Angel is a mix breed but mostly Maine Coon (a long furry cat that looks like a little lion). When the owner showed up she came into our home and of course our cat was not real excited to see any one new so my daughter got her carrier and she was put in there (no problem). I was asked how I wanted her trimmed.I replied : Bathe her, just thin her out and even her up don't shave her. When she was brought back into our home and let out of the carrier she looked like a 'rat' most all of her fur was removed. When I came out of 'shock' I was told she had two really bad mats and she wouldn't have looked right unless she took her fur all the way down. My daughter said she looked like a scissors cut not a 'even' clippers type cut. My biggest concern is she was in our driveway only a few steps from our front door,'why did she not come into the house and ask me to come out and see what she said she had to do before just doing it' ? She was here for less than a half hour and now in my opinion she may have just taken the fastest way to get done and collect the fee. Bathe,cut,dry,and moisturize was supposed to all be done. Maybe her two children were getting restless ,I don't know but we won't be using her services again. Too high of a price for services ( $100 ) and we don't think she acted like the professional she should have been.

Our pup was still very nervous and scared but they took great care of her while she was there. They were so kind and gentle with her from what I saw when I dropped her off and picked her up. They also did a wonderful job and cut her exactly how I wanted her cut. The only thing I would recommend they do moving forward is to overestimate the time it will take. They told me 3 hours and after 4 hours, our pup still wasn't ready. We had a training session booked so I had to have them rush the rest of the service. Next time I'll know to make an appointment earlier in the day and expect it to take most of the day.

6.18.2025 I have…read morebeen to a lot of different groomers trying to find the right fit for my chocolate lab, Piper. I found Sassy's by googling "dog groomer near me" and hear I am. Piper went today for a bath and a much needed super deshedder treatment along with ears and teeth cleaning, nail trim and her little but glands taken care of. The owner/groomer Amanda met me and spoke with me (I did not feel rushed at at) about the services and time length and had me fill out paperwork for Piper. As I was filling out the paperwork 2 repeat customers came in and did a quick drop off. That, to me said a lot. The customers were confident and secure with dropping off knowing their pups were in good hands with Amanda. The salon was very clean, did not smell, and is super cute. I could have spent some money with all the fun things she has. I also noted how peaceful it was when I walked in. There were some pups in the back waiting their turn, but overall, Amanda's salon just put off a peaceful vibe. Like anything else, I read reviews about Sassy's and like anything else there will never be a 100% likeability rate. I made the decision to try Sassy's with Piper, the princess, the pup I pretty much arrange my schedule around to make her life amazing, so I did not walk into this establishment lightly. When I picked up Piper, Amanda took time to explain the servies and Piper looked great and she looked happy! I am already booking for next month. They give you updates throughout your dogs stay, spend lots of quality time with the dogs, and my dog always comes home tired from all the fun he has had. At the end of the stay, you get a "report card" letting you know how everything went. They also are extremely friendly and do everything to make you comfortable about leaving your fur baby.
