Bottom line: Eggies was a truly 4.5 star solid experience. My "Build Your Own Combos" breakfast was a good one, noting the biscuit here was top notch and worked well with their sausage gravy side. The server on this visit was the 5+ stars part of this whole visit, amazingly helpful and positive! The Deets: I got the opportunity to try out Eggies off of Robinhood Road in Winston-Salem as it was the choice of some of my friends to catch a quick Saturday breakfast. Located within The Village of Robinhood shopping area, it was easy to access with plenty of parking within the shopping center. The restaurant is small but quaint, as we entered we got to snag the last open table at that time fairly quickly. Their menu is full of breakfast/brunchy/sandwich/burgers like offerings with plenty of offerings. I went to the "Build Your Own Combos" section of the menu, I'm all about choices. Here, you can choose 2 meats, 1 breakfast side, one bread/carb with eggs any style for $11.50 at the time of this writing. I went with 2 pieces of grilled pork tenderloin, sausage gravy side paired with one of their biscuits (planning on biscuit & gravy, yum!) with some scrambled eggs. Breakfast came out within an acceptable wait for a full house, no longer than anticipated wait. My selections looked great, with the portions being adequate but not overgenerous. Of note, the biscuit was big, fluffy, and exactly what you would expect from a Southern style biscuit. The biscuit combined with their sausage gravy was enjoyable with the scrambled eggs and tenderloin (I am glad I ordered two of them instead of two separate meat selections). With their satisfying coffee, I enjoyed this breakfast stop before the start of a busy day. I come to the best part of my visit to Eggies, the service. Our server was excellent...pleasant, helpful, refills right at the time needed, and so attentive with positivity. I wish I could give 5+ stars for her service, definitely made this visit enjoyable. I really wish Yelp had half stars in many situations and this time is one of them. With 4 stars for food/menu/atmosphere and 5+ stars on service, I really feel that this visit to Eggies was a solid 4.5 star experience. read more

The food was "just okay," and with so many amazing options in town, I wouldn't see myself coming back. The chilaquiles edged on overly spicy, but the texture was pure mush- not a hint of crisp left in those tortillas. The pintos were under seasoned. The home fries were soft and over spiced. This is my second time coming here and I decided to try something different. I got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit which you can never go wrong with. Especially if you put jelly on it! This has been open for several months. Walked in curious to see what the old "Baked just So" had turned into. Pleasantly surprised to see a full menu with many options. They definitely optimized the small space with 12 tables and bar options for single customers. Lots of room considering the space. Came here closer to closing time on a Saturday. Even though we were there for last call if you will, the service was great and they treated us very well. I was already eyeing the menu before we even got here, so I knew I was going to go with the eggies skillet. Comes with all your favorites... Eggs (of course), cheese, grilled onions, peppers, and cheese. Then you get your choice of meat. I went with the sausage links. I loved that it came out in an actual skillet lol. This was absolutely great. The eggs were nice and fluffy, the sausage was cooked to perfection, and the peppers and onions were grilled perfectly. I was very impressed and loved it. The skillet looked kind of small coming out, but don't let the look deceive you. This thing is packed with a lot of food! Also comes with your choice of a bread, I went with the biscuit. Was very good as well. I've been to a few places now in the area for breakfast/brunch. I have to say this is at the top of my list. I will definitely be back to try something else. This little breakfast and brunch spot needs more love in our community, because the food is excellent, service is friendly, and the restaurant is well-lit and decorated! Our Triad Community Intern and I stopped in for a weekday brunch, and I think this won't be the last time we do. The weather was mild for a change this summer, and it was nice and bright inside. Our server helped us with recommendations from the menu, and there is definitely a southwestern and Mexican vibe to the menu. I decided to go with the breakfast burrito, chorizo as my protein, with home fries and their spicy delicious grilled serrano pepper. I also asked for a side of salsa verde, which was a great choice. The tangy tomatillo complimented the flavors in the nice size burrito just right. Plenty of chorizo and egg throughout set my day up for success, and the beans tied it all together. I also loved taking bites of the grilled serrano pepper for spicy hits when I needed them. So good! Tierani did a build your own breakfast plate, with a mix of egg whites and eggs, and turkey sausage, which she said was the best tasting turkey sausage she has ever had! It certainly looked good. This place just did so well from top to bottom and the menu is very diverse. I cannot wait to visit Eggies again! read more

