Never a bad experience here. Service is on point, food is delicious and prices are reasonable. Best part is there Latin dishes as well as their skillets they have doubled in size by acquiring the space next door. The place has always been cozy but not has a little more leg room. You definitely feel at home in this restaurant. Come check them out. You definitely won't be disappointed!

This is my second time coming here and I decided to try something different. I got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit which you can never go wrong with. Especially if you put jelly on it! Bacon was crispy and they put the perfect amount of cheese on the egg. I was not a big fan of the biscuit because it all fell apart and was very messy. Other than that the food had good taste. The hash brows were crispy which I enjoyed. Can't wait to give it another try.

I had a pleasant enough meal here with my husband for a quick brunch however I wasn't blown away. The food was "just okay," and with so many amazing options in town, I wouldn't see myself coming back. The chilaquiles edged on overly spicy, but the texture was pure mush- not a hint of crisp left in those tortillas. The pintos were under seasoned. The home fries were soft and over spiced. Acceptable but not great!

This has been open for several months. Walked in curious to see what the old "Baked just So" had turned into. Pleasantly surprised to see a full menu with many options. They definitely optimized the small space with 12 tables and bar options for single customers. Lots of room considering the space. They even have gluten free meal options and are very considerate for cross contamination Celiac customers. Will add this to my go-to Brunch list.

Came here closer to closing time on a Saturday. Even though we were there for last call if you will, the service was great and they treated us very well. I was already eyeing the menu before we even got here, so I knew I was going to go with the eggies skillet. Comes with all your favorites... Eggs (of course), cheese, grilled onions, peppers, and cheese. Then you get your choice of meat. I went with the sausage links. I loved that it came out in an actual skillet lol. This was absolutely great. The eggs were nice and fluffy, the sausage was cooked to perfection, and the peppers and onions were grilled perfectly. I was very impressed and loved it. The skillet looked kind of small coming out, but don't let the look deceive you. This thing is packed with a lot of food! Also comes with your choice of a bread, I went with the biscuit. Was very good as well. I've been to a few places now in the area for breakfast/brunch. I have to say this is at the top of my list. I will definitely be back to try something else. Well, I don't know about that. That skillet is where it's at!

This little breakfast and brunch spot needs more love in our community, because the food is excellent, service is friendly, and the restaurant is well-lit and decorated! Our Triad Community Intern and I stopped in for a weekday brunch, and I think this won't be the last time we do. The weather was mild for a change this summer, and it was nice and bright inside. Our server helped us with recommendations from the menu, and there is definitely a southwestern and Mexican vibe to the menu. I decided to go with the breakfast burrito, chorizo as my protein, with home fries and their spicy delicious grilled serrano pepper. I also asked for a side of salsa verde, which was a great choice. The tangy tomatillo complimented the flavors in the nice size burrito just right. Plenty of chorizo and egg throughout set my day up for success, and the beans tied it all together. I also loved taking bites of the grilled serrano pepper for spicy hits when I needed them. So good! Tierani did a build your own breakfast plate, with a mix of egg whites and eggs, and turkey sausage, which she said was the best tasting turkey sausage she has ever had! It certainly looked good. This place just did so well from top to bottom and the menu is very diverse. I cannot wait to visit Eggies again!

Nice place and good food and service. I got the breakfast tacos and we split a plate of avocado toast. Overall it was a solid four to me and if I lived closer I probably would come back again.

On my second visit to this small spot, I went with Chilaquiles Verde with the eggs over easy. The food was out in about 10 minutes, dining traffic was very light, in fact there was only one other table with a single person. The Chilaquiles were, at best, a very mixed bag. The eggs were cooked as requested. The verde sauce packed plenty of heat, but the tortilla chips were limp and soggy, messing up both flavor and texture. Both the "smashed" pintos and the seasoned potatoes (think home fries) were barely warm, and the pintos were definitely not smashed, and were under seasoned. The potatoes had been left on the grill, not cooked to order, and also lacked flavor. While the eggs were nice as was the verde sauce, the remainder of the items were simply a careless, lazy mess that should never have gotten out of the kitchen. If you are going to offer a classic Mexican breakfast item, it would help to have a kitchen that could properly prepare it!

This is a quaint spot for breakfast. Wonderful service and hot good coffee. They have your egg dishes and skillets, they also have avocado toast, pancakes, etc. The avocado toast was a little bland and I had to add some salt to it, but other than that, pretty good. I really enjoyed my healthy omelette that had turkey sausage. It wasn't overly salty like some places which I appreciated.

I found a new favorite right here in Winston-Salem! I visited Eggies while having a productive work meeting with my boss. It was not very loud so we were able to peacefully have a conversation. You are instantly greeted and sat. The decor is so nice they created a very bright and bubbly aesthetic. Because I am eating a bit more healthier, I loved that they had a menu that can cater to all lifestyles. There were so many wonderful items I wanted to try such as the chorizo omelette. However, I did not cave in and got egg whites, turkey sausage, strawberries, and wheat toast. I ate every bite of this plate. It was a nice affordable way to take a break from my kitchen and enjoy a nicely decorated place while eating what I would've ate at home!

Decent spot for brunch, among plenty of places in the area that have brunch spots I would call "decent." A tad pricey, but what isn't? The service was friendly and attentive enough. Inside is small but clean with pleasant and bright decor. I enjoyed my egg sandwich in French toast. Dipping it in the syrup some made for a nice touch!

