This was our second visit to Perkins. We came to this same location last year and were very pleased! This visit, while fine, wasn't nearly as good. We were promptly greeted and seated upon arrival, with a smile and warm welcome. A couple minutes later our server arrived at the table and took our drink order and then returned with our drinks and took our food order. We had a variety of sandwiches, pancakes, and country fried steak. The biggest miss was the country gravy, it was very watery. The green beans were also off. Lastly, the water had an odd aftertaste. Other than that the food was good. Our server was a little busy as it appeared she was the only one working when we visited. This resulted in the hostess/manager helping out a little more than usual, but patrons may not have had been receiving the level of service they would typically expect. The entry area and the dining room were clean and well situated. The men's room, however, needed some attention. Would I return? IT was my first time at this location and it is inside not what you expect it to be from the outside, when I walked in I was immediately surprised how outdated it felt. Spacious and lots of seating and an arcade. The display didn't have many cakes. We got seated asap. The table next to us had an older guy by himself and he basically inserted himself on us the whole time, I wish we asked to change tables. The waiter was very friendly and did his best. I got the simple breakfast they promote in their billboard outside: an egg, bacon and pancakes. And I ordered the silk chocolate pie. The pie was served all messed up with a hair in it. It still tasted good but presentation was 0 there. Food was ok. They are more expensive than ihop that's right next door however the experience at ihop is so much better. But they got chocolate cake and that's really the only reason why I love Perkins. read more

We stayed at Epcot until late. Most restaurants close around 9 pm or so. This place is open until midnight. We were hungry and we settled here. My husband had a steak skillet. It was a bit different from a picture on the menu. He didn't like to have sauce on top but the server changed it for him. I had a half sandwich and a slice of coconut cream pie. The sandwich was ok but I enjoyed the pie. The place was clean and the server was friendly. I only saw her working and due to that, the service was a bit slow. read more

We are in Florida on vacation. I usually love Perkins. We were disappointed. We have a baby with us. We were told the wait was 15-20 minutes. We waited over an hour to be seated. They skipped our name. Needless to say, the baby was getting fussy. Then it took forever to get waited on. I ordered the pancakes and they tasted like they cooked it on grease that had something else cooked in with it. Another person in my party said her eggs were not good. Our waitress rarely checked on us. We came in for breakfast and were still here during lunch. My husband had country fried steak and said it was "ok". Perkins never disappoints! Every time we have dined at Perkins, does not matter which location, we leave as happy campers! Service is top notch!! Food arrives fast! We were on our way to Wild Florida and stopped here for brunch. We ordered the following; Pot Roast Waffle w/ side of Pancake Sausage Biscuit platter Coffee All the items were delicious. After a day at Universal we were all hungry. Since it was after 10 pm our choices were quite limited. Things in Florida close up pretty early. Being a California kid I was raised with Denny's and Sambo's being the late night options (that's not so much the case anymore). I had an employee years ago who said Perkins was their South Dakota equivalent of the aforementioned establishments. There was a Perkins in the area and it was open so we gave it a try. Oh my gosh. It was really good. Another place where they make pretty much everything on site. The food was excellent. The service was fantastic. And they offer lots of pies. One of the options was Chocolate French Silk (it tasted just like Bakers Square!). The dining are was clean and well appointed. We were happy to say the least. The food was delicious Eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast. My dad got the burger, fries and slice of cake for $10 which is a great deal. Their menu is very big and they have alcoholic beverages as well. Great breakfast lunch and dinner options. My only complaint is that the restaurant is very outdated. They need to get rid of the carpet and do some remodeling but the food and service was great. I can't wait to come back here and try more options. read more