On my second visit to this small spot, I went with Chilaquiles Verde with the eggs over easy. The food was out in about 10 minutes, dining traffic was very light, in fact there was only one other table with a single person. The Chilaquiles were, at best, a very mixed bag. The eggs were cooked as requested. The verde sauce packed plenty of heat, but the tortilla chips were limp and soggy, messing up both flavor and texture. Both the "smashed" pintos and the seasoned potatoes (think home fries) were barely warm, and the pintos were definitely not smashed, and were under seasoned. The potatoes had been left on the grill, not cooked to order, and also lacked flavor. While the eggs were nice as was the verde sauce, the remainder of the items were simply a careless, lazy mess that should never have gotten out of the kitchen. If you are going to offer a classic Mexican breakfast item, it would help to have a kitchen that could properly prepare it! read more

They have your egg dishes and skillets, they also have avocado toast, pancakes, etc. The avocado toast was a little bland and I had to add some salt to it, but other than that, pretty good. I found a new favorite right here in Winston-Salem! I visited Eggies while having a productive work meeting with my boss. It was not very loud so we were able to peacefully have a conversation. You are instantly greeted and sat. The decor is so nice they created a very bright and bubbly aesthetic. Because I am eating a bit more healthier, I loved that they had a menu that can cater to all lifestyles. There were so many wonderful items I wanted to try such as the chorizo omelette. However, I did not cave in and got egg whites, turkey sausage, strawberries, and wheat toast. I ate every bite of this plate. Mostly breakfast items where you can build your own combo. Which I did choosing 2 eggs, bacon, biscuit and sausage gravy. Next time will try the Buenos Menu. Plus they have other breakfast items like egg. Benedict, omelets and pancakes, French toast. Lunch menu has burgers, subs, sandwiches, salads. I found a new breakfast spot in Winston I'm so excited about! A group of friends and I ate at Eggies for breakfast on a Friday morning and it was fire! The spot can be a little difficult to get into (I had to go through an apartment complex parking lot), but once there they have plenty of parking. The vibe inside is also so cute with an egg wall and egg lights. Our server was also quick and friendly which we love. The food was amazing - I got both the cinnamon roll pancakes and the breakfast croissant and don't have a single complaint about either dish and it's something I'd definitely order again. I was surprised to see a full breakfast cocktail menu! Fan faves mimosas, sangrias , espresso martinis, bloody Mary's and a bunch of other cool stuff. Also a full coffee bar menu. The place is so nicely decorated. Simple but bright and breezy. Loved all the sunny side eggs everywhere! Loved the mirror in the bathroom. Which is very clean btw. The whole place had a nice fresh and clean feel to it. Which is nice. They have a few outdoor seats too. We got seated straight away on a Monday at lunch. Service was excellent. She always double checked if she wasn't sure and came back to tell us. My friend had the egg and cheese with toast and bakes cinnamon apples. She loved hers and ate every bite. The apples she said were nice and cinnamony ! Nice size plate too. I had the skillet with egg whites. You get green peppers, onions, potatoes and lots of egg whites scrambles on top. Also come with toast and a protein. I asked if I could have the Canadian bacon but it wasn't on the choice list and she checked and they did it for me with no up charge. Loved this skillet ! Hearty and plentiful. Their whole wheat toast is really good too. Plus you get 3 pieces of bacon! We throughly enjoyed our breakfast for lunch. I love I have so many good choices for brunch in Winston now. Eggies is definitely on top with service, cleanliness and food choices. They do upcharge if you use a credit card to pay . So many places do these days. It's not written anywhere but I saw it on the bill. Again I wish they would just add this charge into the food which we expect these days to be more anyway! First time to the new brunch spot! Corner spot, Cute & cozy inside with a few tables outside, serving breakfast & lunch all day. We ordered the French Toast w/blueberries & strawberries & the South of the Border Omelette served w/home fries & a buttery fluffy biscuit. All drinks were kept refilled, he was kind and friendly, service was quick but not rushed. I was super impressed with the menu and I loved the Mexican breakfast dishes. It was hard to decide, but I landed on the breakfast tacos. These were incredible. It came with some fresh pico and queso fresco that all meshed together perfectly. Also 3 filling tacos and a side of beans for $12 is a STEAL!! We also got the cinnamon roll pancakes to share and they were fantastic. The pancake itself was incredibly fluffy and the cinnamon roll flavor addition was perfectly sweet. Everyone was incredibly impressed with this meal from start to finish. We decided on a late breakfast on this new business. It's a cute little place with warm colors and a welcoming environment. There are 3 outdoor tables and a few tables inside. The place was fairly busy and we were immediately seated by our friendly hostess. The menu has an extensive list of breakfast items as well as some lunch favorites like hamburgers. I went with the Healthy Omelette which had a good amount of turkey sausage and crumbles of feta cheese with egg whites. It comes with a side of wheat toast and some fresh fruit. My wife got the Smashed Avocado Eggies Benedict. A healthy take on traditional eggs Benedict, instead of ham they replace it with smashed avocado and a side of pico de gallo. We also got a side of bacon, 3 perfectly cooked slices. They also put some homemade sauces on the table, green chili(not spicy) & a red spicy one. Both were great. We have been to Eggies a few times and they haven't disappointed us yet! It has quickly become my favorite breakfast spot. We are very lucky to live close by, but honestly I wouldn't mind driving out for this quality of food and service. It far surpasses first watch, breakfast time, etc. in my opinion. Now for the food, I am ride-or-die for the eggies skillet! Eventually I will branch out and try other dishes, but it's hard when you fall in love with the first dish you get from a restaurant! I get mine with sunny side eggs and ham. The dish is hot, flavorful, and the runny eggs are to die for. It comes in a cast iron skillet that ensures it stays hot all the way until the last bite! My partner had pancakes today, and bacon egg and cheese biscuits previously. He's been impressed every time! We decided to try the flavored mimosas. I had peach-mango, and he had pineapple-mango. Both were delicious, but the pineapple-mango will definitely be our go to. We liked the slight tartness from the pineapple. I was worried they would be too sweet with too much juice, but they nailed the ratio perfectly. The cocktail list is very impressive and reasonably priced. I can't wait to try some of the coffee cocktails next time! If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out! Cute locally-owned breakfast and lunch place on a side of town that doesn't have many options for breakfast. It has an extensive menu for both meals and they recently added alcoholic drinks (Mimosas, Screwdrivers, coffee liqueurs , etc.) to their menu. The food and the prices are good, as well as the service. It's fairly small indoors but has lots of parking and some outdoor tables as well. While they have coffee and cold brew, I wish they would add an espresso machine so I could enjoy a cappuccino with breakfast! But I'll be back because everything else is great. read more

