The owner refuses to take responsibility. The infection occurred from a post grooming session. Per the vet, the diagnosis was pyoderma and this can be caused when groomers cause abrasion to the pet skin and they use diluted shampoo they've pre-mixed with water (a common practice to help aid in distributing the soap into the coat). This solution should be discarded daily and if not can become contaminated with pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria which is responsible for pyoderma. My dog doesn't have history of a hot spot on his back ever and this wound occurred by his spine. There is no way he could have twisted his head around 180 degrees to lick and create this so called hot spot. Further, he has always been on prescription oral flea medicine and does not have any history of fleas. It was because I have been going here for many years I refrained from calling the Health Department , requesting a refund, and repayment for the medical fees. The owners lack of responsibility is disappointing. Thankfully I have insurance for my pet but others may not be so lucky. Please be cautious of taking your pet here. read more

The people here are so nice, and sometimes can accommodate same day appointments if you call in the morning. Been coming here for a bit over a year taking our 120lb lab mastiff Howie to Danny and the team. We cannot speak more highly of everyone! They are a small shop but do great quality work. Howie is hard to handle and scared of loud noises but they are super patient with getting him in every-time. We especially take him here when he gets hot spots during summer because they clean out the wounds and will shave the hot spot. Like clockwork a couple days later the hot spots clear up. Please check your pet every time you pick up. I realized mine was always coming home with thick spots on her body. I always scheduled appointments with her vet but was never able to get in on time and it would disappear and just leave a mark on her skin showing something had happened to her. I always assumed she would pick up a flea. Finally one day after getting her groomed I was able to see a vet shortly after. EVERY TIME I WAS TAKING HER THE GROOMERS THEY CUT HER AND GLUED HER BACK TOGETHER. The hard spots on skin had been glued shut.