    Hannah H.

Eggies is a good, solid breakfast spot with many of your classics like omelettes, french toast, pancakes, breakfast burritos etc. everything is well made but a few of the details could have been done better to take it to the next level - melting the cheese in burrito, crispy and hot potatoes, etc.

    Jenn D.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! We were in town from Charlotte and found this gem on Yelp. Absolutely on point from the time we walked in the door until we left. The service, food, ambience were all above and beyond. We would definitely go back and recommend this location to others.

My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, it was huge! For a side she had the sweet potato tots. She let me steal a bite of both and yum! I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!

My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. We were looking for something new and…read morediscovered that Founders has brunch with Gluten Free chicken and waffles which is something we haven't found in North Carolina yet. Technically they have to use the same waffle maker so if you are a severe Celiac you should be aware of that, luckily our party member is able to chance very slight cross-contamination so it was not a worry big enough to override the desire for waffles. If it is an issue for you, they offer pancakes instead so you can still have a treat. We did not experience any ill-effects but your mileage may vary of course. Both the gluten free and standard breakfast options were terrific, it seems like everything was made in-house. We will absolutely be back. It seems like they have some limitations on how much of certain foods they can turn out (for example, they probably only have a handful of waffle makers) so it did take a little while to get our food. This isn't uncommon for brunch at many places but I don't know what it's like during dinner service so I can't speak to that. The place itself is beautiful, it looks like an old home or B&B and it's got a cozy charm. My only complaint was the Mimosa price being a bit high and the drink itself just being a standard cava+orange juice. I'd love to see $2 knocked off the Mimosa price if I could choose, but otherwise everything was so good. Finally, do get a reservation or be prepared to wait during the top hours.

We called ahead last week to reserve a table for 8 but it ended up being just the 6 of us. They still sat us at a nice oversized table (almost too large) in a semi-private room which was a pleasant surprise. Our waiter Brandon was very nice and friendly, prompt with orders, and always checking back in regularly. He also offered some suggestions on personal and fan favorites (shrimp and grits, beignets) I can't resist flight options when they're on the menu, so I had to go with the mimosa flight. I tried the sunrise, tropical, and Tiffany (OJ/tequila, bacardi/coconut/pineapple, and lemonade / blue zest). My favorite was actually the Tiffany even though I'm not a huge fan of lemonade, it was light and refreshing and crisp/chill, exactly how I love it. The other two were tasty but not as cold - I asked for ice - but probably because they're made with tequilas that aren't refrigerated. For our entrees, we got an assortment of benedicts, salads, and chicken/waffles. I personally had the pork belly benedict. The pork belly itself was really good and the poached eggs were perfectly runny, but as a whole, it fell a little flat, just didn't quite deliver the entire burst of flavor I was hoping for. It was not bad by any means, I think it just needed a/more sauce or something. All in all though, we had a great time and would definitely return. Pricing is pretty fair/standard as well. I could definitely be tempted by the martini or margarita flight next time as well as the beignets which we totally forgot about after the waiter initially suggested them!

IF IT COMES, I MAY AMEND THE REVIEW] Don't Let My Mistake Become Your Mistake I rarely write negative reviews, but this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The HVAC system at this property is apparently old and, according to staff, frequently malfunctions. Unfortunately, I learned that firsthand when the air conditioning failed on the hottest day of the year--July 4th. After a long flight and drive from Charlotte Airport, I arrived expecting a comfortable night's rest. Instead, I spent a sleepless night in a sweltering room. To the hotel's credit, staff offered me a replacement room, but what was supposed to be an upgrade was just as hot as the standard room I had originally booked. At that point, there was no meaningful solution to the problem. What made the situation even worse was the hotel's billing policy. Unlike most hotels that charge you after your stay, this property charged my credit card in advance. That's particularly bad news when the hotel cannot provide the basic service you're paying for: a room with working air conditioning. With no realistic option but to leave, I checked out early on July 4th, forfeiting the second night of my reservation. Yet the front desk staff informed me they were not authorized to refund the unused night, despite already having charged my card. I was told that only the manager, Mr. Aaron Simerlink, could approve the refund--and that he works only Monday through Friday. Think about that for a moment. The hotel could charge my credit card immediately, but the employees standing in front of me supposedly lacked the authority to return money for a night I would not be using because the room was uninhabitable. Why should a guest have to spend a holiday weekend chasing down a manager to obtain a fair refund? Adding insult to injury was the customer service that followed. Mr. Simerlink initially avoided taking my call, and when I finally did speak with him after the front desk returned to him a second time, he ended the conversation by hanging up on me. That is not how a reputable hotel treats a guest who experienced a major service failure. Ironically, when I checked out, the front desk had mistakenly billed me for the room "upgrade." Somehow, they were able to correct that charge without Mr. Simerlink's intervention, yet they remained powerless to refund the unused night. The inconsistency speaks for itself. I eventually noticed that the unused night's charge had been refunded. That was the right outcome, but it should never have been a struggle to get there. A reputable operator would have shown genuine concern for a guest who endured a sleepless night in extreme heat. The response should have been immediate, apologetic, and customer-focused--not reluctant, dismissive, and adversarial. My advice is simple: don't do it. If you're considering staying here, remember that when things go wrong, how management responds matters just as much as the problem itself. Based on my experience, you deserve better. Listen to what I'm telling you. Don't let my mistake become your mistake. You deserve better than this