We came here for brunch after unloading baggage at the resort we're staying at. We sat down quickly and our waitress came and took our order . Very disappointed. I've been to the Perkins on international drive and I never had a problem. I knew this was going to be a bad experience as soon as I saw there was an empty parking lot. I knew again it was going to be bad when an elder was taking our order and didn't write down our order.. he tried to memorize it. I tried to do the build a breakfast but apparently I couldn't choose a waffle. I ordered the Belgian waffle with bacon and breakfast potatoes and was given hash browns which I did not ask for. I didn't want to bother the gentleman because he was nice but I was very disappointed. I ended up giving my partner the hash browns. Please implement writing down orders to avoid issues! We were seated quite quickly although we were there really early before 7:00 a.m. our waitress was really nice she had a big section and still made a lot of time to wait on us. They have a menu that you can order for $4.99 but it's like four options of pancakes if you add anything it's extra. We ended up getting breakfast for two with two coffees and an orange juice in the bill was around 60 bucks which is pretty expensive for breakfast but it was decent. The biscuit was fluffy but could have been cooked a little longer. The bacon was great and my Skillet was good it had sausage ham bunch of meats and it was built on crispy tater tots. The country fried chicken was really good needed a little bit of salt but the flower was really thin and crunchy and had some flavor. They had beautiful pies which I haven't tried yet but I plan to before I leave. The ambiances like any typical diner breakfast place. Came out quickly and was hot. The guy was nice and understaffed and possibly some water leak going on with turbo fans blowing on you directly while seated to eat so the smell wasn't pleasant but, they added a donation to our bill without asking and we overlooked it and just seen it. Perkins was a large casual restaurant offering a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch , and dinner such as seafood, appetizers, omelets, comfort foods, burgers, soups & salads, bakery items (cakes, pies, muffins, cookies, etc.), hot & cold beverages, and so much more. When I was finally seated, a pleasant female server took my drink order - a glass of lemonberry splash ice tea which was refreshing. I also ordered the Brioche French toast platter that was served with my choice of eggs ( over hard) and slices of bacon. Everything was made perfectly and was very filling. I can see why a lot of people come here...the staff here makes you feel like you're at home, the food is well prepared and cooked with the required flavors, and the prices are fair. I was on my way to volunteer at Give Kids the World Village today and decided to stop in for an early lunch before my shift. I am so glad I did because they have a roundup promotion that gives all donations to the Village. They also have a physical donation container in the restaurant. That made me like them already. To top that off, they were also serving both breakfast and lunch, with plenty of options for both. I chose the Buffalo chicken melt, and it was delicious. The fries were also great with a salt and cracked pepper seasoning on them. Service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be back. read more

I loved everything about this restaurant. I wish I had taken the time to snap pictures of the food because it was delicious! I don't remember the waiters name but he was super friendly and helpful. He was a black guy with an accent. We went there as a family still celebrating my sister's 80th birthday. I ordered blueberry pancakes and an everything omelette that came with potatoes. I'm drooling just talking about it cause this was the best breakfast I have had from a restaurant in I don't know when. I can't say enough about the food or the service. The restaurant was nice and quiet and the comfortably accommodated all of us which was about 25. It just topped off the whole weekend. This is the second time in a few months that I've had a bad experience. The food was cold, The English muffin under the eggs for egg Benedict wasn't even toasted. Just soggy. The fruit that came with it tasted musty. So much so that I was checking it for mold. I had a few grapes and quit. Tasted as if it was about to spoil. Another experience like this a few months ago or so where I was hoping for a good meal with there roast beef. Everything was cold including the coffee. I'm not giving Perkins another chance. I figured this time I'll pick something simple like eggs benedict. Well that didn't work out so well. This location I picked because we were nearby at a Airbnb with my family of five. While we sat and waited on other tables being served before us and sat down after us a waitress finally came. The floors were covered in trash! Then my food finally came I have several pieces of hair entangled in my eggs. I sent the breakfast back only to wait another 15 minutes while everyone completed their food and to be greeted with more food that consisted of burnt pancakes and eggs that were the consistency of soup! We have Perkins at home and it's super old and out of date so we don't go there much. This one was alittle more updated. We have it a try cuz they're French toast sounded delicious. I got this new item that was called a Big Coy get Sunrise Skillet. Omg it was so good. It's a bed of crispy smacked tater tots (which I am a sucker for) and has sausage and bacon and ham on it with cheese and gravy with eggs. It was fantastic. My husband got a huge breakfast that came with pancakes and French toast so we shared. I love their French toast. I got a slice of the Heath bar cheesecake to go. I love cheesecake and I love toffee. I went here on Wednesday with my family and my sister's significant other's family. It was the first time we were meeting for brunch. I saw the red flags when we first entered this establishment. One whole side of the restaurant was utterly empty, and only the other half was open. There were only two waitresses, one busboy, and the manager working the restaurant. We waited around fifteen to twenty minutes to get a table and then waited at least another ten to get our drinks and food order put in. I felt terrible because you could see the restaurant was obviously understaffed. Under different circumstances, I would have gone to a different restaurant, but the other half of our party wanted to eat here. The food came, and it was fine. I heard an older couple complaining about the long wait for food, and one of the waitresses explained that they only had two cooks in the back. I personally wouldn't come back here until they get more staff. read more

When we arrived, the waitress asked us if we wanted something to drink while we looked over the menu. We said she could bring coffee for all of us. She brought a carafe but there was no cutlery on the table. I asked for cutlery so I could stir the cream and sugar in my coffee. She said she would bring the cutlery when we were ready to order. Meanwhile, the coffee got cold. She finally came to take our order and I had to remind her to bring cutlery and replace the coffee. We ordered and when the food finally came, it wasn't hot. Also, the toast had very very little butter on it--just a dab in the center. Even though I should've asked for more butter I didn't -- I couldn't be bothered. I would not go back to this location.
