This is my go-to place to have keys made up. I've been burned a few times using Home Depot to copy keys only to have to drive back after they didn't work. This place is always top notch and I've never had any issues or problems. Staff are super nice and they offer a wide variety of security related items for your home. Guy behind the counter was really nice, and was able to get me two extra keys in less than 5 minutes for $20 bucks. We have had multiple issues with our alarm over the duration of our contract. The two most recent issues were sensors that physically rusted on my interior windows (which SL eventually replaced after multiple calls and emails) and a CO detector that had an issue for 12 hours before central finally called to notify us of a problem (at 6 in the morning.) SL asserts our CO detector has expired, but the blink light codes do not match up with the manual. When I called to inquire about this, I found Joe to be very condescending. SL will not provide an admin code for the panel and has ignored my repeated requests for one. They are effectively attempting to hold the equipment I own hostage, which I feel is ethically wrong. Their techs are personally very nice, but the additional expense for service calls has not been worth the headaches. Buyer beware. read more

I went in one morning because I needed a photo inspection for my car insurance. The first person I spoke to said, "we just opened so you have to wait." OK- so their opening time of 9 really means 9:30 because the employees need time to settle in, make coffee, read the paper, or whatever...not sure. But I wait. Then another employee comes out and tells me that I have to wait longer, at least 30 minutes bc they have to answer phones, take care of customers, etc. Wait, am I not a customer? OK- I interpreted that as since you're not paying for this, I can give you the run around and call it a day. He had no intention of helping me, hoping I'd walk out the door. Which I did. Suggestion to management-since this IS a service that you claim YOU OFFER, then understand that people who may utilize this service COULD BE potential customers in the future. If you're SO BUSY, then how about seeing photo inspection customers by appointment only? Nope, they'll never see me ever again. Bad bad taste in my mouth. I am giving one star is because this place falls short of great customer service. Unlike Caliber Collision, who was up front about the wait time and really acted like they wanted to give me this service. Stay away from this place. read more

If I could give a negative star, I would. The customer service is absolutely awful. To begin, when they installed the system they added all these extra fees that were never discussed. Including 2 installation fees for one box! Last night, the box malfunctioned and the alarm keeps going off. We called them and they basically told us there's nothing they can do, after blaming us for about 45 minutes. Then they "kindly" offered to fix their own malfunctioning equipment for $250! Then I basically asked them to cancel the service which they constantly say they can't do or avoid us completely. read more

I just used them this past week to purchase and program a fob for my son's car. I had called dealers and the price was pretty steep. Jeff tried programming one they had in stock, it didn't work. He ordered one from his warehouse and it was there the next morning. They were very friendly and had the job done in about 15 minutes when I brought the car in. Will definitely use them again. Locksmith's are not cheap. They need to keep up with modern technology just the same as other businesses do. Checking my review after posting shows me in CA. I went about a week ago my truck remote would not work . It was 4:00 in the afternoon the door was locked I do understand the whole Covid thing so I looked in the door as for the sign said they were open till 5:00 . A man started walking to the door in a huff and yes I did have a mask on . He asked me what I needed and told him a battery for my remote he grabbed the remote I was showing him and walk on the store. He came back a minute later with a big black display and said its not your battery it is your remote you need a new one see and not knowing what to see I said see what and he starts pointing at lights on this display. I said well how much is a remote he goes to me abruptly we'll 250.00 so I said ok thanks have a good day . Went home told my husband he bought a battery and fixed it my remote works great. Not nice people and to try to rip you off on top of the attitude so sad read more

Used this company for a bathroom lock-out. They sent the tech within the hour which was great. The tech was awesome -- literally took 1/2 second to unlock. Yet, this company charged the 69.99 for the quick service (which is understandable) and 75.00 for labor. $75 for 1/2 second!!! Great tech; assert to their company HOWEVER, I will not use nor recommend this company to anyone based on their greediness. read more

This place is amazing, no matter what I go in there for they are always kind and so helpful. I just brought an old piece of luggage in there, it was in my family for years but the lock wouldn't work and they keys were lost many years ago. I brought it in they took one look at it and in two days the lock was fixed and I they made two keys for me. I would never go anywhere else for any security or locks. The price to do my particular job was somewhat cost prohibitive and I was going to opt out of the work when I received the estimate. The company was still going to charge me the service fee despite the fact that I was not going to do the work. After a brief and cordial conversation with "Annie," she worked with me on a fair price and Rocco did the job quickly and without issue. I lost the key fob for a Toyota smart key, bought a replacement on eBay and these guys. Had the correct computers to reprogram the fob.. It works good as new. I was a little pricy but a lot cheaper than toyota. I will use them again in the future. A lot of smaller locksmiths can't afford the latest computer hardware to keep up with the car manufacturers. read more

No Worries here. I am a facility manager at a local factory of 220 employees. For the past 3 years I have turned to Suffolk Lock and Security For everything concerning locks and security and they have never let me down. My building and systems are 20 years old and I upgraded the front entrance doors, fire alarm system, several warped emergency exit doors, burglar alarm and added an outdoor surveillance system. I also upgraded the card access system to the Brivo brand recommended by Steve their salesman. I was scared at first wondering about the bugs and getting everyone used to it. Their crew wiped out the computer bugs in a day and the system was very simple to change over to. It has layers which the top layer is easy to use. Then when I needed very specific stuff I was guided by Brivo tech help to drill down the layers to find the rare options that I needed. They also made suggestions to make access for my staff more friendly and easy to use. If you are not sure which security contractor to use. The clear choice is to give Suffolk Lock and Security the chance. They offer excellent service at a fair price for everything they offer. read more

These people are crooks. I bought a new alarm remote for my car six months ago. It stopped working. I replaced the battery twice and tested the battery. The remote was defective. They absolutely refused to honor their obligations. They wanted to charge me $35 to reprogram the remote. They were going to charge me $35 even if they could not reprogram it and told me so outright. They were going to charge me for services not rendered. They accused me of lying about having bought the remote from them. I was willing to pay $35 dollars for a working remote but not a penny more for a broken one. I had already paid some $60 plus tax for a broken remote, why would I throw good money after bad? Do not patronize this placed unless you want to be ripped off by the crook who runs it. read more