A friend and I went to Eggies for the first time today and were not disappointed. Our server Carly was wonderful. She was sweet, professional and keenly observant. Half way through our time there a woman was seated near us with strong perfume and she quietly moved us down a table as it was affecting my asthma. (I hadn't said anything-she was that good!) The food was very good. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and my bacon was cooked well done as I had asked. The biscuit was made by scratch and straight out of the oven. It was light, fluffy and perfect. My one suggestion is that little packets of honey or jam be offered. My coffee was refilled before it was completely gone. (twice!) My friend enjoyed her meal as well-commenting that the chicken sausage, fresh fruit and French toast were delicious. What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood-we will be back! read more

Sunday was maybe not the best day to check out a new restaurant. They were very busy, inside and on the patio. I had a waffle. Had to send it back. So cold it wouldn't melt the butter. Second time was a charm. One of my friends ordered eggs Benedict but with smashed avacado. Cold. Both times it was delivered to our table. Hot water for tea wasn't hot. Both times. Third person at our table had chicken and waffles. She said hers was good! All the food coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. I will check them out some week day. Not on the weekend. Diner with the avacado Benedict left her cold food and cold tea. She won't be back. The restaurant was extremely noisy. Really high ceilings looked very nice. The space inside was tiny. With a number of the tables being attached to the walls so that you sat at a counter and faced a wall. I don't know how they could have designed it differently. Would not want to face a wall while eating. And no service door from the kitchen to the outside patio. Made for lots of traffic around the tables with wait staff coming and going out the only door that let patrons in. read more
