). Red River takes note of all that! It was AMAZING talking to Dr Joshua Conzo! Thorough, caring, knowledgeable. THIS is what a doctor should be. THIS is how medical care should be!! We discussed not just myself but some general medical stuff such as how the thyroid functions normally in a body and several of the things that can go wrong with it. The giant, huge, insurmountable problem: As the chiropractic physicians at Red River practice Functional Medicine, their services are not covered by insurance. Even though their services are well within the parameters of typical western medicine (eg ordering a blood test), their style of doing things isn't covered. It's ludicrous. They are merely ordering for me the tests that any doctor should have ordered, to try to figure out what the heck is going on, and yet because of the type of doctors they are, insurance won't cooperate. The pros are that they are WELL aware of this and have suggestions for how to proceed. The cons are that even with their attempts to bring the price down, you are still paying cash - $300 for tests, $100 for office visits....and who has that kind of money?? This is a PHENOMENAL practice that specializes in issues with the endocrine system. You will get thorough, quality care here. But good luck paying for it. :(

I originally went there with my friend to get IV's, then they talked us into getting a monthly subscription. That then built up to doing hormone replacement and a Dutch test. My husband and I each got a program with them. We spent a lot of money on the programs and we customized it to IVs, shots and medication. They ended up delivering my husband's medication to his ex wife's house (talk about a HIPPA and privacy violation) and causing some unnecessary drama. Then when I went in for my NAD+ infusion IVs they gave me the wrong dosage. The old owner (Dr. Cox's) husband realized the error when I was checking out and apologized and told me that they would make it right and give me a free push bag for after the NAD+ infusion. I called a few months later to make my appt and had to wait 2 1/2 weeks for them to get back to me to tell me that they couldn't find anything in my notes to indicate that I was given the wrong dose. Then they said that they will call the new owner Kat to see if she'll validate what was promised. I had to wait another 2 weeks for them to tell me that she won't give me the push bag that I would have to pay for it ($200). I called to see what changed and why they wouldn't give me what was promised since it was an error on their part. They ended up getting back to me and 1 1/2 week later to tell me that Kat said it had been too long and since the program was over a year ago, she will not honor what was promised. The new owner of Vessel Longevity should be contractually bound (by the contract I signed) to honor what was promised and what I paid for...even more so, when the negligence of her staff gave me the wrong dosage.
