The studio is a bit small but and enough space for you to roam about and do your thing. The first step was to handle the clay then they thought us how to handle the wheel and then we got to choose if we wanted a vase, a cup or a bowl. We were in a small group of 6 due to which the teachers could explain and help us well. We ended up upgrading our class to include paint as well as we got to know that without the paint we won't be able to use the things we made of it involves water. My friend made a cute cup and I made a not so cute vase. I would definitely say that but the end of the class, we were rushing a bit and would have appreciated some help and tips from the teachers but we didn't get any. We had to constantly ask about things and where the brushes were and where the paints were. Since it was our first ever class, we would have appreciated a bit more help from the teachers in managing our time and helpful tips on how to glaze correctly instead of having to ask everything ourselves when we are already rushing. Regardless, we had a lot of fun and can't wait to pick up our pieces soon!

It is a mother/daughter duo that run the business. They were super nice and helpful!! They do not charge a sitting fee, you just pay for the ceramic piece you pick out. I thought the prices were really reasonable considering it also covers the paint, apron, table coverings, paper towels, as well as use of their space, brushes and paint trays. We picked out large serving pieces, which were each about $50. You can choose a gloss that can be dried in half an hour which is included in the price of the piece or have it sent out to be fired which is an extra $4 per piece. They even clean up for you afterwards. The space is huge, with lots of tables to work at and tons of ceramics to choose from. I highly recommend checking this fun venue out!!

My last assignment had 3 people on cash payment for tickets and only 1 for credit card, and you guessed it, the credit card line was ridiculously long, which the rest of us sat like mopes! What is needed here is organization, organization, organazation! And it would be nice if the head of the volunteer group didn't get so stressed that she borders on being rude. Just saying!

Most of all, Big Buzz Idea Group takes on events/festivals with the goal of leaving the neighborhood better than how they found it. This is accomplished through a volunteer grant program (which Big Buzz developed) that has funneled millions of dollars into local NPOs, schools, churches and other organizations.
